Reviews
for Magnolia Springs East Louisville
My Mother has lived here for going on a year now amd when I visit the staff is always friendly, accommodating, and professional ... Mom loves it ... great place 👌
What I like the most about Magnolia Springs is the clarity in the services they can and can't offer. For example, they can handle a single person assist, but not a 2-person assist. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families.
Both front desk ladies Ann and Barbara were SUPER!!! My friend loves it there!
It is so much better than my previous top two. It. Seems like I would like to hug Almost everyone. Probably the dining is # 1. It seems that everyone wants to help you . I visited many homes, but this place seems to be far better. I think the workers are trained to treat us so well. Even my health is better. That is amazing for my being 92. I think God every day for being here. They have asked me to lead a Bible study for the Memory Care section! And the residents there appreciate me so much! No one else ever visits them.
My grandfather moved in almost a year ago and we have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the facility and staff. They host wonderful events for the family and friends of residents and the food is always delicious! Everyone here is so joyful and fun and the residents are so happy. Couldn’t imagine my grandfather living anywhere else!
Mom was only there for [date removed] before I moved her out. *Carpet and upholstered furniture had brown stains and smelled like urine *Staff was agency and the majority of them could not speak English *Went to [name removed] and [name removed] several times over issues and the response I received was, sorry you feel that way. *Meals were less than appealing and what I tasted was unacceptable. *Mom was 8 out 10 times dressed in someone else's clothing, (I had moms name ironed in her clothing) or dresses with stuff on backwards. also had other people glasses on. I could go on and on about my feelings and my disappointment but I'm only listing facts. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THAT FACILITY.
Memory Way care has declined over the last year to year and a half. Staffing has been a huge issue. They have had to use Agency staffing for a while. They might be rectifying the staffing situation. I have no idea. Several times, I have come and there has only been 1 staff member on Memory Way with 20 residents. Personal care is hit or miss. I come to visit and her hair is not brushed, her teeth and dentures have not beenbrushed, and her face has not been washed. There should be a constant activity schedule that is "followed" every single day, but it is not. Things go missing and they are not looked for and/or family has not been notified. Three things were missing today: prescription glasses that have been missing for 3 weeks now, upper dentures (no other upper teeth), and a pair of tennis shoes. This is the 2nd pair of glasses that have gone missing inabout 8 months. I have turned the room upside down looking for them.
Warm welcome and beautiful environment
I toured Magnolia Springs East recently with Amy, the Sales Director. It is a beautiful community! The residents were active during my visit doing a painting activity. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to welcome me. The menu looked delicious and had many great options on it. I would recommend touring this lovely community.
Clean, smelled good and my relative is HAPPY!!
The staff is amazing and friendly. The premises are clean and beautiful! My father is loving his new life. He said he would never leave his home, but is so happy he did make this move.
The Magnolia staff is incredible. They are so accommodating.
Helpful staff! Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but overall this seems to be a good place
When we started looking to move my in-laws to Louisville, this was the closest community and the parents of a friend of mine who lived here, where very happy so, we thought we'd check it out. So glad we did because immediately walking in, it felt very homey and beautiful! Everyone we spoke to was very warm and friendly, something really important to us. My father-in-law has been living there now for a few weeks and we couldn't be happier! With my mother-in-law's passing right before moving in, the staff has been so helpful with helping him through this tough time. They truly take the time to personally get to know the people living there as well as the families. There are a lot of fun activities available throughout the week, I love the 50's hangout room with pool table, the movie theatre room with reclining chairs and chair volleyball. And the food is delicious, we've eaten there several times! I would highly recommend Magnolia Springs East Louisville!
Because my mother was having a very difficult time assimilating, and in general the facility encourages family members to not be in contact for the first week to two weeks, I really don't know anything about the staff. The memory care director, [name removed], did seem very competent, caring, and provided me with feedback especially when my mom had a good day or a good moment. I was not privy to any of my mom's meals, so I don't know about the food quality. No real suggestions for improvement. Although our situation was very disturbing I do feel it was unique. If a guest is refusing to get up, I would recommend that the staff not allow them to remain in a urine soaked bed and you're in soaked pull-ups for multiple hours. In spite of our experience, I do believe it is a quality facility and I would recommend it. If someone has a loved one who is an extreme exit seeker, it could initially be a real problem And they should inquire about that up front.
I am a home health aide so I don't have much interaction with the employees of the facility.I really like the facility though.
I have an uncle who at Magnolia Springs East in July 2021. First it aunt and uncle and we lost my aunt July 2023. The moved her to memory care in May before she past. It was fast but she was happy. Magnolia Springs East has a wonderful friendly staff that has always made me feel welcome and I know that my family members are in a wonderful safe place. The staff at front desk, waitress in dining room , chef's are amazing. Everyone is wonderful and always greets you in the hallways, elevator etc. This is now JAN 2024 and I am so glad my uncle is at Magnolia Springs East. My family is happy and enjoys being at Magnolia Springs East
Very clean nice maintained place.
Great care for a dear family member
I think this place is wonderful because everyone is so friendly and nice. It feels like home from the beginning. They have a lot to offer like a beautiful activities team, meals that are wonderful, and people that treat you like family and listen to you. I feel safe here and love it.
It was pleasure meeting the staff and residents. We toured the facility had a wonderful meal and met many of the current happy residents of the facility. With all the inclusions, It seemed so wonderful, almost like cruise ship without leaving the facility. Was visiting with my father but have already decided I would like living here when I am ready to down size.
Excellent atmosphere and staff
Every one is so helpful and kind! I have been quarantined for COVID, and they bring my meals to me. All the workers are so helpful. The food is good! Great decision to live here!!!!
My 94 year old Mother went to Magnolia Springs recently for respite care after a hospital stay. Even though she was only there for recuperation they were so accommodating. The facility is immaculate, comfortable and so well decorated. The amenities and activities are too numerous to mention in this review. Most importantly, everyone on staff truly cares about the residents and pays attention to every detail. Mom came home, but when the time comes for additional care, this is the only place she would go.
We toured Magnolia Springs East during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. This facility was beautiful! The cleanliness, friendliness and staff were all great. This place is like a resort! Unfortunately, it was at a higher price point than we were comfortable with so we went with a different facility.
My mother came to Magnolia Springs in 2021 to a studio apartment. My sister and I immediately felt kindness and caring for my mother. As expected there was a transition time for her. She began calling Magnolia Springs her home and told me she felt safe and thankful to be here. My mother's condition has progressed and she needed to move to a memory care unit recently. We visited the unit at Magnolia Springs and it seemed like a natural progression. We met a caregiver whose grandmother had been a resident on the care unit years ago. She told us that she came there to work because she was so impressed how her grandmother had been treated. My sister and I feel blessed to have our mother at Magnolia Springs.
I am in the process of trying to find a home for my mother. We have been exploring places for when the time comes to move her in to an assisted living facility. We looked at many places from Louisville to Carrollton. By far, Magnolia Springs is the place I would want my mom to be. The facility is beautiful and they are constantly working to improve. The director and the nurse spent several hours with us giving us a tour and answering our questions. We were able to talk to the chef's staff and even see them doing cooking demonstrations. The housekeeping staff was friendly and the place was immaculate. We had several residents talk to us and tell us how much they loved the place. It was by far the best visit we had.
Could not ask for better or more professional help than I received from your Director of Community Relations. My parents were considering moving here from Missouri, and she helped me with pricing and unit sizes and lots of other good information. She was so kind and caring.
After a poor experience with respite care at another facility, our family began researching places that offered both memory care and assisted living so our parents could be in the same place. We now realized that “memory care” did not necessarily mean a facility had an actual program designed and implemented to actively engage dementia patients. In fact we weren’t even sure such a thing existed, but it does at Magnolia Springs East. We were extremely impressed by their program and by the fact that they not only had adequate staff, but also staff who were specifically trained in this program. The commitment to preserving the dignity of their dementia patients and eliminating the frustration and anxiety that can accompany the disease was obvious. Not all Memory Care is created equal, but there is at least one place dedicated to helping the last chapters be as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.
Beautiful and clean friendly
I literately worked with [name removed] for years until we determined the time was right for Mom to make the make the move to assisted living. She was unfailing cheerful and supportive but not pushy. When Mom was ready we evaluated several places and Magnolia was the clear stand out. Their caring long term staff met with mom and genuinely listened to her and shared all the facility had to offer. She felt welcomed from day one. Plus, she really likes her room. They took the time to get to know her and pared her with people of similar interests in the dining room. (Food is great btw). So it was easy for her to make friends. She enjoys the outings and take her to all her doctors appointments. She’s happier than she’s been in years and I am so relieved!
Had a lovely visit with my mother. The staff was over the top with attentiveness and much appreciated
Staff always friendly and helpful. Enjoy visiting every time.
Has been a wonderful move for mom! We have met all the staff. The Dept heads have all done what they have said they would do. Have not seen one frown or been denied anything in regards to mom’s care. Sorry I didn’t find Magnolia Springs 3 years ago.
Magnolia Springs is not only my home away from home but where I get to spend my days working alongside my second family. There’s truly no better place to work and from the residents’ standpoint no better place to live!
Magnolia Springs East is such a warm and friendly place! It is a wonderful place with wonderful people!
Beautiful community with loving staff!
Magnolia Springs East is an exceptional senior community! The residents are living their best lives everyday! Why do you ask? Beautiful maintenance free community, an abundance of activities, exercise classes, great food, and amazing staff! As an employee myself, it is my home away from home! It’s not a job if you love it!
Bes please ever
Magnolia Springs East, Salute for all the workers! Everyone is so nice and very accommodating from Facility staff, kitchen staff and server.. Highly recommended.
my parent has lived at magnolia springs east for over six years. We have had a good experience and we have seen no reason to leave. MSE has good apartments, food and a friendly staff. My parent has some special needs which are well attended to by the staff
I recently toured this community With Sue Winking and it was beautiful. Everyone I met seemed happy to be there and genuinely cared about the residents. It's a place I will be comfortable placing clients in the future. Jason Assisted Living Locators Louisville
I love visiting my friend there. It is always clean and fresh. I ate lunch with her before covid and the food was great. The people working there are always helpful and friendly. I recommend this place to any one that needs assisted living.
We are just starting to look at Assisted Living facilities knowing that one or both parents will eventually need more care than we can provide them at home. [Name removed] and other staff we met with were very helpful answering our questions and showing us Magnolia Springs. The facility was very nice and all of the staff we met were very friendly and appeared to care a great deal about the residents.
We were given a great tour and treated us to a very nice lunch prepared by the MS East Chef. Magnolia Springs East seems to be a very welcoming and warm place, and I would have no hesitation at all to place my 97 year-old mother there. Spacious apartments with lots of closet space. And it looks like they are constantly improving/redecorating public spaces for the residents.
I am very impressed with the memory care section of Magnolia Springs. The facility was clean, hallways are wide and very open. The residents sure looked like they were having a good time! I am seriously considering the location for my elderly mother. If I were ready for assisted living, this is probably where I would choose to live.
[name removed] was positive, knowledgeable and helpful. Residents are all known by staff and seem very happy at magnolia springs. Food was excellent - homemade! Facilities spotless. Friendly and happy. Central location.
Went to the Thanksgiving dinner with my aunt! They treat her great
Staff are exceptional in their attentiveness; the facility is is lovely and white glove clean, and the meals are sooo delicious!
Our experience with Magnolia Springs East has been wonderful. Very caring and attentive staff. Couldn't be happier to have such a fantastic, competent, lovely place for Mom! It's a relief to know she is so well treated!
