for Tender Touch Heart & Home
This place and these people have been a saving grace for my family. Mom has been there going on 5 years. They care about these people. Nothing can ever be perfect. In a perfect world their families would be caring for them.
We have been so pleased with then care and attention Dad receives at Tender Touch Heart and Home. The staff are all amazing!
The director Joan is great with the patient. Staff is always friendly. The facility is always clean and neat and take very good care of our loved ones.
We moved my Mom into TTHH Nov 2024, after realizing this would be the best for her at this point in her life. From the first visit, meeting Dona (owner), Joan the Director and many of the nurses, I felt this was the best decision. The facility was clean, very tidy, beautifully decorated and homey! My Mom suffered from dementia and she moved in pretty sick, but the staff was so wonderful. I was moving her in by myself, and Barry (Joan’s husband) helped so much getting her Tv set up, assembling furniture..etc. My Moms stay was very short, but the entire time she was well taken care of, 24/7. All the nurses and staff were amazing, especially Diane. I can only say good things about Tender Touch, and will be forever grateful for how they treated my Mom and I. Thank you so much for everything.
Tender Touch facility is always clean, smells good, and the staff are always willing to help visitors!
My experiences had been A+ with tender touch. When my sister was no longer safe to be alone, it was the best choice we made. We have been overwhelmed with the care and the ability for the staff to make her comfortable and satisfied in her home, there. Really appreciate Melissa Baumgardner NP, checking on her and keeping her healthy, as possible. Thanks again to all of the staff members.
My aunt has been a resident here for over seven months now, and our family couldn't be more grateful for the care and compassion she's received. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel welcome and cared for like family. They take time to know each resident personally and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels valued and comfortable. The facility is always clean, cheerful, and full of life - there's a genuine warmth in the atmosphere. Communication with staff has been excellent and we feel confident that she is in good hands with their onsite medical provider for any primary care needs. We are thankful for the entire team and the way they pour into our aunt.
My mother-in-law has been a resident of TTSS for 2 months and while this is a short time to form an opinion I will say she is very pleased with the services, amenities, apartment, and staff she interacts with on a daily basis. She had been extremely reluctant to move into an assisted living facility due to cost and loss of independence. Once she realized she could no longer safely drive she understood it was time. Since at the Westport facility she continues to keep busy, participates in the daily on-site activities, and enjoys her meals. The meals are put in her apartment on days when she is out of the facility on one of her “adventures”. She is checked on multiple times throughout the day which gives her a level of comfort and safety. Honestly, I do not understand how this level of care can be provided at the cost charged. TTSS and her many friends who take her out have made her transition to not driving much smoother than any of us expected. Full disclosure, there was a miscommunication up front regarding the first month rent which has been resolved (thank you Melissa).
To Kelly who spent an hour writing about nonsense, get it in writing. To Harrison who wrote red flags...be more specific to be taken seriously. My dad has been there 4 years now. He has had a hip replacement and knee replacement since. Told Joan I would put in him in long term care to recover...she said nope bring him back here, we want to make sure he gets the right kind of care for recovery.
My mother Doris Mobley was there for about 2 1/2 years. I can’t say enough good things about Tenter Touch senior living. The staff is very loving and caring. I can’t imagine having her anywhere else. The last month before her passing they were so good to us right to the end. Dee Johnson is a great leader with a wonderful staff. I feel we have made friends for life . May God Bless them all.🙏🙏🙏..
Stopped to visit someone in September. I was blown away at how rude the staff were to visitors. Joan should not be working with elderly if she can't treat their family and friends with respect.
Great... Felt like Home !
Great place we moved our loved one from another facility in town. Tender Touch is much better. The staff is great the support is great, I live out of town and the communicate with me to ensure I am aware of what’s happening. I would highly recommend Tender Touch!!
The staff is caring and helpful to the residents. In my opinion the Administrative Staff can be abrupt and short when you ask questions.
This place is awesome. You cant find better care than they provide. It's clean and they take special care of the residents. My brother in law loves the place which is great. He loves the food and all the attention. Plus, when you call, you get a person not an automated service.
We visited Tender Touch Heart and Home. What bothered us most there was that they had a very limited choice of meals. Whatever they serve that day is what you got. Also, they had limits on their visiting hours. Those were the two things that kind of turned us against it. The staff was OK. Upkeep and maintenance seemed adequate. The dining area seemed to be nice. They had a nice porch area where you could sit, and there was a walking area around the outside of the building.
My friend is at Tender Touch Heart and Home. It was affordable and it was a very nice facility. It was fresh and it met my friend's needs. The thing that I like the least is they still have COVID regulations in place as far as their visiting and children coming in. I do not like that. No one can come in for 3 hours during mealtimes. Children under 12 cannot come into the facility still, and I feel that is unnecessary. They have activities. They have bingo, they have exercise classes, they have church on Sundays, and they have people that come in from time to time to do things like music and all. My friend has been there for four weeks now. They have a salon there once a week and they have a courtyard, too.
Tender Touch Heart and Home was a nice facility. The place was very clean and the staff seemed very nice. The rooms were kind of small, and they didn't have adjoining rooms so my parents could be together. The staff who assisted me with the tour was nice and friendly. They had games like bingo and domino and different activities. The dining area looked nice with good lighting and nice tables and chairs. They just need to make the rooms bigger, but I was satisfied overall with the tour.
Red flags
Administration is rude, Joan is very unprofessional, Ill mannered. Staff does great job caring for my aunt.
My parents have moved into Morningview Gardens. The staff seemed very involved and helpful, that's cool. They just take time to help me as well as help my parents. They provide meals and some assistance with dressing a couple of times. They do laundry, and they do a little bit of cleaning. They're just very proactive in making sure that my parents got what they needed. Every time I went in, it was very clean. It's a cozy community; it's smaller, so you get a home-like feel. I have not eaten there, but my parents say most of the time, it's good, but sometimes it's not so. It's still pretty good. They have bingo, a lot of the people play cards. They have church services, exercise classes, and a beauty salon that my mom has used. They have a bus that's supposed to take them to activities, but my mom and dad haven't been there long enough to use that.
There is a nurse there name TJ & she is AWESOME! My Family and I just love her! =)
My mother in-law Was a resident here and we loved Morning View. It is always clean and fresh. The ladies were helpful and truly care about the well being of the residents. I cannot say enough about Leslie and her compassionate care she is wonderful. All the ladies were very caring and helpful. The building is well maintained the common areas are always fresh and clean. The meals were very always very good and the staff was very attentive to individual likes and dislikes. I would not hesitate to recommend Morning View.
Morningview Gardens was small, but it seems to be well-staffed. The employees were very friendly. They do exercise every day, sing-alongs, and gatherings.
