Reviews
for The Neighborhood of Somerset
For over $9,000 a month vs the level of care provided I am amazed! They are under staffed. The people attending the residents are clearly over worked. The restrooms I have used are disgusting. I can’t attest to the patients facilities, but if the ones I have used are any indication they can’t be good. On my last visit there were dead roaches on the floor. Everywhere I walked was sticky. I am amazed that they get by with the conditions of the facility. The outside is extremely deceptive. The grounds are well kept and clean. The inside is a different story. I consider places like this to be a medical facility. Every place has bad days, but this has been my experience for years. I wish I was able to move the person I visit, but unfortunately that falls to someone else. Unbelievable! Too bad I can’t unload smells.
I went to The Neighborhood of Somerset. It was nice. When I was there, there were a couple of musicians playing gospel music, which I appreciated. The people seem to be happy. A couple of people I talked to said they enjoyed living there. That was nice. They're doing a major overhaul right now, putting in sprinklers, which is a good thing. And, like I said, a major overhaul doing all kinds of things within the facility. There were some nice places outside, to sit, to relax and read or just enjoy nature.
Sharon and the staff at The Neighborhood go above and beyond to care for our loved one. Our family member loves living there. The food, activities and outings are excellent. Having a beauty salon on site is super important to the clients.
Thanks for the family night, Great food and thanks for taking care of our loved ones,They go the extra mile for our loved ones.
Very pleased. The director and staff have helped so much with my mother And her transition. They are always very pleasant and willing to help in anyway. We are very happy to place our mother here.thank you for your love and kindness.
Love it,me and my mother feel at home
The staff is always kind, friendly and always attentive to the residents. The residents are well cared for. No matter what time I drop by for a visit, I am always pleased with the care that I see being given to the residents.
This was a very nice community. We have have chosen this community if they had availability for our loved one.
My grandfather was recently moved into the skilled nursing part of the facility. I was able to visit for the first time a few days ago and so impressed with the facility and staff. He seems genuinely happy to be there. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything looked clean, the food looked delicious and the staff treated every patient as if it were their own family member.
The value for the money is great, I think it is a steal for what is provided. The facility has a bright and upbeat atmosphere which is what stuck out most to us during the tour. The best thing about this place is the director, she is the most energetic and engaging person. The staff love her, the residents love her, it all just comes back to how she runs things. I would 100 % recommend The Neighborhood of Somerset to others looking.
No,no this place is dark and depressing. It's dirty and not well kept even the handicap doors do not work. I don't believe it has been updated since it opened.
Our experience with The Neighborhood of Somerset was very good. The staff during the tour was very helpful. The facility was very nice. It's a very good location. The apartments were very pleasant and had a nice interior. They have games, outside activities, trips, game nights, and movie nights. The menu had a nice selection of food. It had a very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and very clean facility.
I visited The Neighborhood of Somerset and it's very good. I looked at their extended assisted living. The staff is very pleasant. I could say that they were very caring and involved with the residents. The room was laid out very well with a living area and a restroom. The bathroom was very accessible and everything was on one level. The shower was very good, you could easily get in and out.
We toured The Neighborhood of Somerset. We saw both the assisted living and the skilled nursing too. We weren't sure which we were looking for that's why we toured both, and we talked to the lady about it to see what category our cousin would fall into. It looked excellent and smelled excellent. There were no bad odors, like you typically find in nursing homes. There was a really nice dining room and a nice activities room. They also have several areas where they can sit and visit with friends or family, have a card game, or drink a cup of tea. There were places outside of their rooms where they can go to relax. It had a nice barber shop, beauty salon, and nice activities calendar. They had mailboxes, which you don't always see in other places. They can have the private mailbox. It just looked like it was very efficient, very clean, and very well run. All of the employees had a blue shirt that identified them, and they looked to have plenty of help. We had an interaction with two or three of them.
The community was nice with friendly staff. The price was the drawback for us. [Name Removed] was very friendly and offered to help us in anyway.
We have found The Neighborhood of Somerset for my mother. My mother knew the two people that were directors there, plus she had five or six of her buddies that were staying there so she chose that one. She seems to like her room. She is by herself, she doesn't want a large room. She wanted something just kinda a little smaller. She seems to like the food. She told me how good it is, and that they're always bringing her orders she can eat. She is pretty happy with it. She has been there for five to six weeks now. It is a nice place. They have sitting areas outside if they want to go outside. The staff has bent over backwards, they're very helpful. Every time there is a comment, question or issue, they're always in constant contact with me letting me know what the status of things are. They have been quite helpful. They take good care of her, and I'm glad of that. It's a good facility. They got a bunch of activities.
The Neighborhood has been a Godsend to my friend Kimiko. With no family to turn to they took her in with open arms and loving hearts. The staff there is amazing and goes above and beyond to help the residents. Sharon Reynolds who runs the neighborhood gives 110% of herself every single day. She is always there to help and support residents as well as family members. She is a true Saint!
The Neighborhood is a caring place for your loved one. The attention they receive is individualized. The staff goes beyond and this makes it special for the residents.
My Grandmother currently lives here. The care is absolutely fantastic. It makes me feel comfortable knowing my Grandmother is in good hands. I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.
This facility is small enough to have great care by caring people. The staff has a great team work attitude with great leadership by the adminstrator. Problems are solved in a timely matter and the # one concern is always the residents. My Mom has received great care by great people. She might not know it, but I do.
