Highlands Square

I would highly recommend Highlands Square for your loved one. The staff is great. They have lots of activities throughout the day. The place is clean. Their food is excellent. Lots of variety and GOOD. Management is very helpful. They have a little beauty shop for residents. I can go on and on.

Cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. All questions and concerns were addressed and explained completely. Our tour of the facility was thorough and leisurely with the different rooms and amenities discussed in detail. We’re very satisfied with our choice of Highlands Square.

Visited highland squares yesterday for a car show they were doing for the residents there. The faculty was friendly and courteous.Have went here for the last two years for this event and have enjoyed it especially the food that was served it was delicious.

My brothers and I live outside of Somerset/Pulaski County and we have been worried about Dad living alone for the last several months. We moved him in to Highlands and now we no longer have to worry about him. He is safe and secure at Highlands. He’s adjusting very well; and this time, when we left to go back home, we knew there were people taking care of him and ensuring he is well and happy. We are so grateful for the team at Highlands Square!

Robyn and her staff are so kind and caring and they truly care about the loved ones in their care while they are at the Highlands! They truly make you feel like family! 😊

I was impressed with this community. It was very clean and the staff is friendly. I toured and the residents appear to be very happy! The meals are very tasty and the desserts were very good. A great place for seniors to live!

Overall this is a wonderful facility that has provided great care for two of our family members. The staff is very caring and attentive. Our family members have voiced their approval. They have lots of opportunities to engage in activities with other residents and never complain about the food. It is s safe haven.

Our family feels blessed to have our family member live at the Highland Place! We never worry that she is not treated with love and respect. The meals provided are out of this world and the residents have choices. Staff are loving and provide excellent care. The Highland Place has lovely grounds for the residents to walk around safely. A wonderful place to call Home!

Went to an event hosted here recently and loved it!! Jerry Burgess the Illusionist was great. I have referred several people here and will continue to do so. Thank you Highlands staff for all you do.

I went to Highland Square. The person who took me on the tour was absolutely excellent. When I became short of breath, she said, "Let's sit down for a while." So we did. She got me water. We chatted and she gave me a chance to catch my breath and then she took me around. She showed me a one-bedroom. And then she showed me a studio. She was very good. The room was very nice. I really think my cat and I could do okay in there. The facility looked wonderful. It looked great. It was very clean. I saw a couple of other people doing maintenance work, and I was impressed. Having been a firefighter, I look for safety when I go places, it looked very, very safe.

We chose Highlands Square because of the cleanliness, everything appeared to be in good working order, appropriate staffing activities and protocols. Overall it is a very nice facility for a loved one.

The building and staff need some attention. Hopefully they will be able to make some changes. I toured the community because it was the only assisted living facility that had openings. I will continue to stay to on the list at the neighborhood.

They are very patient. They seem to have a good grasp of my mom's capabilities and shortfalls at this time in her life. It has been a good place for my mom.

Don’t waste your money! [name removed]moved my brother in and than pretty much said he was out of their care within a month. They took about [removed] off of us. She has no clue what she is doing. She is evil. I don’t recommend putting an animal in the family, and definitely not a human loved one. I never leave bad reviews but this place is horrible and should be considered a scam.

This place has went down hill in such a short time span. I visited about 6 months ago, everything seemed great, the food was good, the people were nice. I planned on signing this week and let me tell you, big change of plans for me! The residents looked miserable! What in the world changed so dramatic that this place went to a dump that quick!

All of the categories that are listed have contributed to the excellent experience our family has had and based on this experience we would recommend the Highlands Square community to other families.

I was so impressed with my tour at the Highlands. We are more than excited to move our family member in ASAP. I could not brag enough on the customer service. Every question was answered. It was such a relief to finally find a place with care that would feel like home. We are more than thankful.

I had the best tour at the Highlands with [name removed]. She fed me and my family lunch and answered all questions. This is a beautiful building with the sweetest people staffed. I plan to proceed in moving forward with my grandmother moving into the Highlands.

Highland Square was clean and modern. The staff was very knowledgeable and caring. It wasn't huge, so we liked the fact that they were limited to less than 50 residents or something. The food service was excellent. We were there when it was being prepared and served. The person who's in charge of people coming in and going out was very nice and knowledgeable. When some of the residents were out and about, the interaction with her that I observed was really nice. They have a salon and a community room where they do a game night. They have a shuttle service that goes into Somerset for shopping and things like that. They have pretty outdoor spaces, like sunrooms and a community garden. They have an outdoor activity for the residents as well.

Our experience was fine, but like most businesses, staffing is an issue. Not as bad as some facilities, but an occasional an issue. Research showed it to be a nice community, and most importantly, they had an opening.

I didn't see anything at Highland Square that I didn't like. Everything that I saw was clean. They were friendly. The rooms were perfect. It was great. If that was a choice, that would be a good place to pick. We went kind of early and they were eating lunch, but that's about all I saw. It was very quiet. Some people were in their rooms watching TV or reading. It was a very nice place and I was very pleased with it. The staff who assisted me was wonderful.

Took a tour to research for a place for my parents. Brittany was very kind and informative. I liked everything about the Highlands and feel like my parents would be very safe and taken care of there.

I’m waiting for my home to sell to move into Highland's Square. I have went several times to see what rooms are available. I am so excited to make Highlands my home. My doggie loves the Highlands too. He is just as excited as me.

I am amazed at how often the residents go out and about into the community at the highlands. They are taking trips shopping, to the movies, visiting different restaurants, etc. I am so thankful they keep my mom busy and going. There’s always an activity going on when I’m there and I love it!

This is a wonderful place. The lady that works the front desk named [name removed] is amazing. She is always sweet and always has an answer to my question. The activities director is the best! She throws big parties and is always take the residents on fun adventures.

I am so thankful this is the place my family chose for my dad. It truly feels like home to us. We love the environment. [name removed] has been amazing to work with this whole process! From the food, to the activities, everything is top-notch.

I visited Highlands Square this week and was amazed at the facility. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive to all the needs of their residents. Cree greeted me at the front desk and was so helpful. I can’t wait to visit again.

I’m so thankful that my grandpa has found such a beautiful place to call home. He loves the activities. He loves to go places with the activities director. She takes them out to eat and on shopping trips.

This place makes you feel like family. They are always pleasant. I have not had any bad experiences with the Highlands. [name removed] done such an amazing job at making mom feel comfortable with the move. We are so happy that she chose to move here.

I was invited to a meet and greet event. I was introduced to new employees at Highlands. The food was amazing!! I enjoyed walking around and touring the community. Everyone seemed so happy. I loved my experience!

This place is great. They have the best food that I have ever ate! I’m so thankful that we found he Highlands. I’m so thankful that my family is fortunate to live here. We love the staff and the other residents feel like family.

My loved one is currently a resident at Highlands Place and everything about his experience at this facility has been good so far. The facility is clean. The staff are nice and they are competent. The meals are good. They have activities available for the residents. Communication with the family is good, the facility maintains contact. I would recommend Highlands Place to family and friends.

Great community for my grandpa. We love the staff. The building feels like home not only to my grandpa but also to his family. Everyone knows everyone. You feel very welcome from the time that you come in until the time that you leave.

This is my favorite place for grandparents. The residents are so happy. They all seem to love it there!! They also do fun things with them. I enjoy visiting my grandpa and seeing all of his many friends.

My Dad always said he didn’t want to be a burden to me. He’s my greatest blessing and couldn’t be a burden, but he was motivated to move to assisted living so he could remain independent. And, independence he’s found! He has a more active social life than I do, his new friends and the great staff are always doing something fun and Dad couldn’t be happier!

I was not excited about the fact of moving to an assisted living facility. After moved in, I absolutely love it here. I am treated by family by both staff and residents. I love the food and I love the activities.
