Reviews
for The Legacy at English Station
Amazing place and staff
Both my parents were patients there for close to 6 months. The level of care and personal attention was just amazing. The whole staff were wonderful in helping my parents deal with their issues whatever they might be. The memory care facility was perfect for my dad with dementia. We could not have found a better place for him to be in his last months and days. The compassion that every single person that works there will never be forgotten by our family. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I can’t recommend the legacy at English station enough.
Matt and the team at The Legacy provide 5 star service and care. Both of my grandparents were residences at The Legacy and there was never a doubt all of their needs were being met. Matt and the team were responsive and communicative in all facets. Highly recommend The Legacy at English Station.
Great staff and genuine care for all of the residents. Would highly recommend if your family is looking for memory care for a loved one.
My 98 year old father-in-law has been here for about 2 years. He came to the facility with his wife who passed away in February. The staff has been universally responsive and were supportive and comforting when his wife passed away. They have stayed on top of any physical, cognitive and emotional issues. They know him very well—his quirks, his stories, his family, his favorite foods (meals are wonderful). We have also grown to know and love the staff—all of them. There seems to be very low turnover. I would recommend them without reservation. .
The Legacy at English Station was one of my favorites. It was all memory care, so everything was open. I loved the space that they had. They had three different hallways connected like a square, and in the middle of that, outside was a humongous courtyard that was all green space with trees and flowers. There they had little screened-in porches that had rocking chairs. I love the outdoor space. I love the interior, and I love the staff. The residents were outside walking, they were inside doing activities, and they were finishing up with their lunchtime. Pretty much any staff we walked by knew the residents by name, so that was nice. The one thing that my sister-in-law didn't like is they did not have pull cords. If they were to fall in the bathroom or they were to fall in their room, there wasn't a pull cord to alert somebody. That was the only downfall for my sister-in-law. Everything else was great. It was my favorite place out of all nine that we toured.
My sister is at The Legacy at English Station. It's new, clean, and close by. They have adequate staffing. They are caring and they treat the residents like their own family. They have weekly events. They have entertainment where they have someone come in and sing to them and do memory activities daily. They also play jazz and other music throughout the day. They have daily events for them and it changes. The food is excellent, too. It's gourmet quality.
We ended up having my father at The Legacy at English Station. It was a good season for him. They have a wonderful area in the middle where they can go walk and that's very helpful for memory care being outside whenever they want. They understand very well memory care issues, and they don't restrict them in ways that would impair them even further. They were very attentive to him. I would've liked more communication on a regular manner about what care they were giving him and the kind of help that he was requiring week-to-week, and we didn't have that. It was something that we had to continue to ask about. Also, they ended up moving a whole group of them to another facility because COVID broke out in that area. My dad was the only one who ended up not testing positive for COVID and yet they moved him anyway, which really impaired him, and it has actually made him get a lot worse. It ended up being a difficult situation. At the beginning, it was very good, and there were lots of great people who worked there. If COVID didn't happen, I would rate them a four/five.
Greatly appreciate it
Wonderful, wonderful facility. Staff is amazing, patient and flexible. I love the programs, the community, layout and care my mom has been receiving!
My husband does not qualify for this community now, but they still provide me with support and education. I appreciate that this company is interested in sharing knowledge about dementia care. There expertise is invaluable to me.
Beautiful setting. Caring Staff. Highly recommend!
This place was great! The outdoor space is wonderful and I could see my mom spending time there. I would highly recommend Thrive.
Wonderful facility. The care that they have given my aunt is exceptional. The layout/design of the facility is beautiful and the staff, even more so. They seem to take a genuine interest in their residents. If I'm ever in need of a facility like this... this is where I would want to be.
My mom has just moved in but I cannot say enough about the care and planning we have received from the staff and the positive energy we have witnessed in how the team interacts with the residents. This place seems totally focused on building positive moments for the residents.
The president there is excellent and very hands on and loves to help everyone including the residents at thrive. The staff want the very best for the residents & families. It's Beautiful inside & out and very well designed. They also have the most amazing nurses and care specialist to be there for the residence. I Love how everyone is Unique and one of kind . I Definitely recommend this place????.
We placed our mother in Thrive last month. I cannot recommend this facility and the staff enough. They met privately with my sister and me when we were just exploring options. Nobody was in a rush or pressured us at all. When our mom fell and we had to make a quick decision, Thrive folks were right there, explaining everything! They were super flexible with payment options, room choices, what to bring or not bring, etc. This was all new to us and Thrive held our hand every step. And by the way, our Mom is doing wonderfully. There's activities, plenty of happy staff, care with dignity, easy easy communication. You can have peace on this journey and Thrive helps you get it.
After placing my Dad in Thrive 10 months ago I honestly have to say he’s doing SO much better than he was at home. He’s more at peace and not aggravated with his memory lapses; he’s physically healthier because he now gets 3 balanced meals a day; and his meds are now being administered correctly by caring nurses. He’s cognitively stimulated by the various activities they schedule and the social interaction he gets from the staff and residents. If we hadn’t put Dad into this facility he probably wouldn’t be alive today.
This community is amazing for so many reasons. The staff is so caring and educated on how to work with residents and their family living with dementia. To them, resident's are just not people, they are family. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful; upon entering you immediately feel right at home. They have so many activities that keep resident's engaged and entertained. The location is perfect as it's right off the interstate. I can not say enough about this community and it's staff, I give it an A+.

We love our residents! If, you haven't visited please make plans to do so, we will love your family as ours. We are in the business of making the most of the golden years. We are activity motivated, we have morning stretches, games and delicious food. There are outings, nature walks and great music! We have parties with live bands and historical visitors. And, if you choose to just relax we have three beautiful livingroom areas and a scenic courtyard. Again, we have delicious food. If, you are in our area please stop and see our beautiful loving community. Cannot wait to meet you!
The only thing that stopped me for giving this facility a review was because I said I wasn't going to retaliate, nor bring any more negativity towards the facility. This facility has a few good nurses and caregivers but as far as the rest of the staff, they are very unprofessional in their everyday interactions with staff. The administrator/President, Kathy Wiederhold, sets the tone for this community, which is very negative. The Health and Wellness Director all the way down to the Marketing Director, has no professional etiquette when speaking to staff or others. The current management team are still very unorganized and unclear of how a community of this magnitude should be ran, even after being open for all most two years. Management treat most, especially African Americans, like they are beneath them. This community does not work as a team to make it a great place for the residents, instead they are always gossiping behind each other’s backs and try to turn everyone against each other. No matter how I feel or felt about this community, my care for my residents have always been excellent. As for the current management, there could be some major changes to make this community an excellent place to live for our residents. The management staff does not know their place as to what nursing should manage, such as approving residents to be sent out to the hospital or psych facilities, and who should be looking at the overall operation of the community making sure that we are meeting all of the qualifications to stay in business. This community uses more agency than regular staff due to the current management team and their issues. We recently had a state survey that instructed us to move appropriately 20 residents who did not meet the personal care requirements. These are the things that should be the focus of the President, Marketing Director, and the other managers instead of finding ways to keep chaos up within the community. This community has potential to be a great community but not under these current circumstances. They will never keep good adequate staff and families will eventually move their love ones to a better managed community, even if it’s not as new as this one.
We are very happy with the care our mother is receiving here. The staff are very supportive, the community is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Our mom has special needs so she is not able to be a part of the activities but they do keep the residents here busy. The management is easy to work with if there is a problem. My dad has a direct number which makes him feel better. I would recommend taking a tour to see for yourself.
I mow the grass and inside the court yard i think its a nice place to spend the later days of life considering all the storys about care of elderly
Wonderful facility. The care that they have given my aunt is exceptional. The layout/design of the facility is beautiful and the staff, even more so. They seem to take a genuine interest in their residents. If I'm ever in need of a facility like this... this is where I would want to be.
We have already chosen Clarity Pointe and my mother qualified for memory care, so she has been in there since September. We absolutely love it. It is very clean, people are on top of stuff, the caregivers just seem to love all the residents, and we have really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean when I went in; you could smell that it was clean. Of course it is new, but it didn’t smell like a nursing home. The rooms were a decent size, and the storage was very nice. I liked the schedule, which they did things with mother. The only thing I wish is that they would bathe her a little more often than what they do, but I understand that with so many people you can only do so much. However, she stays clean, and that is important.
I put mom in Clarity Pointe Louisville, and I’m quite pleased with it. I would highly recommend it. The staff seems very warm and caring. I really like the executive director. When I arrived there, I was at the end of my rope, and she was very approachable. My mother has nothing but positive things to say about them. The atmosphere is wonderful. There is an option to take them to doctors' appointments for an added fee. She’s gained six pounds in a month. They have activities every day, and the calendar looks quite full. When I first put her in there, they always had to get her out of her room, and now she’s sitting in the living area on her own. She’s quite pleased with it and very well cared for. The facility is lovely and immaculate. Clarity Pointe Louisville is just a few miles from my house. When I went there, I liked them so much, we decided to just go with them.
My father moved into Clarity Pointe back in July. This is a perfect fit for anyone who has a loved one with memory issues. The loving and caring staff go above and beyond making sure the residents feel at home. It is absolutely beautiful from the light and airy resident rooms to the common area that seems to be a gathering spot for the activities that they offer. One of the main attractions is the large outdoor enclosed courtyard for taking walks some activities or just sitting in the screened in porches for a friendly visit. It has been an excellent experience and very reassuring that our family has chosen the right place to take care of our father.
Clarity Pointe was very nice, and their management staff was very helpful. It was more of a memory care center, and my parents were at that point. They had a lot of activities, and the residents seemed happy with what they were doing. I liked it a lot. The rooms were nice. I think they had a central kitchen where they cook all the food, but then they had an area with a home-style kitchen and a dining area where everyone had to eat together. It was very nicely set up.
Everything is going fine so far for my mother since her move to this community. The place seems to be kept very clean, however, its a new place and still understaffed. I noticed the other night they seemed to be overwhelmed, but they do a good a good job. Other than that they do a fine job and the food seems to be good. I would recommend them, to anyone.
Everything has been going good here for us. My dad said that he likes the food, but my mom says that the they do not give enough. The lunch is dinner and the dinner is lunch. The community is always clean and that was a big part of making the decision on bringing my parents there also that it was brand new and it was really close to us.
This is a lovely community and everything is working out very well for my mother here. They have a great staff and they have been very caring to my mother. They have two young student aids, and they have very attentive to my mother and her needs. I've tired some of the meals and the food is good. Overall she is being cared for well and I'am pleased. This is a community I would recommend.
Clarity Pointe is brand new; the executive director has 23 years of experience in the market for assisted living. The staff really do a great job. It’s a beautiful place, it’s very well lit, and it has an inside courtyard. It’s an extremely caring place. However, the space is limited, and they’re going to take only 60 residents. The food is excellent. I’m happy to tell anybody about them.
Clarity Pointe was fine and brand new in a good location, but I just did not get a good feeling due in part to it being new but empty. I only met two staff members, and they were fine. Everything was very new. The rooms were fine. The price was in line with all of the others in Louisville.
The staff was very helpful with answering any questions. I just feel that the place was interesting. The amenities that this community offered was not what I was looking for. The community was clean and kept up.
My Aunt recently moved into Clarity Pointe. The facility is quite amazing! The park like setting, which allows residents to step outside in the safe and beautiful environment is fabulous. The resident apartments are beautifully decorated and the common area is warm, inviting and homelike. The Management Team and Staff obviously care very much about the residents and provide exceptional support to families. Activities are stimulating and outings occur on a regular basis. I wish I could rate this facility higher than 5 stars.
