Reviews
for Harmony at Tucker Station
[date removed] the entire building had pipes burst and flooded the theater, dining rooms, and many of the apartments. There has been contractors there every day since. The movie theater is still not open. Half the time the meals are horrible and can't be eaten. After 2 yrs of being open they finally get the hair salon open one day a week. And now are letting the stylist go because they want her to pay for use of the salon. They have so many available apartments. They have never been able to get them all rented. House keeping is hit or miss. And the communication by the director is non existent.
They said all the right things but after seeing the issues in both handbook and lease agreement I had no faith that they would be able to adjust their policies to take care of my issues and reasons that were the most important needs for me I backed out. Costly error on my part. Now 6 months later got $[fee removed] statement with a highlighted sentence that not paid in 5 days I will get charged another $[fee removed]. Seven calls to business office over 6 days have not been answered. Called corporate yesterday to corporate office yesterday also unanswered. I’m completely out of any ideas on how to resolve this as I don’t believe I owe them anything or that any one’s calls are not being responded to. This an unacceptable way of doing business. It looks pretty. They say all the right things but be very very careful.
Promises made not followed up on. Several were the reason I was looking. Some items I found in handbook were opposite than I was told but was told not to worry about those things as they would be worked out. Same for lease agreement. Had the answer to everything but not as stated in the legal documents. A very costly error on my part as I fell for it all. Now I get a bill out of the blue with amount due but no explanation of charges. I’ve made 9 calls to try to speak to business office for explanation but no response. Called corporate yesterday and was never able to connect with anyone. Statement says if I did not pay in 5 days a fee of $250 would be added. I am ecstatic I didn’t move in but this coming 6 months after last communication with them is surprising in the least and their complete lack of any response for an explanation is so unprofessional. Pretty wrapping. Great sales pitch. Promise the moon. But I am not sure how anyone would be interested after reading this. Be very careful.
I would advise anyone considering moving their parents in Harmony, especially in their memory unit, not to do it unless you are able to go daily to check on them. My family member was there and was NOT taken care of. Her hair had not been washed for 2 months or more
Newer well kept up facility. Staff is shorthanded, but does a great job. Very friendly. Would highly recommend.
What they could improve on would be the food and with those improvements we would recommend Harmony at Tucker Station to other families.
This is not an easy process and my mom was unsure. She has found her new home to be very welcoming and the staff is very helpful. She is now glad she is there.
At first was a beautiful new place with lots of promised amenities and quite costly. However the weekly house keeping happens once a month. They can't keep a chef so the quality of food changes frequently. The movie theater was flooded back in early Dec so it has been closed since. The only thing good about this place is the initial core staff (4) that have been there since it opened. And someone from corporate came down in Dec. to inform residents there would still be a 4.5% raise in rent. So don't expect house cleaning or a movie theater.
The thing I liked the best about Harmony at Tucker Station was the fact that you just went in and out whenever you would, because other places we went to did not do that. They knew who was in the building at all times. It was very nice and it was brand new. The room that we picked out was very nice. They showed me a dining hall, which was beautiful. The rooms were also beautiful. They showed me a workout room and a little church place where you could start going to church on Sundays, which I thought was awesome, too. They have a little room where they could go and read books and work on computers and stuff like that, which they had free internet for that part. It was a very, very nice place, but as far as the service we got through them, I think Lacey led me on. She let it go on for a while before she told us that my relative wasn't accepted after I had turned down multiple other places. So as far as the place, it was very nice but as far as Lacey, I did not care for her. She was all nice in the beginning and I feel like she led us on and it gave me a very bad taste in my mouth for senior living.
My mother-in-law Doris has been a resident in the memory care wing for about two months. Harmony is an excellent facility and the staff had been wonderful to her. There are plenty of activities for the residents, they can be as involved as they want to be. The decision to place a loved one in a facility is a difficult one. My father-in-law, my wife and her sisters made an excellent choice with Harmony. I could go on and on but I will say this. Don't be discouraged with the negative reviews. Those reviews are not always accurate, check Harmony out and decide for yourself.
Wonderful place
My sister has been there for 3 weeks now, in a room all alone, with nothing but a TV. Another sister was told she had to leave because they had been notified that Doris cannot have visitors. So her daughters who placed her there do not visit nor can her 5 sisters who would if we were allowed. We now know there is a federal law that prohibits this. She sits in an old broken down recliner all alone, day in and day out. I am 85 years old and I have never heard or seen anything like this. There is no real reason she could not be at home. Now all of our phone numbers have been blocked so we cannot call her. She sits and cries all the time wanting to go home. When she calls her husband, who is in worse physical shape than she is, he refuses to answer her calls. So don't tell me how great they are. There is no place like home with family caring for you.
I toured Harmony at Tucker Station. It was very well laid out. The decor was beautiful and it was very clean. The people there seemed very nice and helpful. The staff was very professional and very friendly.
Beautiful facility. Great team working in administration and friendly staff! I would definitely move my family member here.
Lacey Newton took me on a tour of the campus. [name removed] was very professional, outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable. The campus is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly. I spoke with some of the residents and/or family members. They were all very pleased with the campus as well.
I stopped by for a visit. I noticed walking in a bright and clean environment. The staff was great and inviting. Lacey greeted me with a big warm smile. Everything thing was nice. Definitely worth checking out.
The decision to move my parents to a higher care facility was difficult. The staff has been very supportive of me and my parents through the transition. Any concerns that we have encountered have been quickly and kindly addressed.
Very impressed with Harmony's facility and staff. Lacy, Jennifer and Chris are all a pleasure to be around and I highly recommend giving them a look. The facility is new and fresh and there's many activities and amenities. Gary D.
Love this facility! Very welcoming! :) Go ask for Lacey, she's the best!!
Beautiful new community! The staff are very friendly and they go above and beyond to help their families. Every time I am there to visit clients the residents are all happy and really seem to enjoy it. Highly recommended to families looking for a senior living community.
Harmony has an amazing staff they are so helpful and caring. I would highly recommend this senior care facility to anyone who has an elderly parent. The only thing I would wish they had more food choices on their menu or an area with salads, sandwiches and snacks.
Took a tour and this facility is beautiful. My loved one will feel right at home here.
I am thrilled that my dad is in the care of Harmony at Tucker Station! My dad entered Harmony requiring the care of their Memory Care community. After 2.5 months, with managed medicine, PT and OT, and 3 fabulous meals a day, my father’s physical and mental health significantly improved! And Dad knows that he has improved. The meals are VERY GOOD. Just like going to a nice restaurant with fresh fruit appetizer, menus, and wait staff. I know many of the staff by name AND THEY KNOW ME and dad of course. They communicate with me when needed or asked. But they do not overwhelm me with the day to day care…they handle that. The staff, well put simply, are very special people. Their patience & support is unmeasurable it is so immense. The activities offered are super. The accommodations are stunning. I am 55 and I want to move in. I am thankful every day for still having my dad around. And I believe this is greatly due to the staff at Harmony at Tucker Station. Many…many Thanks!!!
We moved my grandfather across the country to be closer to family when his Alzheimer’s worsened and the Memory Care Unit at Harmony has been wonderful for him. The facilities are beautiful, clean and bright, and the staff goes out of their way to care for the residents. They serve them with a smile and treat them with kindness and respect. There is also a wonderful community within the families and residents of the Memory Care Unit, and it’s been an added support to our family. We are so grateful we chose Harmony for my grandfather!
Harmony has met all our expectations. From the tour to moving our loved one in was smooth. The Nurses and Caregivers are great. I can truly say that everything from care to food, more than meets our expectations.
When short staffed facility uses nurses from an agency. These nurses have no invested interest in the community. They also know that as long as they don't kill a resident, the worst that will happen to them is they won't be asked to return, thus allowing them to be very lazy in their patient care.
Fantastic community with excellent department heads!
