The amount of love shown to the residents at this facility surpasses all I have seen. The place is always clean, residents well kept and always smiling.

I've worked at several nursing homes in the tri-state and I would not have done this for any of them. This place does the absolute best to take care of our residents and their families. I've never been anywhere else where it truly felt like a community and one big family. Our Administrator Mary W. has worked so hard into getting the building remodeled and updating so that it looks as homey as it feels. Great staff and a truly wonderful place to work if you truly care about caregiving.

If you're looking for a place to put a loved one, look elsewhere. This place is horrible. Always under staffed & all the staff is always in a hateful mood. I have a friend staying here & they refuse to get him out of bed & he has had to wait up to a hour to get cleaned up after a accident due to not being able to get to the rest room. They don't stay on top of medicines either. He has ran out of medicine he absolutely needs & has had to go sometimes 3-4 days without it. Also, the staff is quick to make false assumptions about residents. State is showing up atleast once a month now over complaints. Most of the 5 star reviews on here is from current or past employees to make the review rate look good. I'd highly ask around about this place before considering it & I promise you'll choose elsewhere.

South Shore Nursing and Rehab is a WONDERFUL facility. Very clean and cozy environment. The administrator, faculty and staff are very friendly and helpful. Exceptional care for their residents. They go above and beyond for everyone. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for rehab or care for their loved ones.

My husband’s grandmother went to South Shore nursing for rehab after an illness made her so weak she could not ambulate at home. The staff has been so good to her and treat her like family. The facility is clean and the administration is wonderful and puts the best interest of the residents first. We appreciate them for taking such good care of her!

South Shore is an excellent facility with an excellent management team. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Staff!

The rooms are dingy. Paint peeling off walls, limited lighting. Bathrooms are small, not alot of room for residents and staff. Residents sitting in wheelchairs in main hall for hours. Room alarms and lights on with no staff coming for over an hour. They are understaffed and undertrained. Owner needs to remodel this location. It's outdated.

This nursing home is understaffed, staff is not trained. When I have visited, there has been nurses sitting at the nurses station on their phones while residents lights and alarms going off. Last time I was in, the only person on the floor was the meds nurse. The bathroom floor in the room was flooded with about 1" of water on the floor where a resident could have slipped and fallen. The paint on walls are peeling off. It needs a complete remodeling.

South shore nursing home is a warm, cozy, welcoming facility. The staff is friendly and professional. The residents are amazing. Staff enjoys interacting with the residents. Conversations, jokes, singing are going to be heard. Family members visiting, friends hanging out. I'm honored to be a part of such a great team of co-workers and most importantly I'm privileged to take care of the best residents!!!!

This is such a neat center. The nursing team is excellent and they truly care for the residents here.

The staff was great, always responsive and courteous and focusing on my great grandmothers needs. They offered great food and had specialists on site. With a fun event planned nightly for the residents, and even the occasional field trip, the made sure everyone received the proper care they deserve and need. They only things I saw that i thought need improvemnet was the building itself. The structure in which the retirement home is in was over 100 years old and need to be updated or remodeled pretty bad. Not saying the equipment wasn't up to date because it was just the actual building itself. Also there was as light smell that loomed through the halls that did leave you wishing you could cover your nose. But other than that there are no other complaints with them. South Shore Rehab providing great service and attending to my needs but mroe importantly my great grandmothers.
