Board of Director Nominations

The Kentucky Senior Living Association (KSLA)’s 2024 Nominating Committee, comprised of Susan Matherly (McDowell Place of Danville), and Bailee Robertson (BeeHive Homes of Grayson County), is pleased to provide you with the nomination form for six provider member seats (President, two-year term; Vice-President, two-year term; Secretary, two-year term; and three Member At-Large seats, 2-year terms) for election to the KSLA Board of Directors. In addition, Kentucky Senior Living Association is also accepting nominations for the Associate Board member seat, a two-year term.

By February 23, 2024, providers may nominate themselves or another provider member for one of the six provider member seats. Associate members may nominate themselves or another associate member for the Associate Board member seat. Elected Directors for these seven board seats begin their terms of service on July 1, 2024.

KSLA has eight elected Directors, each of whom shall be the owner of, or employed by, a provider member, and one associate member representative, and the immediate past president, which position shall be non-voting. Four of the elected provider member Directors shall be the officers, and four of the elected provider member Directors shall represent the membership at-large.

• Provider member elections will be held at the annual membership meeting, during the 2024 Conference, on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Nominees for a contested seat will be given the opportunity to address the delegates just prior to the election on March 14, 2024.
• The Associate member election will be held at the 2024 Conference on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Nominees for a contested seat will be given the opportunity to address the associate members just prior to the election on March 13, 2024.

KSLA’s bylaws stipulate that, with the exception of the immediate past president, no Director can serve on the Board of Directors for more than six full consecutive years, and then will not be eligible for election again until he/she has been off the Board of Directors for at least two full consecutive years. In addition, no more than two persons under common ownership or management shall serve on the Board of Directors at the same time.
