Reviews
for Christian Health Center Hopkinsville
The RN's in the rehab 100 wing are wonderful. They're always there for you. They work too hard, always busy but never too busy to take the time and listen. The CNA's are great too but need more of them to be able to fulfill all the patient's needs. I can't say enough about the entire Activity group along with the many volunteers that help on each wonderful fun, entertaining activities they plan for each day! Hat's off to the Director and her assistant. They're always smiling and bringing joy to all. Just been here a week but what I've seen, I'm sure the nursing home sections are being well taken care of. I recommend this place for long term care for sure.
I went to Christian Care Communities of Hopkinsville. I like the rooms. I like the area. The people were very nice. It was very clean. I was impressed with that. I felt warm and very welcomed. They had a living room. Every room was sizable, adequate, and just fine. The dining area is huge, very nice, and clean.
Christian Care Communities of Hopkinsville was nice because it was individual buildings, but it was a lot more than what I needed, and bigger than what I needed. They just mainly walked me through the building, so I really don't know everything they had. You had to buy into them and I didn't have the money. They took me around and showed me the different buildings and stuff like that. The facility was nice, but it was pretty spread out. They had different things in different places and you had to walk from your apartment building. The staff was nice, but I think they could've showed me a lot more. It would have cost me 80 some thousand dollars to get moved in. You got to stay there a long time to retrieve your money back because they give you 76 percent back when you leave. You had to stay there quite a while to be worth it. Their buy-in program makes it kind of tough.
Very friendly and helpful employees.clean,I'm satisfied with their work
Peggy on the Orchid side 200 hall is a annoying person for a nurse on day shift, she follows techs around just constantly nagging them. The facility itself is fine but you have the rude old black tech on day shift that refuses to work any other section just because she's been there for however long on the Buttercup side. It's the staff, heck the shift key people are better than the regular staff attitude wise even though they try to stick agency with the hard sections. I know for a fact that if Peggy would mind her business and stop trying to micromanage techs who are clearly doing their jobs it would be fine. She just be ordering people around for no real reason, especially when nobody is even asking her anything. Techs get report so they know what has been done and what has not she needs to chill, she will be 1 of the reason agency won't return. This old miserable lady makes people's job harder than what it already is, she needs to stay in her lane unless being asked something seriously, that micromanaging mess is irritating, that's why I have never went back and I let other shift key pick up shifts just to prove what I am saying. Sometimes it's staff not the job or the residents, they're irking.
I really liked Christian Care Communities of Hopkinsville. My wife didn't like the size of the shower (it was somewhat small), and the fact that it only had a one-car garage and just a single drive. If you had two cars, you had to park one behind the other one in the garage, so that would've been a little bit aggravating getting in and out. I liked the fact that it only had a certain monthly payment that included our tax, insurance, maintenance, and utilities. That way, I pretty much knew how much I was going to have each month to pay. It was very clean. When someone moves out, they completely renovate the house, refurnish it, and update it before the next one moves in. It'll be all new. We looked at pretty much just the houses that were available. We didn't try the food, but they serve meals there.
That's their crash cart. A patient past away while they were trying to get it to work. There units have Med techs running them and giving insulin and running feeding pumps which is against the law. They dont have enough nurses. Their patient falls are very high. They have patients that pass away from not being checked on but they get away with it due to patients being a DNR. If you love your family members don't send them here. They must pay the State a lot of money to stay open.
One good review written in the last year for this place and it’s by the director of the nursing home. Staff is rude. Staff does not care. Patients aren’t taken care of. Visitation not allowed. I was told they could only visit through the window like a prisoner and you can’t hear them or have to go outside to visit for one hour. Doesn’t work when patient is too sick and hurts to bad to go sit outside and sit in a wheelchair. I contacted the state and they told the ombudsman they are now allowing a person to visit inside once a week by appointment only for one hour at a time. I tried to make an appointment and they still say I can only go and look through window or has to be a visit outside. She’s too sick to go outside and hurts too bad so I can’t see her. I’m sure this works in some cases but not all and what happens this winter when it’s so cold out. I can’t even see how bad the neglect is now because they are keeping the patients imprisoned. It’s as though they are being punished for getting old and losing all their freedoms. This is a horrible establishment. I would rate it one star if I could. And oddly enough their website still says visitations are allowed. This place should be shut down and most employees here should lose their jobs.
The BEST nursing home in Kentucky. The employees care deeply about the Elders they serve. The nursing home is clean and well kept, and the staff are friendly ang engaging. The management team is dedicated to the residents and families and are committed to making this the best possible choice for care in Hopkinsville and surrounding areas.
Highly do not recommend they abuse patients and still money saying it’s for the “patient care”, once confronted she got really defensive tries claiming the home health care facility the older man was transferred to was a “fake home health care” and we were not allowed to make accusations please do not come here !!!!
All right
Transition to Home wing needs serious help. It truly is a circus!!! I've witnessed residents falling, to a nurse yelling at the residents, to mishandling, being left all night in urine & feces & abuse!!!! The TTH wing is under staffed although the current Director of Nursing doesn't think so. To the DON: Residents are NOT being cared for!!!!!!! They sit on their phones, talk & don't do their jobs. Why do they not think people come to stay with their loved ones? *SMH* There is only a few caring nurses & cna's here. Unfortunately, we all know how nursing homes are & this is what you can expect. They have had lawsuits in the past (research & google). My daughter even described a CNA taking her own personal cell phone from her!!! Why??? During this time, new sofa & chairs placed in lobby while my mother was sleeping on a wore out mattress??? Shows exactly where their budget is!!!
This place is nothing but a circus the staff does not care or take care of the patients my dad was in there for rehab that lady didn't do nothing for him at all and lies after lies the night shift was the worst sitting on their phones or watching TV cutting up with each other they didn't want to do their jobs if they had took better care of my dad and helped him like they was suppose to had my dad would still be alive he passed away 11/23/2019 please don't put your loved ones in this place
A well-maintained campus for folks in their golden years.

Great job experience. Awesome staff.
Went to visit a friend that was there for rehab, nice facility, staff tried to be friendly and helpful.
So... I've only been in once. But I was not impressed. A tad disorganized and not the freshest looking place. But I suppose they are treating my Grandmother well and thats what counts.
