Reviews
for Cambridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Great place my great aunt was a resident here she had to move to another facility be near to family. She was so sad to leave and loved the staff!
The newly remodeled facility along with an amazing staff help make Cambridge a unique and caring facility for our community. I could not ask for anything more.
Amazing and very clean facility! Great staff and amazing care to all residents!!!
I went in for a SRA position they posted stating they needed weekend employees and while I am actually in nursing school and work in a level one trauma unit, I know that I am overqualified for this position as I walk in to the interview process the nurse or nurse aide interviewing me acted like they could give two shits Whether they hired another person or not, I could tell by the vibe all the staff I interacted with that these people do not give a shit about your family member or anyone you send to this nursing facility they are there for a paycheck and a paycheck please find a different nursing home in the area
I've been told about this place from a family friend that use to stay there . Please stay away there's a certain cna who work evenings shifts that yells and loose his patience with residents . Ive been told he throw things etc which is terrible . I can't think of his name is either "mikel"or" Miguel one of those... just heard terrible things and I was told they had lots of roaches i wouldnt suggest this place for your loved one
I know nursing homes always get a bad reputation, but Cambridge is not your typical nursing home. Everyone in there treats these residents like family. If you are looking for a good place to trust with your loved ones, please be assured that Cambridge is the perfect place for you then ! New management has came and made so many wonderful changes. They have completely transformed the inside of the facility with new walls/ floors, new call light systems to make sure all the residents needs are met. This 5 star review is definitely 馃憤 well deserved.
I have been here for 20 years and enjoy taking care of the residents and I am a advocate for them and will do anything I can for them and families to make their stay pleasant. Regardless of anything else that happens we provide good care and take our job seriously. We believe in being positive and not let the negative keep us from doing what we came to do is be a caregivers and treat the resident like our family
I have been back here for almost a year and the residents as well as the staff have made the job very enjoyable
Facility just underwent a huge remodel, new ownership, and is no longer the old Cambridge! Excellent care provided, tenured staff, great therapy team! Highly recommend Cambridge Nursing and Rehab!
When I came to visit my Nana I couldn't believe how terrible the food was, there were roaches in her room, and the staff seemed to generally not care about the wellbeing of the residents. I wouldn't be surprised if elder abuse occurs. My nana isn't verbal but acts scared every time a staff member comes near.
Nursing and workers are great. Administration and GM are terrible. The billing person is aggressive and does not know how to effectively communicate with people. She basically told me she鈥檚 going to take my dad Social Security and leave him with $40 a month even though I鈥檝e had to purchase $300 worth of clothing since he moved there in February. She said she didn鈥檛 care and that she was going to go take his money immediately however they do it through the governmental system. The general manager acts like he鈥檚 concerned, but he could care less. I told him about the clothing and how I continually put notifications up that family does laundry and that his clothes gets stolen. I have video pictures of his clothing and nothing gets done. He said the reality is that all clothing needs to be labeled and I highly disagree with that if the family does the laundry, the laundry should go in the laundry bag regardless. With $40 left per month he will not even have enough money for cigarettes. Medicaid is covering 100% but apparently there鈥檚 a co-pay which is fine but that was never communicated to me by the Medicare person assigned. Again a simple conversation that if the billing administrator could have effectively communicated instead of acting like an irrational ghetto queen.
I've found that their care is effective. They recently modernized the facility and it is greatly improved.
The cleanliness of this place isn't good. The nurses are rude. Took 20 minutes for a nurse to come to my mom's room yesterday when she pressed the call button. I don't recommend this place to no one.
I've tried to get my mother in that facility but the lady that does the admitting I spoke with her she said she was going to get my mother paperwork from the other facility that my mother is at but she has never called me back or done nothing she's ignored my calls that makes no since
My MIL has been at the facility for almost a year now. While the building is not the newest or fanciest, the care they give her has been amazing. They have been very attentive to her needs as her health conditions and dementia diagnosis progress. I appreciate how easy the staff is to work with and are easy to get ahold of. The staff are always friendly and my MIL only has good things to say about her care team. We feel very supported from the facility and I am glad Cambridge taking care of my family.
I have a family member at Cambridge and since July 16, 2023 the AC has not worked correctly. I have brought this to the attention of the Administration on multiple occasions. As of July 30 still no resolution. This place is a joke and should be closed down.
I am a hospice nurse and took care of one of these residents at the end of life. I was impressed with the good skin care he/she had been given. He/she (I'd rather not specify) was very thin but had no skin breakdown whatsoever! The family sang the praises of this facility also, saying that they'd always gotten good care @ Cambridge Place!
Cambridge Place is like home away from home. Excellent care, excellent service as well as excellent staff. My mother has been a resident there for numerous years. I would trust my life to them.
Our Mom has been at Cambridge for 4 years as of August. She has been treated with love and kindness and her needs been taken care of. We are able to talk to the staff about whatever we think is important for our Mom, and they respond quickly to what is needed. Mom has also enjoyed the staff around her and they speak to her often with a smile. We are so glad of our selection of Cambridge!
The staff and administrators work very hard to make sure all residents are well taken care of and that it's a comfortable place to be.
Worse place ever. Don't send your love ones there
This is a very very unprofessional place. The majority of the women caretakes are rude and have ugly, nasty attitudes even when you try to be as nice as you can. When there is problem with your family member you can here the joy and condescending tone in their voice every single time. These people get joy out of your misery. Plus items thats been left up front due to covid never find there way to your family member. Their a butch of ugly nasty thieves!!!
Called today. Phone rang 35 times. No answer!!! Concerned about moms care.
TERRIBLE. they didn't want to accept my grandma on Medicaid. They sure were willing to accept if her private insurance would pay for it. Friday afternoon had plans on bringing her to this place, then come Monday morning a VERY RUDE lady named Rosemary said she wasn't going to accept her if her Humana plan wasn't paying. No one knows what the hell they are doing around there and the own admissions didn't even know the Medicaid limits. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience with these IDIOTS!!!
This place should be closed by the State! My Mother was put in for rehab on a Thurday and given 7 days there, and they gave her 3 days of rehab, because they do nothing on Saturday and Sunday! And was never given a bath or even washed off! I had to have a police report done on a nurse Joy Suspended for abuse to my mother, and the Director of nursing told me that they where going to take care of it, so I told the officer as long as they was nothing wrong with my mother, and that they would take care if it and suspension was already done in which they just suspended her on her day off! REALLY!! Then the next day she was right back working with my Mother! And I told them no way, and they moved her to the other side! If I knew that they only did what they did? Or I would have pressed charges against the woman! These nursing homes need to be held responsible for any patient safety, and DO there job, and what they charge Thousands of dollars for! IF YOU LOVE AND CARE FOR YOUR FAMILY DON'T PUT THEM HERE!!! YOU WILL REGET IT! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM! THEY WILL SMILE AT YOU, AND LIE ABOUT ANYTHING THAT THEY DO! SHE IS WHERE I TRYED TO GET THEM TO SEND HER PAPERWORK FOR HER TO BE CLOSER FOR THERE FAMILY TO BE A PART OF THERE REHAB! CHECK WITH YOUR OMBUDSMEN BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR FAMILY, AND THAT IS THERE JOB TO HELP YOU, AND THERE RIGHTS WHILE THEY ARE IN A NURSING HOME! AGAIN THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!!!!
My Mom was placed in Cambridge Place Nursing Home November 2015. I am physically disabled in a Motorized Wheelchair myself due to Muscular Dystrophy. I was cussed out by 3 different Staff Members because they kept parking in the Handicapped Parking Zones and became angry at me for needing a place to park and for blocking me in when I needed to leave after visiting with Mom. I contacted the Ombudsman and she had to have several of the Staff Vehicles towed for continually parking in the Handicapped Zones and parking spots. The Administrator never addressed the issue and started telling me to find another nursing home for Mom....which we did. If you put a loved one there, good luck....especially if you (or another family member/friend) has a physical disability. I wish there were negative "Stars" I could hit on here because I would rate this excuse for a Nursing home -10. But 1 is the lowest I can rate them here.
