Reviews
for Arcadian Cove Senior Living
Very nice facility and very welcoming ❤️
They have amazing staff. They go out of their way to have activities for the residents at Arcadian Cove.
Very friendly staff. Always willing to go above & beyond for residents. A wonderful place to live.
The meals that are served to the residents could be better and when it comes to the care services - it would be good if someone could dress a wound.
Has a down home atmosphere would be the place I liked to be when and if I ever need a place for extra care.
My father-in-law was at Arcadian Cove Senior Living. The grounds were decent, but nothing spectacular. The rooms were nice. He had a one-bedroom and the other half was like a living room area. There were occasional issues with the room. For whatever reason, the kitchen sink leaked almost weekly, so that was kind of annoying. Maintenance was in his room quite frequently, and they never were able to fix whatever the issue was permanently. It was like a constant issue in his bedroom. The people who took care of him on a day-to-day basis, I very much appreciated all their work and help. The administrative staff was kind of rude, not anybody that I would ever want to deal with again. They had a lot of activities. He would attend them occasionally. They always had a movie night. There were painting and decorating for holidays. The food was not the best. I'd describe it as cafeteria-level food. It was not a very pleasant experience there, but I really enjoyed the staff who took care of him day-to-day. The one thing that it had going for him was it was fairly cheap. They need to hire new administrative staff because they're rude, not willing to work with us as caregivers of our elderly parents. They left my father-in-law in the toilet for 12 hours. That was a big reason as to why we do not like that facility at all.
This is a wonderful place for someone that needs assistance. Everyone is super super nice. lots of activities that they very much encourage the residents to participate in
Our family is very happy with the Arcadian Cove community. I think the staff has been wonderful with my Mother in-law The most important thing for us is how she is treated with compassion and respect
Our mother was there for over a year. At first we’re thought it was ok but then the constant turnover in personnel started happening. They will charge you for every time someone comes in the room or is needed. I would not recommend to anyone! The care was minimal and mom fell at least once while under direct care and needed stitches/staples in her head. The food is blah and the pretty much the same daily. They will raise the level of care every chance they get. They’re all about the money!!! We’re still trying to get refunded what was promised after mom left in middle of month. Its under new management but from what I see it’s worse than the previous management. I suggest you look elsewhere for a safe, decent place for your loved one. There’s a reason they are in the cheap end.
Visiting a relative in the dinning hall and kourtney I guess she is the director was very rude to a housekeeper in front of us I’ve noticed a a big turn over in new employees In the past year Maybe kourtney should learn to be kinder to her employees
The rooms were bigger at Arcadian Cove Senior Living, and the staff was really friendly. The amenities were included in the price. The activities and laundry were included. They have puzzles, books, and a library. Cable was included. We did not eat there, but the food looked good.
Everybody at the Arcadian Cove community is so nice and helpful, and based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend the community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.
My in-laws will be moving to Arcadian Cove Senior Living. It's very, very nice, and decorated very nicely. It's quiet and clean, and everybody that I met, including the staff, was absolutely great. The person who gave us the tour was wonderful, she was great, she explained everything, and I was very satisfied. The nurse came out yesterday and did an evaluation and was awesome. We haven't experienced the food but we've talked about the menu, and some of the things on the menu sounded very good. It sounds exactly like the kind of food that they needed, and they have two meal options. There were several people there doing several things, a couple of them were doing cards, and playing cornhole, and they were talking a lot about how much fun they had doing it. The tour was really good. It's a nice place. A person just moved out of this unit that my father-in-law wanted, and they were still working inside it. They also showed me a room that was finished; it looked very nice and clean.
Arcadian Cove is amazing. Their staff is top notch and second to none. My family and I are so thankful for the care they provide and the quality of life they provide to our elderly! Love this place and the people who make up this wonderful community!
My father is a resident at Arcadian Cove. He was left on the toilet for 12 straight hours from Christmas evening until 12:25pm the following day and they only came and got him for lunch after I called into the front desk. The whole point of assisted living is knowing that your loved ones are well taken care of and attended to. Lapses such as this are simply inexcusable, should never occurred and could have been avoided if management had proper protocols in place. Given that the decision of where to place your loved one is one of the most important and expensive choices you'll likely ever make, it's worth considering that if it happened to my father it can happen to your loved one as well.
They have given us good peace of mind knowing that our mom is somewhere safe and being looked after and getting the help she needs as she needs it.
Arcadian Cove is amazing to their staff and residents. They are always taking their residents on trips and posting them on Facebook. It is a cute community and very clean.
The staff at Arcadian Cove go above and beyond for their residents. They maintain a very nice community and ensure that the residents are well cared for. Highly recommend them if you are looking for Assisted Living in the area.
Everything they did was absolutely top notch! The only reason why my friend had to move was because he had to go into a nursing home. He could no longer stay in assisted living as he needed two people to care for him, so he no longer qualified. He loved it out there at Arcadian Cove and they were very, very accommodating for him. They even wrote and sent him flowers when he was in the hospital. They were top notch and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends - if they need that type of service.
Arcadian is the 3rd facility that my mom has stayed in. Cons: 1. Too expensive. [amount removed]a month for a small room. 2. Food. Worst of all facilities. 3. No nurse. Have been trying to fill a nurses position since April. 4. Missed medications. About once a week mom has not received her meds. Unacceptable. 5. Front desk screening. Nobody at front desk about half the time. Screening is not being done. 3 covid outbreaks since April. 6. Management is inexperienced. Which I'm sure has led to the current problems. 7. Provisions inventory. The facility is per contract supposed to provide certain items. They are consistently out of these items. Pros: 1. Cleanliness. 2. Staff. Friendly, caring and helpful for the most part. 3. Activities. Put a lot of time into activities. Maybe too much. Overall grade B- .
Arcadian Cove Senior Living is very modern and very clean. The leadership team seems very experienced. The facility itself and the rooms are excellent. They're very good at what they do. They allow my mom to bring her dog with her (as they allow small pets). They have nice grounds and walking paths to where she can get outside. Their meal plans seem to be very adequate and nutritious. They're helping with making sure medicine is taken at the appropriate times. They have a lot of daily activities and it's varied. It's not just the same thing every day. She's very happy with the quality of food. She's a diabetic, so they provide sugar-free, low carb selections.
We had a nice tour with Arcadian Coves. The facility itself was small, mom wanted something bigger. They also did not provide the medical that she needed. It was just not the right fit for us
We chose Arcadian Cove because of the friendliness of the staff, the information during the tour, and the cost. The room sizes here spacious and large compared to some others that we looked into, residents can get around easily with a walker. When she first moved in, the food was chef prepared. It has changed since then. I would recommend.
Arcadian Cove went above and beyond to welcome my mother. I'm so appreciative of their kind, loving ways. I felt completely safe their current covid protocols and can reach my mother anytime I like.
Unfortunately, Arcadian Cove did not work out. They were not licensed to care for my father in the way he needed. He only needed his blood pressure taken from time to time and they could not take his blood pressure. The staff were friendly. The facility was clean.
I have a family member who lives in this facility and I’m in and out all the time and the lady who sits up front her name is [name removed] is the rudest lady there you ask her a question and she says she don’t know she will find out and when you ask her again she still doesn’t know. the residents complain about her. And I don’t know why she sits up there she is not trained for that position. I’ve seen here on her phone multiple times and playing word search. The care staff are wonderful the do a wonderful job taking care of the residents. The housekeepers do a wonderful job making sure this facility is in great shape.Thank you
I have a family member that lives at Arcadian Cove and I want to brag on [name removed]. She is an amazing person and goes above and beyond her job to help out the facility, i have spoke with her on several occasions about our concerns and she has always gets them resolved. Seems like watching her work she knows how to do the job in every department. Anytime you go in to speak to [name removed] (the ED) she is never there and no one knows when she will be back.. I have to go [name removed] to get the answers I need and she's always there to answer them. I think you could run the place by yourself! THANKS [name removed] FOR THE AMAZING JOB YOU DO.
My dad has been at this facility for several years and I just wanted to say that I could not be more happier of where my dad lives. The staff has always treated my dad as if he is family and I love that about the facility. In my opinion Arcadian Cove is great in everyway couldn't ask for any better. Arcadian Cove is doing things the right way they have love compassion an they CARE!
I’m a resident of Arcadian I have lived her for the past 4 months. I have a one bedroom apartment on the end of the building with a great view of the outside. They allow me to have my pets which makes me very happy. The staff is kind checking on my every two hours after my last surgery. They delivered my meals to my room until I felt better at no charge to me. I really enjoy it here and hope to be well enough to stay for a very long time.
****Great Staff -Great Place****** Arcadian is a wonderful community! My mom lived at Arcadian for the past two years. Unfortunately, she had a surgery that has made her decline and was no long able to stay at home at Arcadian. We moved her to [name removed]. We miss Arcadian so much. I loved driving up and seeing mom and the other residents on the front porch rocking in those white chairs. Sometimes I would stay in my car for a few extra minutes to watch them laugh, smile and enjoy eachothers company. The staff at Arcadian is fantastic! The lady that runs the building [name removed] came To visit mom twice in the hospital and many times in rehab. She even gave me her personal phone number. I called her so many times to ask what should we do? She would just put me at ease with that sweet voice and say we will support you in whatever you need to do and we will be here to help you. I can’t tell you how that made me feel. My whole family is missing everyone that works there. We were and our one big family. I feel like everyone at that building were truly invested in my mom,me and my family. They even helped me find placement for mom. This building may not be the newest or the biggest. It doesn’t have a swimming pool, movie theater but what is does have is caring and compassionate people who love our loved ones as much as we do. I would recommend this community to anyone and everyone.
Nightly checks are not made on residents. No one answers the phone at the desk at night. Rooms at Arcadian Cove do not appear to be cleaned on a regular basis. Carpet in halls and rooms (have seen a few) need to be vacuumed regularly, cleaned and/or replaced. Directors are not visible or available. Food services are lacking in that many items are on offered lists but not available. 2 lunch or dinner options are available but servers are frequently “out” of one of the choices. Food is often prepared poorly. A peanut butter & jelly sandwich may have only peanut butter.
Arcadian Cove is isolated with no activities around it. There isn't anything close by so you have to go 10 or 12 miles to the actual town. When I got there, the staff members were waiting for me; they were friendly and knew the clientele by name. I saw some residents playing cards in a room. The place is set up more like a hospital than retirement living, but it was very clean and the dining area was fine.
I had good feelings about Arcadian Cove. My friends were treated well. We used to come over for potluck lunch and ate in their small meeting room every other week. They had chair exercises and a nice room with card tables, sofas, a fireplace, and a big TV. They had a group that played cards every night. My friend's room was very nice and clean.
I liked Arcadian Cove. I saw an empty room that was bigger than ordinarily. I saw some rooms that people were living in, and I thought I could manage that. They were pleasant, and the place was very well done. You could play cards and read, and they brought different people in to talk. The people I met were really great.
We had a tour with another person due to the manager being busy with other things at the time. Our guide was attentive to our questions. The place was impressive all the way through. The studio apartment was the only one we were able to see at the time. We were impressed with the size and update decor. Very modern looking place all together. The activity planner looked awesome with variety of things for residence to do. Facility had many communal areas. Pros: Modern, clean, smelled good, friendly staff, convenient location, close to our house, residence looked happy being there. Cons: Wished could of seen a one bedroom apartment. Can't think of any negatives really.
Beautiful and friendly facility!
My mom has already moved in to Arcadian Cove, and she is in the assisted living section. It's very nice there; everybody's very friendly, and they all know her name. She's involved in activities, and she enjoys the people who are with her. The staff is very cordial, good, and accommodating of her. They have exercises classes and some outings like shopping. The building is nice, clean, and smells good, so that's a plus.
Arcadian Cove was very nice. They showed us some options for the cottages and will build one for you if you want to live independently. For the assisted living, they can arrange for assistance to come in, but they are not a comprehensive facility. The staff was very nice, and the price seemed reasonable.
Mom is settling in. They are very good to her there. She really seems to be getting acclimated to the place. She is making new friends and her health is even getting better since she has been there. Things are wonderful.
They do an absolutely wonderful job at Arcadian Cove! The staff are personable, compassionate, and very friendly! My loved one was nervous about the move to a community, and they really bent over backwards to make her feel welcome! She really seems to be enjoying it here!
The staff members at Arcadian Cove have all been professional, considerate and very friendly. My Mothers says if she can't be home there's nowhere else she'd rather stay. She seems very content. I appreciate everyone at Arcadian Cove.
Great place! probably my favorite
Great place. Offers all of our criteria. I liked it a lot! Thanks much for your help.
