Such an amazing Facility! The staff are friendly & truly care for their patients!

My grandfather lived here as a resident and thrived in this home. He had back surgery and needed to go for some therapy, they got him better than he was before he even had the surgery. He was able to come back home, but unfortunately had to have another surgery a couple years later. But he wanted to go back to Riverview because he liked it so much, everyone there was so good to him and we really appreciated everything they did for him. Our family is so grateful and will definitely refer anyone we know there.

My Nanny was a Resident at Riverview Healthcare. She received top notch care. She was admitted following a fall with a shattered pelvis. After 8 weeks of extensive rehab, she walked out of there good as new! She didn’t even need a walker. Nanny has since passed, but our family will forever be thankful for the compassionate care she received. Thank you for all that each of you done for my Nanny!

I want to thank everyone at Riverview Healthcare Center for taking Great care of my dad. He said their wasn’t one person there he didn’t like. He enjoyed talking to you all and said he loves all of you. If you spent any time at all with him you know he was telling the truth. His heart goes out of rhythm but stays full of love.

I could never thank Riverview Healthcare enough for getting my grandmother back up on her feet and back home. The therapy department worked very hard to make sure she had a successful rehab to home stay at their facility. On top of the wonderful therapy she received while she was there, the rest of the staff treated her just like she was part of their family. I highly recommend Riverview Healthcare and will most definitely be using them again if the need arises!

My mother was a resident at the View a few years ago and they are the best! They treated her so well and the therapy department is top notch! I would recommend them to anyone. All of the staff there are the best! She will go back there if ever needed.

A wonderful facility, a rewarding job the Quality of Life Department is very involved with the residents and everyone treats the residents like family.

I have had several family members at Riverview Healthcare over many years and I would recommend it to anyone looking for care for a loved one. Absolutely the best in my opinion.

This is currently my dads home and we couldnt be happier. He feels so much at home that when we take him out he actually cant wait to get back home. My mother was also cared for years ago at the end of here life and nothing has changed we as a family feel as much comfort now as we did then. I would recommend this home to everyone and truly couldnt be more thankful for this home!!!

Riverview Healthcare is a wonderful place.The residents stay active and are loved by the staff as if they were there own family.

Formerly I worked as an EMT for most of my adult years. During my career I have been in countless nursing care facilities for the elderly. And, you should know that the elderly have always been very dear to my heart. I remember the first time I visited Riverview walking in the door and being surprised at how “homey” it felt. Like, walking into my grandparent’s living room. All the warm welcoming colors, the family decor that was current and not dated but most importantly the facility smelled like a home too.. There was none of the overwhelming and industrial smells that hospitals or the majority of the other facilities smelled like they were recklessly using far too much cleaning products. The next thing I noticed was the hum of happy chatter between the residents and staff. The residents were smiling, often laughing while interacting with the staff. No matter if were aids, nurses, office personnel or even maintenance. All the staff seemed “present” and engaging with the residents. As if they were authentically treating or talking to their own grandparents or someone they loved not just a “patient.” Then I learned of all the activities they offer to their residents. The staff takes time to get to know each resident. Finding out hobbies they enjoyed while they were in their own home, things they would like to learn how to do, things they wished they would have like to experience, like Mardi Gras. A resident wished they she had gone to Mardi Gras so one evening they turned the dining into Bourbon Street for the residents. They even do line dancing and art classes. They have a movie theatre, library and even a hair/barber shop on site! They do exceptional work and planning to keep the residents as much involved with the community and the community involved with the residents. Hands down, it is the best elder facility I have ever been to.

The Riverview Health Care Center is where I most recently visited, as I was along for support with a very good friend of mine. Since I would consider myself to be an experienced person when it comes to dealing with these type of facilities, I always seem to keep an eye out for what is really going on in these places. While I normally have a lot to complain about, this time was much different, as I walked away very impressed with what I saw during my two hour visit to this facility. The staff could not have been more pleasant, as they seemed eager to please my friend's family member with all of his needs, and they were also extremely courteous when she had any type of question for them. The rooms all seemed very clean and well kept, including the bathroom and all of the social gathering areas. Speaking of gathering areas, this facility had a very large area devoted to the patients entertainment, which I thought was very nice. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone, as it is very nice and well operated by true professionals.

My mother said she wanted us to never put her in a nursing home, ever. We broke that promise and to make it worse, the mother of nine did not get the visiting she so badly needed.The staffing was varied, some people could be so nice and others you would wonder how they kept their jobs working with people.I seen her go through therapy each week. She would smile at me when I got there to visit. She ate better since the food was served three times a day.Our elders were raised to be independent and had to stand alone. Now, we have to reverse the roles and help them in every days tasks and it does feel strange at first. It doesn't get any easier as time passes.
