From DAIL: Visitation Guidance Released in November 2020 Still in Effect

(From Commissioner Elridge, 1/22/2021)

DAIL truly appreciates your communities patience and participation in the COVID-19 vaccine administration. We are here to support your communities through the pandemic and have seen increased communication and collaboration through this trying pandemic between ALCs and DAIL staff.

As vaccines are being administered, please keep in mind that guidance for visitation, communal dining, community activities, and off site visitation has not changed. The current guidance has been effective since issued on November 16, 2020. We are closely monitoring CDC recommendations as vaccines are being administered in Assisted Living Communities and will keep you updated as we learn more.

Now is a good time to review your DAIL preparedness plans as we start a new year to ensure your plans reflect your current operating procedures. If you have changes to your preparedness plans, please send them to Carrie Anglin.

You can review CDC guidance for assisted livings at Here. If you have questions regarding the current guidance or the preparedness plan, please contact Carrie Anglin at Carrie.Anglin@ky.gov.
