Reviews
for The Enclave of East Louisville
My mom moved to The Enclave of East Louisville 5 months ago and has been thriving ever since in their warm, friendly, welcoming environment. The staff, caregivers, nurses, residents, and family members have all become our extended family. They offer a very happy place to live with many activities including fitness classes, crafting, gardening, cooking, technical talks, bible study, physical and mental games, outings (shopping, dining, cultural), nightly movies, and daily happy hour with live music several times a week. The food is very good, they offer a wide variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts including several flavors of hand-scooped ice cream. Cameras are allowed in the apartments so you can easily keep an eye on your loved one. I had to work out of town for a month and never worried about my mom’s care, I knew she was in good hands and in constant communication with me visually and verbally. Plus, knowing I could get in touch with the caregivers 24/7 gave me tremendous piece of mind. The management team is truly a cohesive team and is beyond kind and caring to the residents and their families. They go above and beyond to take care of everyone including staying overnight at the property when there is inclement weather and picking up employees so they can safely get to and from work. Safety is definitely a top priority for residents and guests. Several of the staff members have been with the company and property for many years, some since the building opened. I highly recommend The Enclave of East Louisville; my only regret is not moving my mom there sooner!
One last compliment for the exceptional care provided to my Mother. From the time my mother became a resident the clinical staff went above and beyond to assure all her needs were met. This staff consistently provided loving care to assure my Mother was happy and comfortable.. The facility staff consistently encouraged resident involvement in daily activities. . Mike the Administrator truly cares about each of the residents and families. . I would like to personally extend a heartfelt Thank you to Ellen, Cindy, Damiem, Misty and Shawna the Hairdresser, and the lovely front desk representative Emmy Anderson. . The receptionist up front always had a welcoming smile. Additionally every caregiver within this facility truly displayed a caring, can do attitude. I am sure there are some of the wonderful staff that I failed to mention, however the exceptional care that every staff provided is one I will always cherish. If you are seeking assisted living for your loved one I can assure you that your loved one will be provided extraordinary care at the Enclave.. The staff in this building were all truly a blessing.
We are grateful for such an informative and welcoming tour of Enclave Memory Care with Cathie - and the gift of the most heavenly homemade pecan chocolate pie by their chef.
Such an amazing community. You can honestly tell that the residents and their families love their community. Staff genuinely cares about the residents they serve daily and I have never seen a community so focused on Life Enrichment. There is a Director and 5 Assistants that cover both assisted living and the memory care neighborhood. There is constantly something happening and the staff is amazing about making sure that residents get to all the activities that they want to participate in. The entire staff at The Enclave of East Louisville are warm, friendly, and family oriented.
Wonderful community! Residents are happy and staff is always friendly! Would absolutely recommend!
Love working with Kathie and Mike! Enclave is a great place to move your loved one. I have seen first hand how much my clients thst I have moved there love it.
The facility is nicely decorated and feels like home. The apartments are a good size and up to date. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The common areas are tidy and clean. They treat the residents with compassion and care. The food seems to be better than average. When my mother was dying the staff was very attentive and kind to us as well. It is probably more expensive than many people can afford but I felt it was worth it. I felt comfortable leaving her in their care when I could not be there.
I Am an employee here at the ENCLAVE. And, my mother lived here. It doesn’t get any better than this for senior living, whether you’re working here or pampering the sweet residents. It is truly a family.
The nurses and care staff are fabulous and the executive staff is amazing!
I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Enclave. They are all so kind and caring to my father. I call them “The Saints”.
I'm grateful that there's a place in this world like the Enclave. It's a beautiful home away from home where the residents are cherished and treated like beloved family members.
Although my mom’s stay at the Enclave was brief they took great care of her during her last days. All the staff, from the administrators to housekeeping and nurses, showed compassion, concern for her wellbeing, and empathy for myself and my family. Thank you to everyone at the Enclave.
The Enclave has such a warm family feeling for the residents and their families. My parents are so well cared for and valued. We are very pleased we chose the Enclave for their home.
What a wonderful place and by wonderful people - special
My mother has been very happy living at the Enclave. From the Executive Director to the receptionists, everyone treats her like family.
I am so thankful for the care my Mother receives at The Enclave. The staff are wonderful, they are very caring. I can rest easy and that is such a blessing.
They take incredible care of my Dad. The staff can't be beat!
My heart has been filled with so much love from each individual who works so hard to make my mom and many others feel so at home. From the front office, nurses, PT, OT, Speech therapy….everyone! Each one have huge hearts and we totally have become family. So blessed for The Enclave
Dad has been at the Enclave for almost 2 years and it has been a very good experience for him and for his family. Couldn’t really ask for better.
The staff here is wonderful. So friendly and caring! Awesome group of people. 🙏🏻
My father in law and his wife are residents and I enjoy visiting them. The Enclave is a nice home and the staff cares for them well!
The Enclave of East Louisville is a wonderful place and we are enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving party. I moved my mother in just about three weeks ago and have found the staff to be caring and attentive. I appreciate all they have done to make her feel welcome and to provide the care she needs. Thank you to everyone!
Great atmosphere and the staff is outstanding. So happy to have family here.
Love this place. My mom is so happy here. The staff loves on her and everyone knows her name. Management is attentive to my concerns and special requests.
Couldn't imagine a better place for my mom. She is cared for and well loved and seems very comfortable there. We love it.
Our mother’s been a resident at The Enclave for almost two years. She feels safe, respected and well cared for. The staff overall makes it feel like home to the best of their abilities. Healthcare staff is responsive and pleasant to communicate with. Food service, activities and special events are outstanding as well. The courtyards and outside sitting areas are beautiful and well preserved.
While sitting w my MIL for dinner, the interactions between the residents & staff is like watching a family meal. Familiar, respectful & with dignity. We appreciate being part of this community.
It’s been a rough few months, first learning of my father’s terminal condition, and secondly navigating care. It was obvious very quickly we didn’t have the capacity to handle his current and coming needs. After being turned down again from another facility for reasons that don’t make sense. “He’s sick but basically not sick enough to come here.”, I contacted the Enclave. From my initial conversation with Mike (Exec Dir), Kieleigh (Sales), Josh, Damien, Sherrie, DD, Sarah…..absolutely everyone I’ve been in contact with has been responsive, empathic, and provided support they didn’t have to. It’s the things that people do when no one is watching. Sherrie was concerned if I’d eaten on the first day and made sure I had food (chef prepared). Damien hung the decor in the room simply because I fussed at myself about forgetting the hammer/nails. DD loved on us all (him and my brothers) the first night here. Gave us helpful tips and what to expect. And Sarah. Sarah was the first in all the clinical staff anywhere in any facility to sit down with him eye level and patiently help him through the anxiety and confusion. Again, all of these things happened when no one was watching. There was no expectation and they exceeded it anyway. When I say grateful! Thankful! And so very appreciative. I can’t even begin to adequately express what all of their compassion and support has meant to us.
I feel my grandmother is truly safe and happy at this beautiful place! The staff is so kind and caring, Kieleigh help make the transition here perfect and there is always multiple fun activities for my grandmother to choose from. Well run facility and staff!
Our mom moved into the Enclave about three weeks ago. From the moment we met with Kieleigh to take the tour, we knew it was exactly what she needed. We have been so impressed with everyone we have met in these few short weeks. We have visited most every day and have witnessed firsthand that they truly walk the talk. It is definitely very much a family feel. All of the staff greet her by name and they have been very engaging to help Mom adjust to her new community. There are so many fun activities planned every day and Mom has enjoyed the social hour with different themes and music. Any questions we have had has been quickly answered. Mike, Josh, Damian, Kieleigh, and so many others have made us feel like we are already part of the family. Her daily care staff treat her so kindly and Mom has had nothing but praise for them. We are looking forward to watching mom continue to settle in and live her best life!
They did not do laundry as often as they promised. My loved one dropped food on floor while eating and a day later it was still there. My loved one sat in a wet diaper. My loved one also laid on a bed with no sheets. Had we not lived close and checked often, God only knows the conditions. Sorry to say we would not recommend
Great place. Great caring staff. Staff seem to enjoy working there. Facility is kept up and bright Our brother is up and active here whereas before he mostly just wanted to sleep. Staff seem to work hard to keep him active
Our mother has been at The Enclave for 3 months. She has acclimated well thanks to the friendly attentive staff. We visited Mom today and she told us 10 times how nice everyone is at The Enclave. Thank you Enclave for making Mom feel at home!
My father is going to The Enclave of East Louisville. I like it. It received memory care place of the year the last two years for the country by US News & World Report. It's accessible, friendly, and very clean. There's not that many people. It's open and bright. They're all experienced. The salesperson has been there probably the shortest, which is a couple of years. The general manager has been there since they opened, like 12 years ago. They seem to cater to the residents' needs. For example, they're signing in deliveries right now, and they're not just bringing them to the room. I showed up yesterday to build a bed and they had done it. The food looks and smells good. It doesn't have that industrial food cafeteria smell. I saw the delivery coming in of fresh veggies and stuff. I've only been to the memory care side, but that seems top-notch.
Enclave Assisted Living is one of the best facilities in Kentucky. My husband and I toured many facilities in Louisville, KY. Touring facility we were met with a warm welcome. Everyone we encountered was kind and friendly. We didn't schedule a tour however everyone was extremely helpful and took the time to answer all our questions, Upon admission to facility this staff literally rolled out the red carpet to welcome my Mother in law. I want to personally say a huge Thank you to Kieleigh,Mike,Ellyn,Damion,Cindy who all assisted with answering questions and assuring a smooth transition. Additionally, every staff member asked my Husband and I specific things that my Mother in law enjoyed. Meghan introduced herself and asked questions pertaining to her daily care needs. Over the weekend moving items in Alice provided a warm welcome and assured us all would make sure she was happy and well cared for. I've been in Healthcare for many years and I can assure you this facility is top notch. Huge shout out to all the Enclave Staff for making a difficult decision easier.
Beautiful community, Wonderful staff, friendly and caring atmosphere.
Beautiful facility with a caring staff and team. Resort feel with all the care our loved ones need while living there best life ever!
It’s been a few months since my Mother has been here. While there the turnover amongst the staff was insane. No Director for months. They never consulted any med changes with the family though we were making all medical decisions. Couldn’t put 2 and 2 together that med changes they made were causing my Mother’s symptoms. My family would clean my mother’s room while the staff sat on their phones. Constantly mixed clean and dirty laundry because they wouldn’t put any of it away. Constantly sent her to the Hospital. It took me months to leave this review but I am now because we couldn’t be happier with our new facility. If your loved one needs memory care take Enclave off of your list. This place has no idea what they’re doing. They gave us no stability while we were seeking answers and put my Mother’s health in jeopardy. Don’t fall for the pretty decorations.
My loved one was previously a resident at The Enclave of East Louisville and overall her experience at this facility was pretty good overall. The activities were great. The friendliness, care services and value for cost were good. The cleanliness was okay. Some of the staff were very compassionate and others were just average.
Management is so amazing and sweet, always have the brightest smile and energy when I see everyone when I walk through the doors , BEST residents ever everyone’s always happy and looking good , a lot of activities to do around the building , very great decorations , such great energy what a wonderful place to be! I absolutely LOVE coming here , you’ll fall in love with management , meet residents and fall deeeeeper in love . I love them!
This is one of the best facilities I’ve seen! All the staff are very nice & friendly and make sure you feel at home! Walking through the building it looks amazing & nicely organized. All the residents look very happy and always have activities and outings to keep them going! I highly recommend the enclave!
This is an absolutely beautiful community. The staff is always so friendly and willing to help. Memory care is great and the residents look happy and the staff is friendly and supportive.
Visit your loved one as often as possible, at different times and on different days. The caregiver team, housekeepers and dining room servers are all understaffed. There is frequent turnover on the management team and the nurse's aides complain a lot, but they work hard.
My loved one was a resident at The Enclave of East Louisville. Everyone was very friendly at this facility. My loved one liked all of the activities. I think he tried everything. It was good for him to be involved. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
Our family had an in person tour with The Enclave and for our Aunt it was a little to high end but we loved the community and the tour experience. The staff who were leading the tour we found to be very professional and knowledgeable when answering our questions.
Before Enclave, we tried several different facilities for my father. He didn't like any of them. He felt isolated and alone. At Enclave he's made friends, the staff is top-notch, and refers to it as his "home".
In the beginning everything was very good, but lately it has deteriorated. We've had a difficult time getting her medications on time. She has to go down and ask for them. Her 8:30am medications are being given to her around 11:30am-12pm. She also has long term insurance and they aren't getting the paperwork completed. The first month she was there they filled it out properly and we received a reimbursement. Since then, it hasn't happened. The food services people are very very friendly and so are the residents, but the staff not so much. If you're considering it because either you or your loved one needs medical attention, I would say go some place else.
My mom has been at the Enclave since [removed], and she is very happy there. I chose it for her because of the room choice, the lovely campus, and especially the proximity to me. There are also many activities and frequent entertainment occasions. The staff are attentive and accommodating. I am hard pressed to think of any negatives! Mom does see her own doctors and does not need to depend on in-house doctors.
The Enclave of middletown is a warm, friendly environment that everyone would love to attend.
My mom is at The Enclave of East Louisville. It is a beautiful place, it's newer, it's clean, and it's very welcoming. She has a one-bedroom unit and we're very pleased with the amount of space and the closet space. We're pleased with the entire facility. The staff at the enclave are very caring, very warm people, and they are more than happy to do what they need to do to get the resident happy and adjusted into the new community. My mom would not do activities before, and she has gone for activities from 10:00 in the morning until 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. She is enjoying her experience. They play bingo left, right, center, they have chair yoga, and chair exercises. They also have arts and crafts, and they have a happy hour. They have a resident council, and they have activities out to restaurants, and to a grocery store. She likes the food.
