Our dad was in the hospital there. I must say the staff there was great treated my dad wonderfully but one nurse stood out and treated as if he was part of her family. LINDSAY, she'd bring extra pudding or whatever he needed, very attentive. Thank you everyone especially Lindsay.
If I could give less stars and still leave a comment I would. 0/10 I do not recommend going to this hospital. They have very rude and untruthful and unreliable staff. Poor treatment of patients. It's just sad. Also I will add, if you try to speak to someone about an issue, even for the first time....they will call the cops.
My husband tore his shoulder so bad his back was spazzing ....they did nothing
Thank you all from EMT to Ambulance ER and 3rd Floor
The doctors have been kind, the nurses the same, the cnas have been good. The housekeepers are good, the pt and ot are great. The 9nes standing out right now at this vizit are the transport people, theybare funny, get you into good spirits. Ov3er the past few years this place has gotten better emplyees all around. To all the emplyess good job! Thank you for a great stay!
Food and nutrition lady serving on the 4th floor 2-12-26 at lunch was very rude and would not help me in any way
When you decide to ---- around go here and get treated. But do remember there are urgent cares for a reason!
I just do deliveries there, but it is very busy !
No beds waiting in er all night and rooms a mess short staffed
I like my PCM - Maryssa Coyle as a person but the office has been not great. I have been in twice this month, (having to drive 40 min one way for care) once for a new patient appointment with blood work done & today where I needed to receive an X-ray. Office staff was friendly but there is absolutely no follow up or a step forward when you need one. Just a “will call if we see something” while being left in pain with no treatment or a path forward. I have to wait the next day or even two days, to get results or a treatment. Not knowing if what I had was serious or not. I called and have left messages, no phone call back. I’ve been through many doctors and although they are nice when you’re there, there is no after care when you need it. Will be finding a new doctor closer to home in the future
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a less professional, less caring hospital. Why they haven’t shut down is beyond me
If i could give negative stars I WOULD! I traveled an HOUR to be turned away for my appointment bc i was recovering (with no fever) from the flu! This is AFTER THEY RESCHEDULED ME to this location when i was originally supposed to go in my town. And did they call to let me know ? No they did not so i missed it and have had to be rescheduled 3x. Want terrible service regarding your health? Want to wait months on end to show up and be turned away or have the location of your appointment switched without your knowing well Look no further!
This hospital needs to be shut down never again one of advanced don't ever get infusion at this hospital from another person cause they will give you a disease not forgive able
Fast and great attending
Tried multiple times to get a family doctor. They give you a appointment call you the next day and say no doctors are taking new patients. Save yourself the mental stress and stay away from this hell hole
We wouldn't go anywhere else! Love our docs! Fantastic treatment from the moment we walked in! We've been seen and go through surgery at the Same Day several times. Sleep Med couldn't be any more perfect for care! Always caring and professional. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I was referred to Dr. Sandhu for a hysterectomy. I was scared to go to a small town hospital for such a big procedure, but I trusted my gut that she was professional, sweet and down to earth when I met her! I’m so glad I let her do my Hysterectomy, she was phenomenal in every aspect! She did great, I feel great, everything went perfect! All of the staff was wonderful from pre op, surgery, to post op! No complaints at all! I would highly recommend Dr Sandhu and the surgery team at Madisonville Hospital. Dr. Sandhu is so down to earth, easy to talk to and ask questions, she let me know real quick when I was concerned about surgery that as a patient I was the most important, top priority and she would take care of me! Love her💜
This hospital used my insurance to process claims for a patient that is not me. When my insurance called to investigate the fraud, the phone rings endlessly then disconnects. I've called 20+ times and the phone has never been answered. Based on the other reviews of their actual "care" here, this should not be a surprise to me.
Terrible experience we was having are first child together and when we arrived the directions was unclear we had to find are own way to where we was supposed to go,got lost ended up in the NICU On top of that when look at her she started bleeding and leaking fluid and we had to ask for they to change the padding because they left her to lay in it!!ON TOP OF THAT. We was scheduled to be induced at this day and time and yet when we show up the doctor we had been meeting with and talking to who scheduled this date for us isn’t even here….worst hospital I ever been to as someone who worked in law enforcement and from a city like Detroit this was by far the worst experience ever
Poor communication skills. Period.
Ignores Power of Attorney. Mediocre care. Depends on the Dr you get. They change care providers and new Dr's don't check on what needs to be done. Mom had to be readmitted less then 24 hour's after being released.
I was taken care of by 2 nurses one named Laquita who really didn't care if I was in pain. They did not follow dr orders on meds. Also did not give me my nessusary meds. Dr Sent me home sick unable to eat. I would not recommend Baptist health hospital for in house stay. You may end up with those same nurses who don't care that you're sick or in pain. Dr gives orders they don't follow and the doctors give orders again they still dont follow. The parents could end up in a very dangerous situation or even death. These nurses are burnt out and don't care about there job or patients. ER nurses are the only nurses who really care for the patients.. I will not return for a stay only emergency and if I need to be admitted I will go to another hospital.. I have never been so disappointed 😞
I was very hesitant to send my mother here after seeing all of the negative reviews. I can't say anything for ER visits as ours wasn't one. However sending her here one of the best decisions I've made. My mother is currently still resting in this hospital after being sent to their ICU with breathing complications caused by COPD and Pneumonia. They're the only reason she's alive. They've been more than kind to us and have made sure to thoroughly explain everything to us every time we've asked. If they're unsure of something they've gone out of their way to find someone that knows. They're fully handling everything regarding her Bipap and insurance for us so that my mother can just focus on healing and we can focus on being her support team. My mother and I have already made plans together that if anything happens in the future to anyone in our immediate family, this is our hospital of choice. Thank you everyone at Deaconess for the amazing care and compassion you've provided us. You've literally held my family together and I can't thank everyone on the team enough.
My mother is in ICU right now (this was in late Feb early March 25) and Holly, Brianna, and Rob, RN’s, are so kind and gentile with her. They are all in ICU where she is. I am forever grateful for the kind care they are giving her. Brittany in Respiratory is also amazing and so kind to my mother. No way to tell if she will recover from this but if not at least she was treated warmly in her last hours. Thank you to everyone in ICU. Update 5/10/25::: Now it’s the day before Mother’s Day. My mother did not make it. She passed away soon after my original post. So hard to write this but now I can. Dr. Gerloch, Dr. A, Dr. Jones, DR Vani, Bethany and Christian from respiratory, Miranda, Michael, Amy, Leslie, Natalie and Ashley - ICU RNs all were amazing with my mother. I cannot express my gratitude for this team giving my mother so much love in her final days. My brother and I are forever grateful for their kindness. Thank you for all you all do. ❤️
I've seen all the negative reviews and I'm sorry the experience was less than accommodating. My best friend is still alive. I don't have to imagine what my life would be like if I didn't have her. For that, I am grateful.
So Baptist Deaconess hospital. Just denied my stepfather the right to see his attorney, which is protected by Kentucky State Patient Bill of Rights. They also illegally detained me and kidnapped me and would not allow me to leave. They are not good people. I will follow up with the court documents and emails text messages and phone calls to show that they do not do what they say they are going to do. None of their staff responds to request for information. I will update this post. Update. They continue to not be communicative. Meaning we call them request a call back they do not respond. They tell us that they have found a facility for my stepdad. It falls through.
Nice atmosphere
This is the absolute worst hospital I have ever been i!
Went to the e r with concerns of infection and even with 9 surgeries in my past due to infections, I couldn’t get them to do blood work. When I came in my blood pressure was 171/121 and came down a little while there but was told my vitals loooked great. Nothing was done not can u stand a walk or just a general exam. At no time did I ask for any meds all I ask for was to be check for infections by a blood test I would have been happy with any effort. But after sitting in a room for 3 hours they couldn’t get me out the door fast enough. I wudnt take my dog to them the worst medical facility I have been too. Pass them off and do not dare to ask for help. I hope the doctor there get the same care one day as they gave me. I hated to give them 1 star because they didn’t deserve that high of a mark. If u love the person travel you may save there life, please I can’t say enough about how I was untreated
This hospital is absolutely the worst. I went to the dr in this building to get my estradiol and the doctor never touched me to take bp or anything she talked for a couple minutes about her leaving the hospital and then charged me almost $200.00 that I paid on my insurance app and then they sent me a bill and kept calling said my insurance sent it back in a check but I never seen anything so I paid it again and they sent me a receipt both times I have a receipt paid in full and today they sent me an email I owe 27.50 are you kidding me. I advise everyone if you can go somewhere else please go. I am from out of state and have been to the Baptist Health drs in Jacksonville Florida and they are nothing like this place. This place gives Baptist Health a bad name. I only gave one star because I had too in order to write this review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!!! Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville 👎
This hospital is literally awful. The staff does not communicate with the patient. The wait times are ridiculous. We sat here in the ER room waiting after coming in and being evaluate for chest pain. Not one medical staff member, or staff member at all even stopped to check on the patient for 3 hours. The vitals machine wasn’t even hooked up with tele, and they never noticed. It is dirty and the medical management is awful. Literal bug traps with dead roaches left in the room. The garbage from the previous patient is in a patient belonging bag next to the bed. I feel for any patients who are truly having a medical emergency and this is the only hospital nearby. They need to do better!
We had a great experience here 2 of our children were born here they are professional very helpful and respectful
I was visiting my family member, the nursing staff was great. They need more people working to help with patients. The bathroom for the visitors was nasty. I remember when it was one of the best hospitals as far as to go to.
If I could give less I would, but it only allows you to pick 1 star.. I came 30 mins early for a drug screen. There was no one at the front desk for information, so had to ask someone from the pharmacy for help. She sent me to a different building. Then I go to the second building ask the front desk for help, they send me to the wrong location. I then arrive to the department for drug screening. I tell Jessica, I’m here for a drug test that has to be completed by 9:30 am. She says I don’t know what you want me to do we’re a walk in clinic for drug screening. I tell her this was an employer set drug screen and it was to be completed on time. She says there’s people ahead of you, and people who just walked in. Then tells me I probably should call my employer. I had 3 other options to select for drug screening and knew this should have been my last option. It’s 9:55 I’m just now getting called back they are now telling me they won’t see me because my drug screening expired at 9:30 am.
Waited over 3 hours and had to actually call the hospital in order to see a doctor 20 minutes later. Totally unprofessional and no sense of urgency.
This hospital is a joke. From the parking lot, to the disgusting rooms, staff literally making fun of patients in the ER lobby. I’ve never heard some much disrespect for any patients in all of my years. The hospital VP should walk into the ER as a patient and see how aweful this hospital treats their patients.
They were very helpful to me! Thanks to all those hard working nurses and doctors!
Always had good experiences with this hospital especially with Endoscopy. Denise at the front desk of Endoscopy is the best. She is on top of her job and everyone else’s so she can always point you in the right direction. Dacosta, Fox, and their crew are great.
Have to give props, everyone here was super nice. Dr checked in multiple times and the nurse I had was great.
Had my baby here in 22 and it was not pleasant. The dr who delivered my baby must have went to OBGYN school in the 1900s because when I tell you he was awful he was ATROCIOUS. He ripped my perineum so badly it was SIX count them SIX 3rd degree tears and I’ve honestly never been the same. 😭😭😭 he also broke my baby’s collarbone. This hospital is all about inducing labor for some reason and to me that is suspect. The delivery room was actually really dirty as well as the recovery room. They need to do some deep cleaning in this hospital. When it was time for my babies bottle I had to page the nurse each and every time which was so aggravating I don’t know they couldn’t leave a couple bottles in there. I wouldn’t recommend having a baby here it’s not that great.
On two separate visits to the pediatrician the nurses have made huge mistakes. The first nurse brought in the wrong vaccine. She didn’t double check it, but I did before signing for it and when I mentioned it was wrong she blamed it on the other nurse for giving it to her. The next nurse was new when I brought my toddler for a well check up and she didn’t measure the length of my son correctly. His legs weren’t straight and when I mentioned it she straightened his leg out and it added inches to her original measurement. These are the records being recorded for future use and I would think they should be as accurate as can be, but these nurses seem careless and I’m afraid to trust them.
Clean with friendly staff.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I arrived yesterday after being sent here from urgent care to be admitted. Urgent Care called ahead and forwarded all test results. I waited in the waiting room over 3 hours before being taken to the back. I’m still currently in the Emergency Room waiting for a bed to be admitted. This is beyond ridiculous. And I have not eaten since yesterday as I was told I’d be having surgery today. 24 hours later, no food, no room, no surgery
It's a great hospital with great group of of doctors
They are really slow and don't care to do anything for people
They are good to my mom
Lab wait is ridiculous; waiting 40 minutes with no lab work done.
My wife had an inoperable stroke. The emergency room people were fast to diagnose and relate alternatives. The kind nurses on 3e settled her comfortably in her room. They brought in snacks and drinks for family. When she passed, they left us alone as long as we wished. Their kindness during this time was comforting. I can't thank them enough.
My wife and I love Baptist Health Systems. They have been incredibly good to us. However, the recent switch over to Baptist Deaconess has been a complete failure. The old My Chart system was great. The new one is half assed. When you call for help, they put you back on your Dr. to help you. My Primary Care Dr. doesn't show up as my Dr. anymore. What were you people thinking? Fix the freaking system! I know you don't really care because there is no other alternative in the area, but dang folks, with as much $$$$$$$ as you make off patients, you could try a little harder. After working with the system post change over, Baptist is back to it's high star status with us. Changed from 1 to 4.
I'm not giving in to the fear they tried pushing on me ! I found out that there ARE THINGS I CAN BE DOING to fight cancer on a daily basis ... From what I've been told, with the things I'm doing, we've applied a bandaid, and I AM TREATABLE ! CHEMOTHERAPY is NOT the only way ! Nice people that follow the directions of the FDA. But, cancer is a personal fight too !
