I took my golden retriever to visit the residents, and they loved her!
Nice and clean place
The facility was new and close to our house. Make sure you ask how they judge the care given.
The staff are very kind and helpful. Their memory care staff treat the patients with kindness and respect.
Beautiful facility with friendly staff
As a resident at Charter Senior Living, our mother has experienced exceptional care in a supportive and secure environment. The staff are dedicated, compassionate, and consistently go above and beyond to cater to the residents specific needs, providing a high quality of life despite their memory challenges. The facility is well-maintained, offers engaging activities tailored to dementia care, and fosters a warm community feel. We are so thankful for Charter and their staff.
Charter is a lovely facility.
Very nice!
First off let me say the staff that work the weekend of August 30th and the 31st 6am-6pm crew is very rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming to agency picking up shifts to help out with staffing. They place new employees or agency that has never been in the building IMMEDIATELY on the memory care side because the staff has a "set" side of the building they work and refuse to float to other areas. So, basically this staff believes they don't have to work memory care, "just put the new employees or agency over there" is the mentality. If a person calls out, they go to the person's house to get them, which is very distasteful. Nobody likes to go to any other areas to work even when short in staffing. So, not only do these specific people not want to go work anywhere else, they can't give new employees or agency coming in report on how to care for those on the memory care side or much about the residents, which is why regular staff should be training on both sides so when new employees or agency that has never been in the building can have someone knowledgeable of the day shift routine or flow of things. And people don't waste their time coming to pick up shifts and walking into a bunch of "I don't knows". The only person that was pleasant was the nurse on the memory care side who previously worked corrections before, even the other nurse on the easy side was smart mouthed and not very helpful. Stop posting shifts if none of your regular staff expects to work memory care or be split up for the sake of patient care and to help familiarize new comers to the facility areas and shift flow of things. This is why it will be hard to keep good staffing. Regular staff works all over, should be able to give report to incoming staff, should be able to go over a regular work day or flow of things to give agencies or new employees and idea of what things need to be done and times it's expected. The showers need to be properly split up on memory care side to ensure even workload. And memory care shifts need to be posted for more than what they have been. Pay agency and new employees for memory care shifts, and being hit with a bunch of "I don't knows". People will stay even with the kind of staff you have if it's worth it in most cases, your facility is on the low end of the pay scale, please change that because you need the staff, and agency people are way nicer.
Everything was clean neat lots of room staff very nice
Such a beautiful place and all the staff are very helpful 💗💗💗
Super friendly staff and a very clean facility!
Beautiful place and friendly staff! Our loved one seemed very happy there and well taken care of by the staff.
Everyone was kind and welcoming at Charter Senior Living in Hopkinsville KY. From Stephanie at the front desk, to Ashton and Kelly, my mother and I felt special and I knew that mom would be well cared for. What a beautiful place! (It’s nicer than mom’s own home 😉) Mom will sign on the dotted line next week and join the community there, and her kids will rest well knowing she’s happy in her new home. Can’t say enough! Thank you.
I absolutely enjoyed every moment there. The people are absolutely amazing angels and the food wasn't bad either. I hope you all would have me back on a more permanent basis.
My mom has been a resident there for over a year. The staff is so kind and the facilities are new and well kept. Lots of activities that she enjoys! She says if she can’t be at her home this is the place to be!
Every time that I come and visit it's always clean and smell good.Iam always meet by resident that I know. Its a good feeling when I walk in.
How wonderful when caregivers know the family and show that they care, when nurses observe and provide information to assist the family and when open lines of communication allow your family and your love one a secure, active environment to learn and to grow. Thank you for trying new techniques, schedules and plans that benefit all residents.
Very impressed. Everything was very clean. I visited during lunch. The waitresses were very polite, patient, & helpful.
I am truly grateful that my Grandaddy is there. The care & kindness I’ve seen is like no other. I was horrified at the thought, but once I walked in I realized that this is what he needed. He is happy, enjoying everyone & the food!
Great place.
One of the residents invited me to a Christmas tea put on by the activities director. There were 6 of us at our table. The conversation was interesting and lively. The director gave information about the custom of afternoon tea. They also had someone to take photos for the holiday. It was a bright holiday experience. Thank you Charter staff.
While conducting a signing, I was lucky enough to visit this community! The staff were so friendly and the residents were smiling. Beautiful location, inside and out!
Mom’s move to Charter Senior Living, off New Holt Road in Paducah, has been a positive experience for her and our family. The staff go out of their way to make sure the residents have a sense of belonging. A variety of daily activities are offered each day including opportunities for socialization and creativity. We have peace of mind knowing the health, safety, and wellbeing of the residents is a top concern of the caregivers.
Let me start off with the compliment. The facility is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff that I have may have been very friendly. However, I had dinner with my mother on December 2. It was a cheeseburger and some some fries. Not only was my food cold but everybody at the tables food was cold, including the lady that was having soup. this is not the first time I’ve had to complain about the dinner being in adequate.
Wonderful facility & staff
Staff was very kind.
Great place for my friends!
It’s very clean and friendly place to visit friends or family Ideal if a person needs help like that
Beautiful place everyone was kind and it's very clean!! Never seen an assisted living be this nice clean and helpful! This is a place I'd want my relatives at for sure
It is a great place for seniors. I would highly recommend it is your loved one has to go into a facility. Very caring staff.
My wife and I visited Charter and had lunch and a tour of the campus. The food was outstanding and both the staff and residents were very friendly. The residents told us that they are well cared for and love living at Charter. The facility is well designed for safety, privacy, and the ability to interact with others when you desire. My wife, a retired teacher, would give Charter an A plus. Jim and Donna Grief Paducah, KY
Very nice assisted living facility. My visit with my friend was a blessing that she was being well cared for.
Loved it there nice experience friendly folks
Pretty disappointing that no one has taken over the full-time job of activities with the memory care residents And no pictures provided like was promised when it was opened up as far as residents daily activities from what they do with the occasional person helping. The activity list that was sent to me the other day showed no activities for Karen for three or four days last week. I’ve expressed this several times and I’ve been told someone was in the process of being hired or was hired but haven’t seen them. Other than that, we are satisfied.
Very nice facility. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They seem to take good care of the residents.
Very friendly staff, and a beautiful facility
My wife and I were offered a cool drink on a hot day! The entire staff was friendly and kind. They were very attentive to my mother’s needs. And so compassionate in the way they approached my mother.
Beautiful new facilty.
Professional and friendly staff who take very good care of our sister Joan.
Beatiful place
This place is awesomely decorated and friendly. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The nurses were friendly. It feels like a very big and nice home.
Beautiful community! You can tell the staff love their job and care about the residents!
Beautiful facility and wonderful staff. Very welcoming and helpful. They go above and beyond to help my cousin feel at home. Everyone has been so very nice!
Staff is Kind and professional. Appreciate the care being given
Toured the building today with Ashton. A very impressive facility. Well laid out with many activities and opportunities for their residents.
Is a beautiful facility however, they do not offer bandaids, for small cuts or wounds. The Dr comes once a month, for me that’s just not right if someone has health issues. Phones and TV keeps going out as well. Friendly staff, gorgeous facility.
So, impressed. Friendly, professional and all a person could want in this time of their lives.
We are very pleased with this beautiful facility and the wonderful personal care my Mother receives here!
Callie and Shatoria were kind, knowledgeable and took the extra time to answer all our questions. They both went above and beyond. If they are an indication of the staffing and experience my mother will have here then I know she will be in great hands.
