I am a travel Radiologic technologist and I have been here many times for my job. The staff really seem to care for their residents and the staff are always ready to help me when I need it to get an exam done.

I have dealt with 10 different nursing home over the years. Some good experiences and some horrible experiences. Laurel Heights is the best ive seen! My chosen brother is in hospice here and they are very attentive and work so hard to understand him. The hell hole he came from in Lexington was awful but here they really treat him with dignity and respect. It is comforting to know he is cared for when we aren't here as well as when we are. He says it is so much better here.
My brother was there a few days before passing.The place is really clean secure and the staff were very helpful and caring.

Supposedly theres a policy no one under 18 is allowed in the building. It seems as if the policy is only enforced on certain kinds of people and by certain kinds of people.
I watch a young boy leave with his mother, while my sleeping 7 month old daughter was denied entry. Clearly a disgusting biased policy.
It also seems the 4 star rating comes from employees leaving reviews….

Me and my family had an awful experience. We drove for two hours to come see my grandmother so she could see her seven-month-old great granddaughter and was denied entry due to my daughter being under the age of 18. Soon after I watch the young boy and his mother leave the building. It was clear the policy was only being enforced upon certain groups of people.
It seems the 4 star rating comes from employees leaving reviews.
Unspecified · December 2021 This place is full of hypocritical staff and I wouldn’t advice anyone to put there family here. They are making a 90 year old woman come outside to see her great granddaughter which is only 7 months old by the way.

Not equipped for advanced COPD patients. On a plus note, the doctor is nice and they do keep their patients clean and try to find foods they will eat. But the respiratory therapist is only their 5 days a week and until 4 or 5 pm. The man in charge of admissions and discharges is a complete INCONSIDERATE, HORRIBLE JERK and does not care about patients from our experience.

Unspecified · October 2016 My friend has already moved to Laurel Heights. I do not know that much about it, but my first impression was very positive. The interaction I have with the staff is very positive. It is very clean and bright.
I found that at this facility the staff was excellent with there patients. The used all of the equipment to get the patients in and out of bed. They made sure they was dressed after breakfast. They had a check off list of everything that needed to be done for each resident. They answered call lights in a timely manner. All medicines were given at the appropriate times. They were gentle with the residents and caring. Some of the staff did not look at them as just residents they treated them like there own family which I found to be very touching. The staff came into the rooms every couple of hours to turn the residents and change them if they needed it. They did everything as though they should to ensure the appropriate care being provided to all of there residents. I would have to say that this is one of the most caring facilities around my area.
