Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I was very pleased with the attention and care that my husband received while at Lake Way. My family was grateful for the sincere compassion that the staff demonstrated during this difficult time.

Overall SATISFACTORY - EXCEPT, paying attention to the small details for the patients and their families. SPECIFICALLY, my mother was in the facility for short term rehabilitation. We were not able to get ANYONE to fix her TV so she could receive a cable signal and watch it for some reason? After repeated requests for almost a week, we simply moved her to in-home care, therapy. There were many other smaller issues such as repairing in-room beds for family to use, in room chairs that were in disrepair, for family to sit in, and special food/drink requests that were never fulfilled or if done, done in a very tardy manner. Younger staff were quite pleasant and driven. And empathetic. Many of the senior staff were curt, and forceful. Facility is clean overall albeit a bit warn. Permanent residents are wonderful people. They are the bright spot in our experience. Beware if you choose this facility that your personal comfort, follow-up on your concerns, needs, wants, and desires, are met. And above all realize attention to detail is simply lacking. Workers seem to be in a "routine" and do not like having to alter it. The typical "I just work here from 9-5 and that responsibility is NOT my job" attitude. Kicking the can down the road on issues important to a patient is not OK. Very evident that a senior leadership change is necessary to change the culture of Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to a more positive and proactive environment for the "customer."

I had to bring my mother up from Nashville, TN, and Lake Way has been a place that has taken great care of her. She loves being there, and the staff are all very helpful in communicating to loved ones about the care their family receives. We are grateful to have found Lake Way. This place has truly been a God-send.

Our family was very satisfied with the treatment my mother received at Lakeway. She could not walk at all when she entered and walked out 2 months later with her walker. The rehab was fantastic. My Mother was very content there. She stated the staff was very caring.

I really don't have anything bad I could say about this facility. Its not the best one around there, but it's definitely not a bad choice.

Place is nasty. People are hateful

My relative is currently at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation. It is good. They have good, skilled nurses. She's learning to walk again because she has been on her back for a long time. Everything I have to say is good for Lakeway.

Lake Way Nursing Rehab Center (2607 Main Street) had large rooms, and they were really elegant. They had a lovely dining area. They had activities like bingo and crafts. It was next to a golf course, and it was located in a nice place.
