I toured Crescent Place Assisted Living. It was just exactly what my dad needed. It fits his personality. It's kind of more low-key. It's not in a busy area. It's easy to navigate inside there. It's just pretty simple. The places that they go to take the seniors or the residents, or the places that my dad likes to go like thrift stores and peddler's mall areas just seemed to fit my dad. The staff was easy to work with. My dad loved her. She was very warm and welcoming, and it was great. They had a library. They have a garden area outside, they have rocking chairs outside. They have an activity calendar for the month of going out places.
Acquaintance · October 2022 This is a small and caring community that gives personal attention to the residents. The staff are good. to work with The community is clean. The staff availability to the residents is outstanding.
There are three meals a day and snacks for the residents and there are choices for the residents to choose from for meals.
Bingo, devotionals, arts and crafts, entrainment, outings, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to participate in.
Unspecified · September 2022 I toured Crescent Place Assisted Living. It was very clean. They had a small kitchen, a small refrigerator, a little microwave, and a small sink in the room. They offer pretty much the same amenities, but they may have a few more things to offer than the first place. They had what the people call a puzzle room. There were elderly people in there playing, putting puzzles together, or working on puzzle books. It was a really nice and a very spacious room. There was a lot of interaction with the people that live there, which was good to see. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They had benches and chairs outside in a patio setting in a flower garden.
Most people were very friendly, others not so much.
Laundry often was not picked up, and/or returned. Same with trash. Cleaning was minimal.
Meals were not good. Too salty. Not enough salads, fruit & veggies.
Crescent Place Assisted Living was newer. They had a patio available for quite a few rooms, and I liked it. They have just about everything a person could expect to see. They had different types of rooms. They had a one-bedroom apartment, and it was nice. Everyone seemed nice.
My mother has been in Crescent Place for over a month now. It is very nice, clean and well kept. The staff is nice and appropriate. It has been good. My mother has a room, which is like an efficiency apartment. They have a variety of rooms here. They provide three hot meals a day, they have a TV room, they have activities, and they take them places on car rides and to different places if they want to go. It is nice. Crescent Place is also a little less expensive.
this place is amazing. my brother is going back with me this morning to make a deposit. thank you so much.
Unspecified · September 2018 My aunt lived at Crescent Place and it was an amazing experience for our family. The staff was so wonderful and made us feel like she was at home. The food and activities were great.
Her apartment was spacious with a large walk-in closet. At each meal she could choose from a menu what she wanted to eat.
Unspecified · September 2018 I had a miscommunication with Crescent Place because they didnt know I was coming, but the person there asked me to wait for a few minutes, was able to help me, and gave me a great tour. It wasn't exactly what we were looking for since its a little too far out. My mom's a little more high-functioning than what they offer at this time. The appearance of the place was dated. It kind of felt more like a nursing home, and my mother is not that level. The staff was very nice though. I just didn't get a great vibe there. It was on the higher-end of needing assisted living. It didn't have a spacious feeling and wasn't as inviting. It is even starting to have that nursing home odor.
Acquaintance · January 2018 My aunt lived at Crescent Place for several years and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the community and staff. They helped her remain independent while providing her the assistance she needed. She really enjoyed the food and activities. Most importantly she felt at home there. The staff was like family to her!
Acquaintance · January 2018 This is a beautiful assisted living facility, feels like you're walking into a 5 star hotel. The staff is very nice and definitely goes above and beyond. We've been in several places and the food was by far the best. Simply put a warm and welcoming place. Shelbyville is lucky to have a place like this.
Acquaintance · January 2016 We're very pleased with things at Crescent Place! It's clean, nice looking, and everyone is so nice! They provide a good level of care, and I also really like that you're able to bring in outside help if your needs advance past what they provide on-site.
My parents were very happy there. It is a beautiful facility and the food is very good. My dad raved about his meals to all his friends. The care gives personal attention and go out of their way to be helpful.
The staff is great, the food is delicious and the activity director is really nice at Crescent Place. There are arts and crafts, bingo and shopping and they go to plays.
Acquaintance · February 2014 They do a great job here, I'd give them top marks across the board. It is a nice looking, clean facility. The staff are all very friendly and caring, and the care and activities they provide to the residents are great. I can't think of any way they could improve!
Acquaintance · January 2014 They weren't equipped for her situation, both in terms of the diabetes and the onset of dementia. It wasn't nearly as nice as the place she's in now, and they didn't have the same support from the staff. The activities weren't as extensive, and there was certainly nothing specific for memory care.
My mom had been in Crescent Place Assisted Living for three months only. She was not happy when she was there because she would rather stay home. Also I was told that she needed a little more hands-on care rather than assisted living so I took her somewhere else. When she was there, however, she had her own room. It was a full-service room with her own little kitchen and bathroom. It is a really nice facility. It is close to me and it offers a lot of amenities. It is a great place to go for assisted living. The facility is very clean. It is pretty elegant and little bit higher scale than others. They also have great staff there. They also have many activities during the day, but by evening residents are just bored because they did not have much going on.
