Updated Guidance & Fact Sheet from DAIL Regarding Emergent Requests for PPE

On April 29, 2020 we received the following updated guidance from Buddy Hoskinson regarding emergent requests for PPE:

The purpose of this email is to disseminate the attached “UPDATED” guidance on how to request Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) under Governor Beshear's "Healthy at Work" initiative for the reopening of healthcare services. Only emergent requests for PPE to support direct COVID-19 patient care will be considered. This guidance is specific to the following PPE:

  • N95 Masks
  • Isolation Gowns
  • Face Shields
  • Surgical (Droplet Masks)
  • Examination Gloves
  • Coveralls

Please review the UPDATED guidance pursuant to Executive Order 2020-215 and the reporting requirements and request process, to include stipulations related to the review, approval allocation and distribution of PPE.
