My mother stayed at Glenridge Health Campus while receiving rehabilitation after surgery, and our family had an amazing experience. The facility is spotless and always smells wonderful, especially with the aroma of the homemade meals being prepared for the residents. The Memory Care Unit staff are truly angels who clearly have a passion for caring for the residents with kindness and compassion. A very special thank you to Marty, Kelly, Julia, Dana, Andy, Kelsey, Isabel, and all the incredible aides who helped care for my mom. Your dedication means more than words can express. I truly pray that when the time comes my mom needs Memory Care again, there will be a bed available for her at Glenridge because I would not feel comfortable sending her anywhere else. Glenridge Health Campus is truly AMAZING!

I was a resident at Glen Ridge for over 2 weeks after hip surgery. The staff were wonderful and helpful in every way. The therapists were great and helped me learn how to walk/move again. You can tell and sense when people care and the staff at Glen Ridge do!! The discharge planning from Kelly was phenomenal. She helped explain many aspects of insurance and ways to help!

Several members of our family have received care at Glen Ridge, including three of my aunts, and each experience has been a positive one. Most recently, my mother stayed there for rehabilitation, and we were once again very impressed. While she was there, she was able to participate in several fun activities, which really helped keep her spirits up and made her stay more enjoyable. The rehabilitation staff was encouraging, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping her regain strength and confidence. The nursing team was equally outstanding—kind, patient, and attentive, always making sure she felt acknowledged even during busy times. One thing that made an enormous difference for our family was the help Glen Ridge provided with scheduling and transporting her to doctor appointments outside the facility. Since both my wife and I work, they coordinated the appointments and took her to and from them, allowing us to meet her at the doctor’s office. This greatly reduced the amount of time we had to take off work and was truly a Godsend. Because of the care, support, and compassion shown by everyone at Glen Ridge, my mother made noticeable improvements both physically and emotionally. We are incredibly grateful, and Glen Ridge will always be our first choice if our family ever needs rehabilitation or skilled care again.

Nursing and management go above and beyond here! One of the only places I trust to take care of my family members.

The staff at Glen ridge health campus was very caring for my grandmother during her stay there and was so compassionate and caring. You can tell that everyone there really cares for what they do. Oh and the food was impeccable! Thank you all!

My 90-year-old mother-in-law was a patient at the Glen Ridge facility following a serious fall and stayed for rehabilitation. The nursing staff was wonderful—kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They were always there for her, and even when they were tending to another patient, they made sure to let her know they would be right with her, which gave her peace of mind. They also took the time to sit with her and talk when all she needed was a little company. Her rehab at Glen Ridge greatly improved her both mentally and physically and their compassion made a difficult time much easier for our family. We thank them so much for everything they did for her, and if we ever need care like this again, we will call Glen Ridge.

This rehab center is shockingly neglectful and highly unprofessional. Call lights are ignored for hours at a time, leaving residents helpless, uncomfortable, and unsafe. This is not an occasional issue — it is a consistent pattern of neglect. The aides are rude, careless, and appear completely untrained. Many of them do not seem to know what they are doing, and there is little to no urgency when residents need help. Basic care is treated as an inconvenience rather than a responsibility. The lack of compassion and professionalism is disturbing. What is absolutely unacceptable is being told that “family needs to take care of the resident.” That statement alone proves how broken this facility is. Families do not pay for rehab care so staff can pass their duties onto loved ones. This is a rehab center — not a place where neglect is excused and responsibility is avoided. Management clearly does not hold staff accountable, concerns are brushed off, and nothing improves even after repeated complaints. The overall environment is unsafe, unprofessional, and degrading to residents who deserve dignity and proper care. I strongly warn anyone considering this facility: do not place your loved one here. The neglect, incompetence, and lack of accountability are alarming, and no one should have to endure this level of mistreatment.

I agree with all of the commenters saying that staff don't respond when called for help. When I visited my Aunt for the first time, she was sitting in a puddle of urine soaking into the carpet. The next day, she told me they were even leaving her after helping her to the toilet. She would pull the emergency cord, but no one would come to help her. I also heard multiple people calling out for help from their rooms. Discharge was also a nightmare, and my Aunt has been without her medications for several days because they failed to call them all in. They initially even gave us discharge paperwork for the wrong patient! I waited hours to get even some of the right paperwork after that. They tried to push her out right away; but I did not want her to go the weekend without her medications, and she needed paperwork to be completed to be admitted into respite care. I then made two trips to the pharmacy and was told that they did not even have the orders. I returned to Glenn Ridge late that night, and they finally were able to get the orders over. Again, they tried to push her out and assured me the pharmacy would have all her medications before they closed. I went back there and was given one medication but was told others would have to be ordered. I went back to Glenn Ridge, and they finally agreed to give me medications to get us through Monday morning. I picked up some of her other medication on Monday but later discovered that another had never been called in at all. I was on the phone for hours with Glenn Ridge on Thursday before I was even able to get them to call it in around 7 that night. As a result, she has gone without the right medication for several days.

I do not recommend Glen Ridge. My mother has experienced repeated and significant delays in staff response to her call light when requesting assistance to use the restroom/basic needs. On multiple occasions, she waited two to four hours for assistance, and on one particularly concerning instance, her call light went unanswered from 1:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. These delays are unacceptable and compromise both patient dignity and basic standards of care. When these concerns were raised with the staff responsible for her care at those specific times, they were minimized and attributed to staffing being “busy,” without any acknowledgment of responsibility or plan to address the issue. Additionally, we requested bed rails for my mother and followed up daily for four days. We later learned that no work order had ever been entered for this request, despite repeated reminders. This lack of follow-through further demonstrates a breakdown in communication and accountability. The care my mother has received does not meet reasonable expectations for patient safety, dignity, or responsiveness. As a result, we have requested a transfer to another facility where her needs can be met with appropriate attention and compassion.

My experience with Glen Ridge at Trilogy Rehab in Louisville, KY was appalling. In a single day, a patient had to wait nearly two hours, multiple times, just to be taken to the bathroom after calling for assistance. This isn’t a minor inconvenience; it’s a basic dignity and care issue. Call lights went unanswered, staff were unresponsive, and the sense of urgency you’d expect in a rehab facility was nonexistent. No patient should be left waiting in discomfort or distress like this. The lack of compassion and accountability here is deeply troubling. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about timely, respectful care.

The phone is never answered. Don’t call trying to check on a loved one because you won’t be able to get anyone. However… my mom has made so much progress here. The therapists are really good at their jobs. As long as your loved one can use the phone on their own, it’s fine.

I have had several family members in this facility. Still recommend to friends, family, community.

Just can’t say what a pleasure it is to have Stacie Chandler at Glen Ridge. She has gone above & beyond to help me to help my mom at Glen Ridge. Her care shows in all she does & I’m thankful to say we have been on the receiving end of that. 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻

I can’t say enough good things about the nurses and therapists at Glen Ridge are not only skilled but genuinely compassionate — always taking time to answer our questions and ensure comfort and dignity. The therapy team is equally amazing. Their encouragement, consistency, and personalized care made a huge difference in the patients recovery and quality of life. It’s clear they truly care about the well-being of each resident. Highly recommend this facility to any family looking for exceptional care!

Glen ridge is an amazing facility with caring staff. Therapy services are too tier which is why so many people return years later when they need support again. The leadership team is cohesive and the floor staff truly care for the residents who live there 🩷

Glenridge is an amazing family oriented campus, that provides excellent care to their residents. I also appreciate their amazing staff.

Due to my profession I am in Glenn Ridge several times a month. They staff is friendly and very accommodating. Caroline and Hannah are always willing to assist in any way. The therapy dept is great and will tailor the needs to get people from rehab back to assisted living.

Unspecified · May 2025

I find the staff at Glen Ridge to be very kind and helpful. My aunt who resides there speaks highly of the food. Getting her setup to move in was seamless. I would recommend this facility to others without hesitation.

Unspecified · May 2025

I was there recently for knee replacement surgery. They are way short staffed! Too many of the aids, don't seem to be aware of how people with knee replacement need ice packs. One weekend the nurse had no aid to help out. Therapy was ok, therapist don't spend enough one on one time with patients. Never have the same nurse or aid. The only good experience was the food and Peaches who works in Therapy, she was very nice and helpful. Please hire more people to be on the floor and get new recliners for patients to sit in, the ones there are old and don't work well. The food was excellent, just need more choices if you don't want the daily specials.

Unspecified · April 2025

Therapy team is awesome! Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Food is fantastic. Lots of different options for each meal and something to eat for everyone. Campus looks and smells clean. Lots of fun activities offered. Bingo, Bunco, Happy Hour, etc.

Glenridge has been a huge help in caring for my mother who suffered from a stroke last July. The staff are caring & friendly & I believe they do their best to make her comfortable while ensuring she gets social activity with other residents. Overall I have found Glenridge to be accommodating & helpful during what has been a very stressful time.

Mom was recently admitted to the Glenridge center and the whole process was made smooth by the staff especially Caroline Hughes. Her help and guidance was excellent! We look forward to many good days ahead!

My grandmother was recently here at Glen Ridge and she had a wonderful experience. Rehab department was amazing. She loved the chef salads! The nursing staff and caregivers were very kind. Our family is creditably grateful for the care she received at Galen Ridge. I highly recommend Glen Ridge to anyone seeking dedicated rehab care for a loved one.

I absolutely love Glen Ridge!! It’s so much of a family environment. The staff, everyone on the staff, is truly caring, extremely knowledgeable & genuinely kind.

Unspecified · December 2024

My sister has intellectual disabilities and has lived in community assisted living most of her life. When she required more care that facility was unable to provide I was extremely upset that I had to put her in a skilled nursing facility. Glen Ridge has been a prayer answered. My sister is not only receiving quality care but she just about knows everyone and they know her. She is happy and so is her family. It’s obvious that the staff enjoy working there.

Unspecified · November 2024

If I can rate this place below one star I would. The patients beds do not get changed. The CNAS are very rude and inconsiderate. One of the patients was nearly falling off the bed and looks like he been laying there for days with no treatment. The nurses needs to understand there is more to being a nurse other than passing out meds. What happened to safety ? What happened to self care ? What happened to their mental state? You can not let a patient sit in a messy smelly room with no clean bed and the patient has not showered in a while! This is ABUSE and the place should definitely be investigated.

Unspecified · September 2024

Overall not a great place for my mom! Facility is old and run down. rooms were clean but showed wear and tear and are in need of a remodel. Staff at the floor level was nice and seemed to focus on care of my mom. Zero security and accountability. I came and went as I pleased with no one asking who I was or why I was there. I took my mom out for lunch and no one asked me what I was doing with her. Anybody could walk around the facility and do whatever as the staff is very busy. PT's and OT's seemed to be professional and effective. On the other hand communication was extremely poor at the director level. Left voicemails with zero call backs as well as my sister. When I arrived physically , I went to talk with the Executive director about the poor communication and he got very defensive and even angry that I was bringing this issue up. Made incorrect statements in an effort to cover the failures of his staff and shift the blame to me and my sister. Zero communication on what the criteria was for my mom to leave the facility. I had to make the decision on when it was the time for her to leave , which in my opinion is ridiculous and I am not a trained health care worker. I would think they were just trying to milk the insurance coverage.

My mother was treated terribly there. They lied about giving her prescribed medication, and were very disrespectful to her. There was one nice man there who was very kind. In the evenings. However most of the staff had no compassion for an elderly woman. She had to go back to the hospital from there and died a few weeks later. I feel so bad that I sent her there, thinking it would benefit her.

Unspecified · August 2024

I had a bad fall in May 2024. I broke my hip/femur and injured my thigh. I spent 5 days in the hospital and then transferred to a rehab facility. (Not Glenn Ridge) I chose a place convenient for my children to drop things off I may need. Unfortunately I chose the wrong place and did not received the care I needed. I called Glen Ridge to see what I needed to do to transfer to their facility. I spoke with a very nice lady. I told her since I had stayed there in 2013 & 2014 when I had my original hip replacements. Glen Ridge was such a nice place with good care and wanted to find out what I need to do to be transferred to their facility. She was extremely helpful and checked to see if they had a room available. She called back in a few minutes and said yes I could come and gave me instructions on how to transferred. I also needed transportation to their facility. She also scheduled the transportation. The next morning I got a call from Glen Ridge confirming my time to be ready for transport. A very nice gentleman, Marty, arrived promptly and was very patient while they hoisted me up into his wheelchair. He loaded me in the van along with my things. Off we headed! I was so excited and very relieved when we turned in parking lot and I seen the Glen Ridge Health Campus sign. I was taken to my room by one of the ladies that I spoke with while Marty unloaded my things and brought them to my room. During my stay I was treated with respect, care, patience, lots of smile and professional yet friendly staff. So many The food was great and the kitchen accommodated my food allergies. This gentleman from the kitchen (that oversees each patients needs) came in and checked several times during my stay to make sure the food was correct and if I had any issues. I told him I was very pleased and they had such a wide variety menu. I had so many nurses and aides that assisted me in my personal care and always asked “Do you need anything else” before they left my room. The cleaning staff was also very polite and quiet while cleaning my room. Sometimes I slept right through their visit. My physical therapist, Ann, and occupational therapist, Rachel, were very kind, caring, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about me. Each one of them asked if I had any questions or concerns and provided answers promptly. They showed me how to transfer from bed to wheelchair within the first two to three days. The therapy and technics they used worked so well with my very painful hip and leg. When I arrived at Glen Ridge I was in excruciating pain and severe muscle spasms. Within a week they were able to get my pain and spasms under control along with learning how to move and get around that was easy for my level of injury. A BIG Thank You to Glen Ridge, Marty and their many staff members that made my 7 week stay and recovery a success! If you or a loved one ever needs an in-patient rehab facility please give Glen Ridge Health Campus a try! A choice you will not regret. Sherry H.

My family was frantically looking for a place that would be safe and enjoyable for my mother. She had fallen 7 times in less than 3 months. We all divided up looking for a place and I walked into Glen ridge and met Caroline. The place looked so warm and inviting I felt like we would not be able to afford it. Caroline listened to me about what was needed and gave me all the answers. I called my sisters and said you have to come now! They were as happy as I was and we made the plan to get her here. She never wanted to leave her home but she now feels like Glen Ridge is her home. We are all very happy and thankful for the extension of our family! ❤️ Thank you for helping take care of my mom so she can keep her independence without getting hurt! 😄

Our mother, Mary B., was discharged yesterday after having spent three months in memory care rehab following a broken hip. The progress she made while in Glen Ridge was remarkable. The staff was attentive, patient, and caring and made sure all her needs were met. They joked with her and made her stay more fun. She loved the food (and the chef!). He even came off his break to tell her goodbye before she left. Our family is grateful for everyone and the care they gave.

My mother has been a resident at Glen Ridge several times for Rehabilitation, following some acute clinical events. She is now at her home and doing very well. All of the staff are so very caring and supportive - and were with each stay. She loved the food and the variety she could select from the menu. My brother and I both enjoyed meals with her and agree! They go the extra mile and made her feel special. Care and encouragement go a long way when mom needed more help than we could give her.

If you want your loved one that is bedridden to sit in their own feces and urine for well over 2 hours. Some of the AIDES that they have there are really nice but they have one that really need additional training. The area that was operated on ended up with an infection , had severe UTI. I just want to let the review readers know this prior to their decision.

Unspecified · February 2024

My 86 yr old mom arrived late last night. Grateful she slept ok, but when she called the nurse button early this morning, no one came. She has a fractured T6 vertebrae and coming off a bad UTI. She got herself to the wheelchair and scooted with her feet to the bathroom! NOT IMPRESSED! Later found out they were short-staffed! Get your chit together!

Unspecified · February 2024

Takes 40 minutes or more for staff to respond to nurse call light. Unable to receive evidence that patient's eating / sleeping / toileting was being monitored / documented. Family member became impacted - placed on stool softeners - not assisted to restroom timely (unable to walk) - placed in shower w/o a shower chair & was accidently allowed to slide to floor by staff. No x-ray taken after fall. A loose wall rail was then repaired in that restroom. Receiving info from staff about blood draws and x-rays was frustrating. Left in same position for long periods of time resulting in a bed sore. Depends were not changed timely and clothes often wet with urine or bowel movement.

Glen Ridge Health Campus was real close. It's just a half a mile away from where we live. It's a little bit older. They not only have assisted living, but they also have a rehab facility there. We were going to use that one actually. They had somebody on staff that spoke Spanish, but they weren't there all the time. The problem I had with them was that they weren't responsive. They were supposed to send somebody to interview my mother-in-law to verify the level of care that she needed. They said that they would wait closer to the time that she needed to stay there and nobody ever showed up. I called them, and this was like a week before we had to use it, and they said that they decided that maybe they weren't the best fit for my mother-in-law, that they didn't want to proceed any further, and that left us in a bind, because we had one week to try to find someplace else. I was really disappointed that they kind of backed off at the last minute. The staff seemed friendly. They all seemed nice, except the one lady that we were supposed to talk to went on vacation right when we had to do everything, and she's the one that decided it wasn't the best fit.

Unspecified · December 2023

Our experience while being discharged from this facility was one I will never forget. The disorganization, lack of information, and overall treatment we received while waiting for a transport from this facility was truly shocking. I do not suggest approaching anyone working a desk with questions, they are extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. Having a loved one in a facility like this is hard enough on its own, transporting a loved one from a facility to other care is also stressful. Having the added stress of staff being rude and uncaring during any of these transitional periods is just unacceptable. Being a decent human and treating people with respect isn’t too much to ask for, especially in this line of work.

My husband is at Glen Ridge Health Campus. We have been very pleased with them. I have even thought of moving over there myself. He's been there long enough now that he knows a lot of the residents, at least the ones in his area. His nurses, one in particular, have been very good with him because sometimes he needs quite a bit of care. I certainly cannot complain about Glen Ridge. They have met our needs, for sure. He's very happy with the meals. I'm very surprised at how many activities he has joined in. They have little activities in the afternoon, and I know they are having a concert today. I think the building is very clean. I've gone in a couple of times when his bed hasn't been made yet, but I guess things go on some days that make some things run a little bit late. The cleaning girl came in yesterday when I was over there, and she ran the vacuum, dusted the furniture, and cleaned the bathroom. They're very expensive, but they all are. And I guess compared to other places, they are comparable. They do go out shopping occasionally, and I know they have taken some of the residents out just for a ride around in the afternoon, particularly when the trees were all pretty before the leaves all fell off.

Unspecified · May 2023

My mother was in Glen Ridge Health Campus. It's nice, it doesn't smell or anything, and the staff was very nice. It has a little bit more of a nursing home vibe like the room is just a room, it's not an apartment. It has the same kind of rules as assisted living, being able to get out and get around somewhat, and being able to feed yourself, the same type of rules. The rooms looked more like a hospital room, but a little bit bigger, maybe with a little couch in there, but it wasn't a lot of space. They have community areas where you could go down and get some coffee and that kind of stuff. They're nice, it's just the other place was nicer, and the rehab portions were nice. The staff is kind and the place was clean, everybody there had been very kind, there was no dirt or trash or anything, and trash cans were emptied.

This is the worst place for care. I have a pelvic break. It takes over an hour to get the prescribed pain medication. All I hear is how they have no help. Do you think patients care about that? It doesn’t matter when you are severely hurting. Food was purposely left out of reach for me. The door was slammed hard when the nurse left. The call light does not and did not get answered. I wait and wait and wait in pain. I will ask for a transfer tomorrow. And I will tell anybody to not even think bout coming here.
