My mother just got out of the rehab facility and we were very happy with her stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and nice.

uninvolved nurse leaders, nobody held accountable, double standards always. food ALWAYS COLD menu NEVER right. kitchen phone always off the hook. Showers not given. call light system a joke.By far A+ for therapy team !! Very special people !

One of my loved ones has been at this rehab for over a week now. Most of the staff are kind and competent, but there seem to be far too few. Everything he presses his call light for - from getting his poop-filled diaper changed to getting his pain meds when he's literally crying and hollering from pain - usually takes several hours (sometimes a nurse or aid will come in and explain why it's going to be hours before they can help him... as if that's helpful.) They don't seem slacking, just overburdened. But the result is the same - a poor standard of care in a pretty setting. Have been with him at other rehabs and this is easily the worst. EDIT: just since I left this earlier today, he's been waiting over 2 hours for pain relief, cannot get anyone to help, so I'm knocking them down to one star.

I was recently at Sam Swope for rehab. I was very happy with the care that I got. Friendly staff and physical therapy was excellent. Food wasn't bad either.

We were unhappy with our dads care at this facility, he didn’t receive the correct meds, which our own private nurse caught ! and required that family or sitters be with him 24/7. We were also told certain labs would be done and they were never ordered. We felt they were basically giving up on him until we demanded they discontinue strong anxiety meds in order to see if he was able to be alert enough to have PT and OT. Fortunately he did improve immensely and was discharged home.

Wonderful! Staff very friendly, I almost regretted leaving. They passed the smell test too. Highly recommended

The employees are amazing the few they have. But they work them to death. My mother has been in rehab here for one week. She had a stroke and can not do for herself. So she is at there mercy. They have one nurse and one aide to 25 patients. Then at one point the aide didn’t show up and left the nurse there with 25 patients. Then we have Covid and two patients share one bathroom. These places should not tell people they have a bed for rehab when they don’t have enough staff. Very disappointing when you look at the their website it shows a completely different environment. Beware!!!

One word. Shameful.

I will start out by saying Masonic Homes from the outside looking in is a beautiful facility and landscaping is idealic. However I wish more time and money would be spent on the inside which would actually benefit the patients/residents. I Have to give credit where it's due, there were several good but overworked aides and nurses, Jack, Tonya, Vicky, Larry to name a few! My 90 year old mother was admitted with a hip fracture and ended up having to do most everything for herself. She would ask for her meds or a shower and even help to the bathroom. The minimum wait time was 1 to 2 hours if she got help at all! We checked her out early because I was concerned about her falling getting to the toilet or her bed or chair without the staffs knowledge and laying there 8 hours or longer until someone from nutrition came to bring her food as no one checked on her for the sake of checking on her! Many of the staff I found out were not vaccinated and would come into mom's room with their mask under their chin. The final straw was an electrical outlet that we plugged a small fan into and started smelling like wires burning. Maintenance showed up several days later and said it would trip a breaker before it would catch on fire. I would not refer anyone to this place unless they had a family member who could stay with them 24/7.

This place has one of the most uncaring and disrespectful staffs I've ever met. If I could rate it a 0/5 stars I would but I'll settle with simply rating it a 1 star. I'm glad we discharged my grandfather from this horried place.

I currently have a very dear friend at your facility. He is very unhappy there. It takes forever to get someone to answer the call light. He has had one shift tell him to do something and then the next shift tell him not to do it. A lot of mixed messages. And this past Sunday a nurses aid was very rude to me. He states to me that he literally feels like they hate him. He needs rehab but he doesn't need to feel the way he does. I'm going to get in touch with the case manager for his wing.

It's a nice place with good care. Both of my parents have been placed here at different times, & it was an overall positive experience. The only drawback that I witnessed was the amount of time it takes for a nurse/CNA to answer call lights.

I was taken well care of I highly recommend this place the food was excellent people were very nice to me and took very good care of me there's therapy was very good for me I really enjoyed stay there I highly recommend it thank you

Unspecified · February 2019

The facility is amazing!! The staff is another story, for every good nurse we have there are 2 more that follow, the aides are the same way. Upper management doesn't interact with family or patient, I've made multiple calls to Mitchell & Stephanie but nobody has called back. I've been on the outside looking in & I would have referred this place to anyone but being on the inside I wouldn't refer this place to anyone. VERY UNSATISFACTORY

The Sam Swope Care center took care of Mother in every possible way. We are grateful for their care with every aspect of her stay at Masonic. From the rehab facility to the memory care unit, the staff was kind and concerned about mom and her wellbeing. We will always be grateful.
