River Valley Nursing Home has been a steady part of our family’s life for over twenty years. My grandmother was a resident there until she passed, and now my aunt and uncle live there too. The staff have always been kind and attentive. They learn the little things—how Grandma liked her tea, what time my uncle prefers his walk, which chair my aunt sits in for the afternoon news. The same caregivers who looked after Grandma years ago still check in on my relatives. Most of the staff are local; you see them around town, and that makes a difference. It feels familiar, not formal. The building is clean, the food is decent, and the routine is consistent. Nothing flashy, just reliable care from people who know the residents by name and treat them with respect. For our family, River Valley has become a quiet extension of home. We’re grateful they’re there.

The staff here truly care about the residents and it shows in everything they do. There’s a real sense of teamwork and pride among them, and the residents always seem happy and well cared for. It’s such a warm, welcoming place where people are treated with genuine kindness and respect.

My mom was there for 9 years and was treated like family by the entire staff. Never once did our family worry about her. Fantastic place !! Love everyone who works there

I absolutely love river valley nursing home the environment and the people who work there, they take pride in there residents that’s for sure I’ve never felt more welcoming than I did there. It’s so home bodied and down to earth, the building is really nice and the administrative workers are very down to earth as well.

My father In law absolutely loves being here. He has his mobility back (in a wheelchair) and knows a lot of the patients here. He is very happy with the staff as well. He told us once that he hasn’t ate this good in years! He enjoys the food so much we have had to buy him all new pants!

I can’t say enough good things about this nursing home. The staff truly care about their residents and treat everyone with patience, kindness, and respect. The facility is always clean and welcoming, and there’s a real sense of community here. My loved one is happy, well cared for, and engaged in daily activities that bring joy and purpose. It gives me great peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. Highly recommend to any family looking for a warm and professional place for their loved one.

The residents here are well cared for , however I did not like it as far as a job . Great place to send your loved ones though !

They are on their cellphones every time I go in there. Nurses are not compassionate towards the residents. I put my loved one there and it was the biggest mistake of my life. If I had known how they were I wouldn’t have done it. I wouldn’t even put my dog in there after my personal experience.

Incredible building! The new renovations are gorgeous. The staff are very welcoming. Therapy is great!

This is an older place. The furniture is old. The only newer thing I see is tv. This place might have been good in 2014 and 2016 but it could use help now . They need someone new in the kitchen because there is not alot of nutrition. Oatmeal every morning and tomatoes soup for lunch and a scoop of green beans and a scoop of brown beans and a hot dog. Is not nutrition. Hot dogs are one of the worst foods for anyone to eat much less someone older who needs alot of nutrition. The furniture could be updated and most of the older people are on oxygen or have problems breathing and they are painting the walla with the patients doors open. I have breathing problems and it bothered me.

River Valley was good and clean. The people there seemed to be very caring and attentive. My grandmother lived there and did not complain, so I guess the food was OK. They had space for private rooms, which was really important.

My brother-in-law was a resident in River Valley. The food was good and they do a very good job with people.. They don't have many people and the place was not very big.
