I have a brother there due to dementia for the last 5 years. I visit from 1 to 3 times each week. 5 years ago, my experience there was quite different than today. This is an old building with many challenges, 5 years ago the entire building stunk, was dirty and poorly ran. It was understaffed but did have core group of dedicated caring people. I have witnessed a significant improvement slowly in the past 5 years. Today the floors and walls are clean the smell is much ,much better. Daily activities are always keeping the morale and smiles a better experience for patients. My brother has not been an easy patient to serve. At times he has been a difficult patient. However, the staff has remained kind and compassionate. My observations of the care for other patients that never have any visits from friends or family, I have seen them treated like family by staff. I have gotten to know several of the staff members, and I see them go above and beyond expectations. There has been a remarkable transformation in the past 5 years.
Unspecified · February 2025 My mother-in-law is staying in Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation for long-term care. They do have rehab there, and occupational, and speech therapy. Most of the staff is outgoing and helpful. It looks like they have a lot of group activities going on when I visit. There's plenty of room to walk around her bed, and she's got her TV.

I have a brother there and everyone there has been very helpful and have even gone out of there way for him. We moved him from brent wood in Evansville and that was the best thing we could have done. I would recommend henderson nursing for anyone needing good care
Staff is inattentive and neglectful. Some of the managers are helpful. Most are manipulative, money hungry, and rude. The social worker is easily the worst person on the planet. Please don't send your loved one there.

The huge shaded outside area is so nice! They also have many long term staff that always greet me with a welcoming smile. I would highly recommend.

Unspecified · September 2019 I have visited this place many times. They are very clean and the residents always seem happy. They are constantly doing activities with the residents and making it a fun time. The staff really care about the residents and it shows.

Unspecified · January 2012 My mother has been a resident there for about 3 years. I have tried time and agan to get them to give her a bath. they say they cann't make her take a bath. They have even called me to get my wife to come up there and give her a bath. Both of us draw disablity checks from the goverment. We don't even have a car anymore. They use to call me when ever she got sick aor fell down or something. But they don't do that anymore either. I cann't afford to move her.
