Telford Terrace

The majority of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The time for the staff to respond to call lights is very long (up to an hour sometimes). Lunch is the best meal of the day and then breakfast. Dinner is usually a sandwich and sides. Did have an issue with a nurse but the DON appeared to handle the situation. Also, there was one LPN that was an excellent nurse but she did wear a stocking hat at least once that said "I Can't Do It". The did not impress me at all since I was there for rehabilitation and you want to have I can do it. But like I mentioned she was one of the best nurses there.

Most unprofessional DON and nurse I've ever seen. Addressing issues in front of other staff, residents and family out on the floor and not handling that privately. Not taking initiative to come out of the office during meal times and assist the floor when needed. Waiting until after the meal and making an appearance to do what's left, which is a resident still finishing their meal. Trays being set up in DR infront of residents who are incapable of feeding themselves and leaving the plate in front of them to be found by agency and DR left unsupervised. A thousand wonders someone didn't choke. Refusing to pay people, but also refusing to send them home after accusing them of not working. The DON and a select cpl of nurses have an attitude problem. DON literally made sure no one walked out the front door to take a break after none of her staff working that day had even had a break of any kind for the morning. I guess she was going to say something about that as well, like breaks aren't allowed. Say u didn't work, u don't need one and her attitude she packs around. She couldn't wait for agency to walk out and take one so she could DNR them. Worked there on night shift and the staff didn't seem to ever be any sort of a problem. Very nice on night shift. Maybe check your day shift staff for future reference.

Amazing place ❤️

Currently(May 2023) there is a resident held against her will. She cannot leave the building nor be visited by anyone not approved by a former POA. There is no competency evaluation, just opinions. Nonetheless....THIS IS NOT LEGAL AND VIOLATES MEDICARE/GOVERNMENT RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS OF NURSING HOME RESIDENTS, regardless. If you are thinking about Telford, check these rules first.

Nursing staff, management included, take a very active role in ensuring that ALL patients receive the best care possible. Nursing management continually strives to maintain an excellent rating with all state inspections; their priorities are giving patients the best possible in all areas. They want to “over*exceed” your expectations. I recommend this home.

Nice staff. Very helpful

A group from my church performed a mini-concert at Telford Terrace in the spring of 2010. I had been involved in scheduling the concert, and found my interactions with the program director at the facility to be polite and professional at all times. We felt very welcome to be there, both from the residents and from the employees. Speaking to some of the residents, it was clear that they enjoyed their day-to-day routine and lifestyle at the facility. The regular opportunities to engage in activities and socialize were recognized by everyone I spoke to, and our church group later discussed amongst ourselves how impressed we were with how busy everyone seems to be. The standards of cleanliness were high and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The size and quality of the rooms we got to see were impressive, and I made a rough favorable comparison in my mind to the facility my grandfather resides in near Canton, OH.
