Preparedness Resource for COVID-19 Planning

The CDC has created a checklist so that facilities may self-assess their strengths and weaknesses in their current preparedness plan. This checklist identifies key areas that long-term care facilities/communities should consider in their COVID-19 planning and could be used in our own preparedness documentation. Helpful information is provided via links to websites throughout the checklist.

All communities must rely on guidance and directives from DAIL/OIG as this checklist does not take those into account. However, the checklist does highlight important areas to review to prepare for the possibility of residents with COVID-19 in the future.
