Brownsboro Park is such a beautiful community that feels like a big family. The campus alone is well-kept and huge, but the staff and residents inside truly make all the difference. If you're thinking about moving into a senior community you should DEFINITELY tour this place!!!

My grandmother lived at Brownsboro Park for 9 years. We couldn’t have asked for a better community for her to be a part of. She made so many friends, enjoyed the endless activities and told us she felt like she was home. The staff became an extension of our family. They go above and beyond to make sure their residents are happy and safe. We would recommend Brownsboro Park to anyone!

I have attended a few events with BPR, art in the park and their chili cookoff were GREAT! the staff is so friendly (shout out to Kyra for her work putting these events together) and residents seem really happy here. if my grandmother was local, i'd recommend BPR to her.

Brownsboro Park Retirement has been one of the places I can effortlessly call home! I visit now at limited times but still feel the connections with the residents and staff. The faculty from each department does there absolute best to accompany to any residents needs. Through dining, activities, and relationships. Brownsboro Park serves as a warm and welcoming community to feel support, care, and seen even after retirement.

From the moment you step onto the 14-acre campus, you feel the difference. The staff are truly one-of-a-kind—leading with heart, compassion, and a deep commitment to every resident and their family. They know residents and their loved ones by name, and the level of customer service is nothing short of what you'd expect on a cruise ship. Activities are thoughtfully designed around what residents actually want—from book clubs and card games to restaurant outings, museum trips, live musical entertainment, and happy hour. What’s even more impressive is how involved residents are in shaping their experience. Monthly meetings with the Activities and Culinary teams ensure their voices are heard and their golden years are filled with meaning and joy. Brownsboro Park is more than just a retirement community—it’s a vibrant, welcoming home where families can feel confident their loved ones are safe, engaged, and truly valued. A hidden gem in Louisville that I’m proud to recommend time and time again.

READ FULL HONEST REVIEW!! Plain and simple this place wants an easy transition. My grandfather a 97 year old war veteran came to this facility and was rushed out upon arrival. He came from another independent living facility but like all places with anyone it requires adjusting something that the directors have no patience or time for. First day there he came out of his room wanting help because he was lost “it is a pretty big facility and everything looks the same” an hour later we were greeted by the director and her partner intimidating looks attitude and the vibes of frustration. Asking for a reminder for 97 yr old that it’s breakfast or lunch time is too much to ask them, in their words “we don’t do that here” tried explaining it’s just an adjustment period that he is perfectly capable the decided to take it upon themselves to get senior helpers to stay with him 24hrs a day until they figured a way to get him out racking up over a $2,000 bill in 3 days. It their best con was bringing in a “dementia nurse specialist” suggesting all these things he might have wrong. (My grandfather is 97 doesn’t require assistance walking or eating tells jokes and is very sharp) so I played along but thought it would be best to take their advice and send him to the hospital just for a check up. 10min at the hospital a nurse notifies us the facility will not welcome him back come to find out the dementia lady also specializes in finding people a new place to stay and receives commission. My grandfather had bloodwork many test and all came back great and was approved for independent living. To sum things up if you think your loved one will need any adjusting or may be uncomfortable during their first few nights I would definitely stay far away from this facility also the place is like a ghost town we seen them offer maybe 3 activities a week movies and bingo and happy hour is about it they keep it simple the less they have to do the better. This place is a 1 star resort with minimal staff interaction in my opinion.

I wish I would’ve looked into this place more before sending my 97 yr old war veteran grandfather here. He was their for 3 days & they said he needed to go to the hospital when we got to the hospital they informed us that brownsboro park said he wasn’t welcome back all because he was very confused with moving at the age of 97. When he was discharged from the VA they even said that he was stable enough for assisted living. The facility also needs more activities very outdated.

From the moment I spoke to Kelli Tyler at Brownsboro Park in Louisville,KY, our family knew our mom would thrive in this community after our dad passed away. Kelli was kind, energetic, helpful with information, and gave us a 5 star tour of Brownsboro. Kelli provided us with all the answers Brownsboro had for our mom to feel comfortable and safe and cared for. My mom is extremely happy with the people, the dining, and the activities. We couldn’t ask for a better place for mom to feel loved while still independent. Highly Recommend!

My mother is there we love it. My mom is active and walks daily but I still worry about her. It gives me such peace of mind to know that she has friends she eats and spends time with. If she was in her own house of apartment complex I would worry daily about her. The staff and people here are amazing reasonable priced compared to others I looked at. If you want peace of mind regarding your parents take a minute to tour Brownsboro Park.

My parents moved into Brownsboro Park over five years ago. They have developed close friends and their days are full of laughter and love because of it. There is no doubt in my mind that they would not be as healthy and independent as they are now at age 85 if they had not made the decision to move to Brownsboro Park. Don't sleep on the Sunday brunch. Their grandkids LOVE it ;)

I could not ask for a better environment to support my father during this chapter of his life. The friendly and skilled staff, variety of stimulating activities, and beautiful facilities make Brownsboro Park Retirement Community the perfect home for Dad. I highly recommend them.

My mother was uneasy about moving into a retirement/ assisted living community. She was used to her garden and wanted to be around nature. But after seeing Brownsboro Farms, she decided to give it a try. She couldn’t be happier. The staff is super friendly, they always have activities planned (both at the facility and field trips). When my mother was living alone in a condo, my fear was she would fall and nobody would know. Brownsboro Farms checks on the residents periodically. They make sure rooms and bathrooms have minimal hazards and alert the family whenever there is an issue. I can’t say enough about the facility. It gives me peace of mind and allows my mother to maintain some level of independence.

Gorgeous property, fireproof building, 24-hour security/front desk service, pet friendly and very reasonable all-inclusive pricing. I’ve been here 2 years and my mom 9 years - best in Louisville!

The facility, staff and ambulance is just amazing. It doesn’t have that retirement vibe like what everyone is used to. It feels like home!

I'm in Brownsboro Park Retirement Community. The people that work here are very friendly and very helpful. They have a nice place if you want to take a walk. The grounds are nice. They provide lunch and dinner, and sometimes they have breakfast, too. With regards to activities, they have an area downstairs where they may have somebody come in and entertain the residents, like playing a guitar and singing. They have movies down there on certain nights and stuff like that. In the rooms, the kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and a refrigerator. It's a nice place.

After visiting several facilities around town we decided on Brownsboro Park for my father in-law. It was a great combination of facility, staff, environment and atmosphere. While the transition from a 30 year family home to a retirement community can be challenging, the staff and other residents go out of their way to support you. From a family perspective, we always feel welcome when we visit, and enjoy the reduced stress that comes knowing that our loved one is looked after.

Clean & well cared. It is a contender on my list.

I am a clinician that treats patients here. What I can say about visiting is that I am ALWAYS greeted warmly by staff, the residents are complimentary of the amenities, the dining room is restaurant style with multiple meal options, and the apartments are a nice size and well maintained. My patients are well taken care of (it's independent living so not much assistance is provided) cared for and happy here. . . Which says it all.

Kelli and her team are amazing. This is a wonderful community of people enoying life together.

Great place to live.

There were a lot of people in Brownsboro Park who were hanging out and looking like they were having a good time. The inside was dated, but the person who did the tour was excellent. She was very forthcoming in details and was very pleasant to be with. She was just a very sweet person, very kind, and just wanted to be accommodating. They have an all-inclusive situation and have many things that were offered that my mom wouldn't have to pay extra for.

My mother-in-law is 93 and has lived at Brownsboro Park for 8 years. She loves it! You’d have to drag her away from there kicking and screaming. My deceased father-in-law also lived there for about 5 years and he loved it also. The staff is wonderful and they truly care about their residents. There is also little turnover, which says a lot. This facility has been around quite awhile and is independently owned by people who care. It’s not one of those flashy new places that has recently popped up, but I think it’s a hidden jewel of Louisville. We’ve also found it to be less expensive than other places. My husband and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We would live there ourselves if/when the time comes.

My mom has been at Brownsboro Park for 7 years. It has been a wonderful experience. The staff is kind and Mom has fun with them. I have always found the food to be good, with a nice variety. My mom enjoys all of the activities and never lacks for something to do. I would recommend Brownsboro Park to anyone.

My mother lived at Brownsboro Park for about a year. The staff are friendly, the rooms immaculate, and the food was always pretty good. They even have bar food in the bar area. They have fun in the bar area, and try to maintain an atmosphere of camaraderie. The white tablecloths and service as though one was in a restaurant was lovely. When it was time for my mother to move, the staff tried to help us find a suitable next home for her. The pricing was reasonable, and everyone always so cooperative.

Brownsboro Park Retirement Community was a very nice facility with great staff and good programs. Overall, it had a very good feel to it. We talked with the folks who were living there, and they were very happy. This place is a definite possibility for us.

My mother has been in BBP for 2 years and is very happy there. She participates in a few of the activities, but is satisfied with bingo, occasionally going to Dollar Tree, Happy Hour and some of the arts and crafts. My husband and I hope to be there some day!

Brownsboro Park is a nice facility. I like its location. It's older, but things seemed to be very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice and a little bit bigger. The dining room looks very nice. They also have outings for the guests, and they bring them to doctor's appointments. I know they have games.
