Reviews
for Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing
We went to see Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing, and we liked it. We toured for independent living. It would have been nicer if there had been a balcony or something, but I think it was very clean and they were very informative. I was disappointed that there was no balcony, but maybe that's a safety feature, so there's no way for the residents to go outside from their apartment. The staff members were very gracious and very nice. If we could afford it, it would have been a good choice.
Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing is an older place, but they keep it up. It is not real large, so I liked that. It's located in a more rural setting. It's kind of down in a valley, and it has trees around it. You can get out and walk around. They were very friendly. I liked the place. It was comfortable. It's not real fancy. It's reasonable. The manager of the place is Jim, and he has been there for years and years. He is just top-notch. The workers seem to be friendly as well.
Gave this place four years of my life. Would've left sooner if it didn't mean it'd be at the detriment of the residents. Only reason I'm leaving now is the second cutting of hours and only one caretaker per shift when there needs to be at least 2-3 for how many pager pings we get. I can't live on those hours because management is greedy. There's no reason why they can't afford us. Oh, and the best part? They did this before kids with summer jobs so it's harder to get back on your feet after your sudden loss of work.
We had a positive experience with the facility. The problem was my sister did not want to work with her doctors and passed away. We were very thankful for the after hours resident ambassador who checked her the last time she was found unconscious
Great Community, Staff is GREAT with care of the residents. They have long lasting Staff, anywhere between 1 to 32 years of commitment to the Residents and the Community.
wonderful place for my grandmother. she loves it here. staff is friendly and helpful!
The dining area is very nice but the food isn't very good. I think it's expensive for my mom but I also haven't compared it to other facilities. The fee had gone up substantially after her first year.
I help clients find assisted living in the area and I am always happy to connect them with Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing. The staff are so friendly, kind, and helpful and the other residents are always welcoming. Making the decision to move into assisted living is not easy but this community is worth checking out if you or your loved one need a supportive and caring environment.
Raised the rent this year and reduced service's to tenants.
Overall a great value and very friendly staff. Location is great. Facilities are dated but very clean. Food is good and the activities director is wonderful. Many members of the staff have been employed there for several years.
We toured the Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing. The grounds were well kept, with very good feelings. I mean when you went in it wasn't really dreary or anything like that. We did meet some residents, and they all seemed very happy. The staff was very good. You could tell they cared about the residents there. The room was excellent. It was clean. What they showed us was like a one-bedroom, which is more than enough that my sister would have needed, but then they showed us studios, which were very roomy and very nice.
What our family likes the most about Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing is that they have personal assistance available to the residents 24 hours a day. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
Overall they are all 5's. We are so glad you recommended this facility. We would never have found them. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help our family and our mom. They truly are wonderful. Our mom is now out of her apartment from 9am to 8pm doing activities all day. That is why we chose Celebration Villas so she can remain active. It has been great!
When mom went into Celebration Villa we had a meeting with them agreed on prices to be paid, and after she moved in it was a completely different story and price. Over all the place was nice. But she just could not afford what they wanted her to pay. She is now living with my sister and having issues with getting food for herself. And I want to try and help her find some resources.
I called a Place for Mom on Sunday. We did a virtual tour of three places. What made the Villa stand out was three meals a day, transportation to medical appointments and personal needs, activities daily, and medication admitted. We decided by Thursday because my sister was in rehab and had to leave by Saturday. They were going to put her a furnished unit but then. Said that residents offered items they were replacing. She moved into her studio apartment with a queen size bed, recliner, Tv and stand and a small table and two chairs. Way to do it, Villa.
Mind that I don't live there. They do a lot of special themes on Friday nights where people can drink and gather. They have places they take a group to different restaurants and areas of interest 2 or twice a week. I would recommend it.
I wished I could give 10 stars! The people that work here really care for their residents! I couldn't be more pleased! What a blessing this place and their staff are!
Staff & residents are friendly staff endeavors to provide lots of activitivities
My mother and father are both residents at CV, and they are happy and feel cared for. That's all I ask!
Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing was a very nice facility. It was just too big for me. The staff and the people I spoke to were great. It was just too spread out for me. The apartments were nice. They had a library, a fitness room, and a lot of community events. It was nice. It was just not for me.
I am with a local Home Health Agency- Amedisys and was in the other day to call bingo with the residents. We had a great time and everyone was super friendly and appreciative. Staff including activity director Julia were all very warm and welcoming!
Overall, I would rate Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing as an excellent facility. I also wanted to mention [name removed] who was absolutely wonderful and welcoming at a time when I was going through a lot of personal issues with my Mom.
I used to deliver FedEx packages here the staff are super friendly and welcoming
Gorgeous community.
Gorgeous facility with all of the amenities you can think of for the elderly community. Restaurant, courtyard, and every activity you can think of.
Wonderful staff
The food is so good and the charcuterie boards look a dream. Very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff are great, and it's one of the most reasonably priced places in the area even though it is a little bit older.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Where to start? My father was a resident there. After a short hospital visit, he went to a rehab facility. On November 25, 2022 it was decided by Celebration Villa (Atria) and the Rehab facility that my father should NOT return to Celebration. The issue I have (and the reason for this review) is that Celebration Villa NEVER included the family in the conversation or even informed the family of their decision. The family KNEW NOTHING OF THIS DECISION. They did, however, deposit my fathers rent payment of 2,395.00 for the month of December on December 2, 2022 KNOWING that he would not be returning. I paid his December rent with no knowledge that this decision had been made. When asked about a refund, they claimed that they could not refund the money because his belongings were still in his room. OF COURSE THEY WERE!!! THE FAMILY WAS NEVER TOLD THAT HE WAS NO LONGER LIVING THERE / NOT TO RETURN!!!! When asked why the family wasn't informed, Gay Boyce responded that the rehab facility was supposed to inform us. Why would a 3rd party have to inform us of Celebration's (Atria's) decision to end my fathers lease? They have nothing to do with that contract. The care was not bad but if you are concerned about your loved one's money (or your own), I would stay away. They are blatant crooks and they are counting on you to be stupid, uninformed and too busy to do your research about how they've broken KY's Landlord / tenant laws regarding evictions. Jim Gish did send me a very rude email regarding the return of money and how he would TRY to get me a PARTIAL refund. Please note that Jim Gish works in the Finance Department but somehow doesn't know anything about the lease or the monthly amount that will somehow be missing from the facilities monthly income based on units leased. Give me a break! Please find a place that won't steal from you or your loved one. Assisted living is expensive, as is. Having money stolen from an Elderly person (a Military Veteran AND a career Police Officer) is just a sin, plain and simple.
Dad has been here for about 2 months, as far as the facility goes, we have no complaints. The food and the care have been very good. We have a problem with money being stolen from his apartment on 3 different occasions. Atria is kind of blowing it off and they do not have security cameras. They said the best that we could do would be to put camera inside of his apartment. If you took the theft issues out, I would have zero problems, it has been great.
The surroundings of the facility are beautiful. Wooded area with lots of bird feeders, squirrels, deer, Turkey, etc. The front desk is always friendly. They call each resident by name and have genuine conversations with them. There are many various daily activities that reach all interests. There is frequently music playing in the lobby. It is very cozy and inviting. They provide field trips on a weekly basis to interesting places in our area. They offer transportation to dr appts and have planned days for grocery shopping and other necessary errands. They offer housekeeping once a week and the facility overall is very clean. The grounds are kept nice also so residents can walk around in their beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend them to others!
My loved one enjoys the activities. The value for the money is good. We picked this community because, it seemed like the perfect combination of of price, what was offered, and we were getting a fair amout for the money.
Very rude guy just answered the phone and got a attitude with me when I didn't immediately tell him the name i was looking for I was waiting for him to ask for the name instead he goes with an attitude um well I'm gonna Need a name... like wow i was giving you a second to pull up the names or whatever.. I was just wanting to see if my grandmother was there because I don't know where she is right now and my grandfather won't tell me just that the place started with an A. Hire better employees! 6:30 June 22nd.
I would never recommend this facility. We were working with them for a long time and right at the end when we needed to move my loved one they said they could not help us an pulled the plug, we were shocked. They were very disorganized and it was just overall a terrible experience.
The Atria Highland Crossing community is a great place, our loved one absolutely loves it there. They have so many different activities for the residents to take advantage of. On Wednesday nights they play cards games which is our loved ones favorite. They take the residents out on different outings and even to their doctors appointments which is great. They also get three meals a day and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families.
this community is great and fantastic. They have all kinds of activities and Thursday we are going out for dinner. There is always something going on there. They have poker games, keno, dice, happy hour and more there is always something going on. I would highly recommend this community for anyone and even if I was to recover and not need assistance I would still not leave. from the executive on down everyone is terrific
I have no complaints about Atria Highland Crossing at all. It is a very welcoming place, they have a lot of activities going on all the time and everyone is super friendly. They have an ambassador group when you first move in and they will take you around so you can get comfortable with things. You can be as busy as you want to be here and it is just a wonderful place. The grounds are absolutely breath taking. I would definitely recommend to others looking.
Rather not
This is everything it is set up to be and more. I am completely satisfied with my experience here. The staff and residents are friendly. I'm enjoying my time here. Games, bus trips, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from. Most of the meals are ok that they offer. It seems like the meat and fish portions are getting smaller that is served and I believe this is because of the cost of goods. They allow pets in the community, and everyone loves my dog.
This is the greatest place for my mom and dad they're safe and the people there are just so wonderful
The staff are all super friendly and our loved one seems to really enjoy their presence. The lady at the front desk is very nice and always greets us when we come to visit. The meals and dining service is great, and there are a ton of activities throughout the day. We were worried at first since our loved one is more shy and reserved bt they have a team of residents who are ambassadors that helped our loved one get meet new people and participate in the activities.
It's a scam. Everything they said they would do to get you in here. Nothing has happened for my loved one. They are supposed to clean weekly, they don't. The bedding is supposed to be changed weekly, it's not. The food is terrible. My loved one has to cook in his room or eat out because the food is so bad. You better know what questions to ask in the beginning. I am really disappointed in this whole place.
We chose Atria Highland Crossing because they are a pet friendly facility and also we just liked the overall setting. It is of the beaten path surrounded by trees and feels private, homey and residential. Mom has been very happy with how friendly the staff and residents are. I hear a lot of complaints about the food, they serve a lot of strange dishes, not your typical comfort foods. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.
I'm very happy here. They keep the community clean, and the people are friendly and always checking on the residents to make sure we are ok. They staff care about their jobs. The community have lots of activities for the residents to choose from.
My dad moved in and I would highly recommend this facility. They have different activities. My dad can go downstairs and eat in the kitchen hall. When it's warmer, they can go outside and eat. He can cook in his apartment if he wants. It is a nice place. The people there are nice. The staff members are nice. The lady that I talked to and the guy that we signed the last paper with were very, very helpful. I imagine the food is good because my dad ate it. The facility is homely and comfortable. The senior citizens that already lived there were nice and talked to my dad here and there. They have different activities. They post them on the door of their apartments every morning for new activities every day. My dad's got a kitchen, a refrigerator, and a stove. There are also trails outside.
Recently my parents moved into an Atria Highland Crossing apartment. This decision was the right choice. The staff is amazing and has a caring spirit. There are many daily activities to choose from including outings. Highly recommend this facility!!
Beautiful community
Right now, just looking at places for our Mom, so we do not have to rush into a decision. But, judging from the in-person tour, Atria Highland seems like a very well-kept & clean facility. The staff all seemed calm & competent. The Sales Director, Kristin Cain, took her time to show me all relevant parts of the complex & was very low pressure in her approach, which is always good. The facility is a bit off the beaten path at the top of a hill, but the surrounding countryside is quite peaceful. I noticed a good number of residents playing bingo in the activity room, so the community here seems inviting. I am not sure if my Mom wants to move to Northern Kentucky, but Atria right now is at the top of our list.
I toured several places before I chose this one. Highland Crossing felt so comfortable and every person I met with took time to answer all of my questions. They have great food and they drive you to any doctor appointment! It is a charming place.
