Reviews
for Magnolia Springs Lexington
The staff at this facility are exceptional. They have such difficult jobs, but you can tell that they truly care about the residents.
When my parents divorced 10 years ago, I was really unsure what my mom’s later years would look like. I knew she would need a lot of care, but more importantly, she would need kindness. She has very high standards and isn’t always the easiest to please. When we went to Magnolia Springs, I had really high hopes that this would be the place based on the reviews online and the incredible amount of research I had done. There was one point during the tour when my mom was with another staff member, and I hugged [name removed], one of their coordinators, and started to cry because I knew that my mom would be OK here. Actually, I knew she would be more than OK—and this has proven to be true beyond my wildest hopes. My mom is no longer repeating herself in conversations, she is eating healthy, wonderful meals with wonderful people, and she is out doing activities I’ve never seen her do. It feels like I’m getting my mom back after her world became so small and the quality of her life had deteriorated.
We recently had to put my dad in memory care after a fall and broken hip. [name removed] and the staff at Magnolia Springs were so helpful and kind and walked us through every step of the process. The care he's receiving there is great and they really try to take as much stress off of the family as possible. I would highly recommend Magnolia Springs to anyone needing a place for themselves or their family member.
I am very happy at Magnolia Springs. My apartment is beautiful and comfortable. I have made many friends. The people that work and live here are very friendly. The food is good and if you do not like what if being served, they have a wonderful ala cart menu. The people that work here are super. We have lots of activities. Yesterday we took a bus ride thru a lot of horse country. It was spectacular. [name removed]
Great place. Great people.
The facility is well maintained and the staff is well equipped to handle any personality type they meet. The overall experience was a 4 because there was one of my father's childhood toys that was taken and never returned. It sat far back on a bookshelf and would not have just fallen off. The issue was not resolved.
The friendly staff and the how clean and nice facility is. The restaurant seems to be a very nice addition and my sister really likes the food. The amenities are nice the hair salon and nails and the therapy available
To know Magnolia Springs, you just need to get to know the staff. They are the heart of the place. We came to know them in a very short time after a life-changing emergency for my mom, they responded with service and compassion, making the transition as seamless as possible for her. The facility and services lessen the burden for her. While there are different facilities, this was the best one for her at this time in her life.
My mother was a resident of Magnolia Springs Lexington. The staff was good and friendly, kept track of her, and took good care of her. They served meals, and if you didn't like what they were serving, you could order something. The food was good. The common areas were good, and they kept them clean. I didn't have any major complaints.
After viewing several assisted living I came to Magnolia Springs. From day one, the staff here have been truly supportive. I had a total shoulder replacement right before coming here. The staff followed me through every step of my hospitalization and I continued my rehab here. The Therapists here are professional and knowledgeable. The care staff are very attentive. The meals delicious and the activities fun . I have made many new friends. All in all, my time here has been very enjoyable. Thank you, [name removed] . .
I came to Magnolia Springs because I had a total left shoulder replacement and needed rehab and care during my recuperation. The staff here have followed me throughout my surgery and every step of my recovery. I also have MS and my left hand and arm and leg are weak. I fall often. I needed assistance with several ADL’s . I cannot clean my home or cook meals. Here I get all the care I require along with delicious meals and fun activities and socializing. I have many new friends. The rehab for my shoulder has been difficult for me. The therapists here are professional and have helped me along to achieve as much range of motion as possible. I could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend Magnolia Springs to anyone in need of care. The entire staff, from maintenance and housekeeping to the caregivers are attentive to all your needs. I give it an A+++.
I’m not sure you can find a better experience for your parents! Ours have been here for almost three years. The culinary department is magnificent; the social experiences are nice; and the combination of AL along with Memory Care is wonderful. Magnolia Springs has helped us navigate a difficult part of life’s journey and we are so grateful.
Magnolia Springs Lexington has been the place my mother has called home for more than six years. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the amenities Magnolia offers has everything she needs. I love seeing all of the activities that she takes advantage of and the residents are friendly and inviting.
Magnolia Springs is a great beautiful place with different room options. They are pet friendly, have great dining options, a happy hour, like music occasionally, and friendly neighbors. Plenty of activities, and a caring staff!
I searched for a long while for an affordable place for my grandparents to move to. Magnolia Springs has been a wonderful addition to our family. Most of the staff know me by name and are always extremely welcoming every time I visit. My grandparents have settled in nicely and the entire care staff has been such a benefit to our assisted living journey. [names removed] as well as the rest of the executive staff are always available to answer my questions and help me with anything that I need to help my grandparents. I am so glad that my grandparents are happy and the we chose magnolia springs!
I like the people who work here and I like the people who live here at Magnolia Springs. I like the food and choices I have to make. I also enjoy the outings and entertainment here at the community. Everyone loves it here.
The staff was extremely helpful in placing family member where they needed to be for assistance. I wish they had initiated communication with the family more but they responded in a timely manner to my contacts or meeting requests. They were instrumental in helping get family member into residence on short notice. The facility is lovely and has available many things to make living there less stressful to resident. The front desk concierge was always nice and helpful. The food is excellent. I have been very satisfied with the help and information during a very difficult situation. As my family transitions from assisted living to memory care, everyone has been cooperative in an effort to make things go smoothly
My wife was enrolled in memory care and, fortunately, Magnolia Springs had available a two bedroom apartment in with I could live with her. Magnolia Springs and our apartment meet our needs perfectly. The leadership understands fully their mission to provide top level care for all residents and do a splendid job of ensuring delivery. We find the food very good with a broad range of options and the servers delightful - each remembering our names and our meal preferences. The care givers understand well their role and my wife is given top-notch care to meet her needs. The leadership, staff, and caregivers are friendly and help make us feel at home.
The facility itself is a wonderful place and the Staff and Employees are much above expectations! They are compassionate, kind, friendly and helpful, and very concerned about their Residents. They work hard in whatever role they serve to ensure the Residents are safe, comfortable, well fed, and entertained. I highly recommend Magnolia Springs Lexington as A Great Place for Mom.
As a physician with over 25 years of clinical experience, I have seen firsthand the profound impact that quality memory care can have on residents and their families. Magnolia Springs is an exceptional facility and sets the standard that other memory care centers should aspire to meet. They truly raise the bar.
My family toured Magnolia Springs and it is by far the best memory care in town. I am on their waitlist. I liked the meal choices, flexibility to go to both sides of the community, and activities offered.
Magnolia Springs was a good assisted living apartment community for my Mom. Overall we would give them a 5, but at the end, when Mom was failing fast they did not have the higher level of Care she needed. That is why we moved her into hospital based, hospice care. Yes, we would recommend Magnolia Springs to other families, as long as they need Assisted Living.
Magnolia Springs is a wonderful place!
It was a very nice visit.
The staff at Magnolia Springs goes above and beyond to create a wonderful, safe and meaningful community for their residents.
No problem with visiting my friends
They have staffing problems. [name removed] tries to respond..in a good way. However, based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
I visit my mother a few times each week and almost every time I sign in I am greeted by Linda White. She is always kind and thoughtful and will stop what she is doing to greet me with a smile and say hello. She is the only staff at Magnolia that consistently says hello and that is very much appreciated. -Brian
Everyone is so very helpful. Everyone is always smiling. Everyone goes above and beyond to help each other and the residents. The entire building is clean
Wonderful, caring employees- so helpful! Beautiful facility!
Wonderful, hospitable staff. Everyone is so nice and congenital.
The staff in the memory care are top notch. Thank you for your kindness!
The staff is always friendly and helpful.
In my experience, senior care is a complicated universe. All things considered, Magnolia Springs is an exceptional choice. The facility, staff, and atmosphere are very cheerful and accommodating. Staffing in this industry is very challenging, but I truly believed that the vast majority of folks interacting with my parents truly CARED about them - and that is not easy to find. Even when my parent's were struggling with their health, I knew that they were in good hands and they were happy there.
I moved my wife into the memory care unit at Magnolia Springs after things didn’t work out at another community. Magnolia Springs welcomed her with open arms and has done a wonderful job caring for her. It is wonderful to see her snuggle up to one of the caregivers when it is time for me to leave. They really seem to understand what their clients are going through and how to help.
Very welcoming staff. Move in was seamless and staff made sure everyone was comfortable with all aspects of the move. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.
We are grateful to have our Mom at a community that truly cares about their residents and families. Mom just returned after a 2 1/2 month stay at a rehab facility. Lois and Tiffany were in constant contact and made multiple visits to offer assistance and support. Upon Mom’s return to Magnolia Springs, the staff were eager to help with the transition and increased care needs. We appreciate your compassion, kindness and concern!
Nurse visiting a Memory Care pt. Good experience! Staff very helpful!
Every staff member I have had contact with has been friendly and welcoming
While reading through the many reviews, a question came to mind, how can anything be so "Perfect" when dealing with people, healthcare and aging? Having been raised in a family that devoted their lives to healthcare, I learned early that while you strive for the best as humans we all fall short. When human frailties can't be acknowledged it appears that an organization is unable or unwilling. Yes, the building is breathtakingly beautiful, except for when there is no hot water for several days. The luxury of the place is obvious the minute you drive up until house keeping doesn't clean your loved one's room for several days or their Renal failure diet is not observed. Then you realize all that glitters is not gold. Every place has issues but when there are issues at Magnolia Springs the issues are not acknowledged and they get muddled, becoming personal. Instead of healthy respectful discussion, the hallmarks of good leadership, dismissive and avoidant attitudes prevail.
We placed my great grandmother at Magnolia Springs around June of this year. She had been at a previous senior Living facility in the Lexington area that was nothing short of a nightmare for her and our family. Once moving to magnolia springs my Great grandmother truly did a total turn around from her health, demeanor, appearance and overall value of life! Our Family could not be more thankful for Magnolia Springs all the caregivers that truly care for your loved ones, it is very hard on a family to make that transition to begin with, but at magnolia springs you and your loved one will truly feel at home. I want to say thank you to the entire Magnolia springs family for loving my great grandmother like their own, thank you to [name removed] the director she is phenomenal, and all those that continue to creat a culture of love to every resident.
From the moment I walked in, I knew Magnolia Springs was a special place. I was greeted by friendly, and professional staff immediately. From the professional care, the impressive culinary department, to the fun activities staff, I have been nothing but impressed.
My mother has been a resident of Magnolia Springs for over 4 years. It has been a great experience for her. The staff is caring and has been a like a second family to her. She enjoys bingo and the food. I would highly recommend Magnolia Springs to anyone looking for a safe a caring atmosphere for their loved one.
Magnolia Springs has been so great to my parents. From the day we walked in we have been blown away by the level of care they have received. It’s not just meeting there physical needs, but it’s the love that they are shown by the staff. We have been so incredibly happy!
This community is over the top! After taking a tour here, I can honestly say I’m very impressed! So many interactive activities available for residents! The staff is top notch! Everyone is very personable and knowledgeable! Not to mention it felt like I was visiting a 5 star hotel rather than a senior living facility! I would be very happy to have any member of my family to stay at such a wonderful place like Magnolia Springs!
I have had the opportunity to tour Magnolia Springs a while back and really loved the community. My mom ended up staying out of state but if I had to chose a community in Lexington, it would be Magnolia Springs.
They are responsive and take responsibility. The staff truly seems to care..they don't fake it like at her previous residence. They do have problems with hearing aids (both charging and putting them in correctly) There are some problems with drug administration when anything comes in that they didn't order. She has been in 3 facilities in Lexington, and this is the best out of those 3. I would recommend Magnolia Springs to others.
A loved one lives here and is well cared for. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful place. My folks love it.
Staff was very nice and helpful
