Acquaintance · April 2024 The facility would get a 5 for cleanliness. Her apartment would not. The carpet needed to be at least deep cleaned, but really should have been replaced. Neither of those have been done.
The food is brought over from nursing home, and most residents complain about the quality of the food.
Other than those 2 items, it's 5s all around!
Unspecified · November 2023 I have worked over at New Castle Nursing & Rehab for 4 years, 2 of those being a CNA and 2 being an Activities Director. When I go to Twin Oaks for any reason it is always a positive visit. It is always clean, and residents always seem to be happy and enjoying whatever activities they are having for that day.
Staff has always been super nice to me and are always positive about their jobs. The staff always seem to be interacting with the residents and helping them any way they can. I would definitely recommend Twin Oaks for a close family member or a random person off the street. Thank you, guys, for all you do for these wonderful residents! Keep up the good work!

Unspecified · November 2023 I’ve worked as the Administrator for Twin Oaks for just over a year and must say that Leanne Yancey, The Director at Twin Oaks, is the heart of that wonderful place. Under Leanne’s caring heart and wise tutelage, the building has experienced substantial growth in activities offered, capex projects managed and most importantly, happy residents. Leanne has brokered multiple beautification projects while at the building including complete renovations of units, brand new LVT flooring installed and helped orchestrate the opening of the county-renown library for our residents. Leanne will be the first to note, that much of the recent success is due in part from her amazing staff, and charitable organizations like Second Wind Dreams! (Thank you Deb Brocious and company!)

Whether it be a resident needing short term rehab or long term care in our skilled nursing facility, or if we come together for an activity with their residents and ours. Being the Social Worker at NCNR it sincerely shows how much resident and staff love Twin Oaks! I'm happy to be part of such an amazing team!

Love how the two buildings work together for the good of all the residents whether they just need a short term therapy stay or eventually come to nursing home for long term care.

Leanne, community manager, is so well known throughout the community making families feel more at ease with the transition from home to assisted living. It's home away from home at Twin Oaks.

Acquaintance · November 2017 My father has only been at Twin Oaks for about three weeks, but it has been a generally good experience for us so far. It is an older building, but we have found the facility to be very reasonably priced and the staff to be kind caring, and generally wonderful people.
