The Oaks Assisted Living

The staff does a great job getting to know each resident and caters to their specific needs. They try to accommodate doctor's visits, prescription pick ups and grocery runs. There is a small town family feel about the place.

I was not impressed with the food. Mainly convenience foods that are high in sodium. My dad needed to be on a diabetic low sodium diet and they really couldn't accommodate that.

Small town simple where aides treat occupants as family. Not the feel of corporate facilities. Took immediate interest in my mother and wanted to know her lifestyle habits so they could help her adjust. The food selection is is not good. Healthy selections are not offered often. Often cold. Often too spicy for elderly diets.

Went in for information on a weekend afternoon. Staff was non existent, and when I did get help she was not friendly, or knowledgeable. The only literature provided was a business card, and a post it.

Mom's very happy at The Oaks. The staff is very nice, she has plenty of room, and she actually loves the food. They do activities like arts and crafts, she plays bridge, she puts puzzles together, and they have movies, too. My family is very happy with it.
