Reviews
for Signature HealthCARE of Georgetown
It's taking me all most two years to make this post. My mother was a resident there and on her first day there they let her fall. Some of the workers there have bad attitude. I had to stand up for her and when I did they took it out on her when I was not there. I went there everyday and it was always something wrong. They let her sat in pee and poop for hour when I wasn't there. Even when I put the call light on know one came. She died four months later , there was only one person there that was kind to me and it was Mrs. Charlotte she was at the front desk I will always appreciate her kindness.
By far one of the best experiences ever!
I went to visit my grandma for the first time at the facility. I begged her to stay with me for her final days but she said that my mother had put her in a really nice place so I wasn’t too worried. I took my husband and 3 kids and even the puppy to visit. My grandma decided to go off dialysis so she doesn’t have much time left. Maybe a few weeks. First thing you notice when you pull up is how dilapidated the building is. I prayed that it looked better on the inside but it was way worse. The smell of urine and feces hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The halls and rooms are cramped as we walk through looking for my grandmas room. People are moaning, the floors, walls, tables are covered in filth. We wind around several halls and when I saw my grandma in that tiny, dark, smelly room my heart sank. There was a rag in the floor covered in feces. There was take out food on her table that had been there for 2 days. The smell was almost unbearable. She said that she was uncomfortable and that her butt hurt so I tried to help her adjust the bed but nothing was helping. She needed to roll over on her side to relieve the pressure. I looked around the room for another pillow to put behind her back and there wasn’t one. I went to the nurses station and said that my grandma was uncomfortable and the nurse responded with I gave her morphine and she threw it up. I said she needs to be rotated. She needs a pillow. They looked very bothered that they had to do anything. She sent an aide to the basement to find a pillow. I waited and the aide and I went back to the room. The aide stood there with the pillow like she had no idea what to do so I took it and positioned my grandma on her side and my grandma said that was much better. They’re not even rotating patients. They probably all have bed sores but I guess if they give them enough morphine they don’t have to worry about it. This place should be shut down TODAY. It’s the worse facility I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t let my dog stay there let alone any human. When we left we all smelled like feces and urine. That’s how bad the ammonia smell is. We all had to go straight home and take showers. Whoever is in charge of this place.. I don’t know how they sleep at night. Because I sure didn’t after seeing my grandma in that situation.
I brought my grandmother here for care after a few fractures directly from the hospital. The first night was awful and the space was worn, dirty, and tiny without a window. The night CNA was so rude that my grandmother wanted to leave early the next morning. After that, the staff was very accommodating and seemed to want to fix the issues she experienced. She was given a much better room in the rehab wing. The nurses and staff were nice, but not overly helpful. Had I not visited every day, certain daily care rituals would not have happened. We had to change her sheets and give her a bath twice, since the staff missed her shower days twice. I don't think they changed her sheets at all other than the time we changed them for her. The care seems to be minimal, especially for a 92 year old with fresh fractures - or maybe they are understaffed. They do have daily activities and therapy, which she enjoyed. The rehab wing is MUCH cleaner than the other wing (not sure what it's called).
Have been here approx 1 week, could not ask for better care, clean odor, the best therapy, pleasant staff.
This place was so welcoming and all the staff was amazing. I came here from UK hospital after shattering my ankle and breaking my leg for rehab. The therapy staff was very receptive when I was having a hard time. I Loved how they cheered you on and celebrated when you met a goal. The nurses and aides were very caring, also receptive and were extremely kind. I loved the Activity Staff who made the days full of fun things to do and encouraged interactions. I’m 44 yrs old so I was the youngest person here, most were 20+ years older than me. I loved watching the staff interact with the people here. Watching them laugh with the patients, be sweet and kind to the ones who weren’t aware of what was going on, encouraged them to join games and sat with them and helped them be apart of things like crafts. I had an amazing stay here. I highly recommend this place.
Nurses and aids are top notch. Smiles and encouragement. A plus for many of them . Physical Therapy is what I came for. They explain things well. Special kudos to the dark haired therapist. He is very intelligent and great to work with. I’m here to get stronger not on vacation
Love the team at Georgetown! Everyone is smiling and works amazing together. The home is clean and full of laughs and smiles.
Great place. Provides good quality care and great staff.
Love my residents and work family!
This is by far the best place. The staffing was so great and understanding, always willing to lend a helping hand. They have a great medical & therapy team. Highly suggest this place any of your needs.
I've been meaning to write a review but have had to deal with my mothers illness for sometime. This place did not attend to my mothers needs at all. She was very ill with a diabetic issue and they were giving her a regular diet. The lady on staff extremely rude. My son stayed with her during the day while I worked and he said. We have to get her out of here asap. We transported her back to hospital because she was doing so poorly and she had one of the worst bed sores ever. No one ever addressed the issue. Beware do not send your love one to this facility. The nurse on duty told me repeatedly that she would put in orders for a UTI but never did. She was more interested in her cell phone. There was another lady there that I still think about. Bless her heart. She did not have family that came to visit with her. I fear for her safety.
We found Cheryl and the rest of the folks working here to be compassionate, kind and helpful.
A sight for sore eyes
The rooms are super-small. There are no chairs for visitors to sit in. My sister was there for a few days, and her clothes were all lost. Same has happened to my friend. There are not enough employees to provide adequate care for the patients. Having a person need a change for at least 45 minutes is not a rarity. There just aren't enough aides. The people who work there try, but they are way understaffed, so this is not a desirable place to be.
My uncle was there and when my aunt and Mom picked him up he was unbathed, needed shaved and was gaulded. I really thought this might be an alright place for therapy but I read the reviews and most are from employees. We are really disappointed. I don't know about you but this is really not what you expect from a nursing home, but then again maybe it's exactly what you expect.
These amazing people took exceptional care of my grandmother at the end of her life. I am thankful for each and every staff member that had part in it. Special thanks to Jody, Kayla, Holly, Janet and so many others who I may not have caught names for. Everyone loved my Granny up until the last second. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Signature.
Not a good place to be a patient. Never got a hot meal for the whole time I was there. Most of the time the food was cold. They forgot to feed me several times while I was there. Meds were not given in a timely manner as well. I waited for several hours at times for my meds. Nurses would forget to change dressings on my wounds for days. Had to change dressings myself a couple of times because nurse was having a bad night. She admitted so. The only bright spot was the therapy department. That is the only reason I gave them a star was for the therapy department. I strongly do not recommend this place.
I have a family member at SHC. I believe they have received excellent care. The staff has always kept me informed about any changes or concerns and I have always felt at ease leaving my loved one in their care. The staff have always been helpful and proactive and are very approachable. Any concerns have been addressed quickly and satisfactorily. The building may at first seem dated but the facility is clean and well kept. The rooms at times feel small but are adequate. There are lots of opportunities for staying engaged and involved with activities and socials. Overall, I am very pleased with SHC.
This facility is the best. I wish it was open when I needed rehab. They treated my husband fantastic. The staff was so helpful and caring. Special thanks to Theresa and Mary and the rest of the staff. Your all do an excellent job! Thank you so much

The facility is a great place, I would recommend it as my first choice.
I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality long term care for their loved ones. The staff are wonderful with the residents as well as the families, very friendly and professional!
I recently spent a few weeks at Signature recovering from a broken ankle. I was impressed with the wonderful care that I received there. The staff was professional and friendly. I asked my partner to write a review for me, but I want everyone to know how much I appreciate all your people. I highly recommend Signature! Sincerely, Michael Togal
Patient contracted scabies at this facility. Overall highly unsatisfied. Patient was there for six weeks for physical therapy that did not improve much at all. Now left with nothing but a huge bill even after Medicare paid 80%.
Signature Healthcare of Georgetown team has done as awesome job helping to keep COVID out of the building. It has been a trying year for everyone in healthcare but especially long term care facilities. We cannot wait until families, community members and groups can start to come back into our facility. Very dedicated staff that makes sure residents are cared for.
Signature HealthCare at Georgetown has an outstanding team of managers and steakholders taking care of our residents. This center has a great Transitional Care Unite designed to meet the needs of those looking for a post acute rehabilitation center. I have witness multiple success at Georgetown.
Thanking each and every member of the staff for taking care of my great Aunt Joyce, and making her stay as comfortable as possible! Therapy has helped her tremendously and made it possible for her to be able to return to the comfort of her own home. We are forever thankful for you all!
The front entrance is also NOT wheelchair accessible!!!
