Reviews
for Wurtland Nursing & Rehabilitation
Great things are happening at Wurtland!
This is one of the worst nursing homes ive ever been inside of. Its sad how down hill they have gone. They were the best back in the day but now they are the worst. I know I'll never put anyone i love in here and for the staff working there some were good but most just don't give a crap about the patients and its honestly so sad. I sure hope none of their loved ones ever get put in there. Who serves cold food 90 percent of the time. Its sad they get paid as much as they do by the residents and they have to eat cold food!
Wonderful staff, the Nurse Prac (Justin) is very knowledgeable and helped me immensely!
Great facility. Awesome nurse practitioner Justin B. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. Highly recommend
Some of the best staff around! Justin the nurse practitioner there really knows how to put his patients first! Highly recommended 👌🏼
Great staff! The nurse nurse practitioner does an amazing job!
The staff at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation—including the nurses, administrators, and the social services director—truly understand their clients’ needs and make every effort to provide the best care possible. They are committed to supporting residents on their journey toward a healthier body and mind.
Lena is the best!
5 stars for this place! The staff there are absolutely wonder and so caring. We couldn't ask for a better DON and ADON! Tabby and Lena are exactly what this place needed.
I tried to get my cousin transferred to a closer home so I can check in on him since we have limited family left and after 2 weeks of trying to get his referral to them, they called him Friday and said he was accepted and would be contacting him the following week. So come Monday they called and said he was denied after getting his & mine & my uncles hopes up that he'd be closer for me to visit. No nursing home should be allowed to do that to a person when they are already feeling alone and depressed. Unacceptable that they are allowed to play with emotions like that.
I have had a few family members in this facility and they have had nothing but great things to say. I really appreciated everything that each staff member did. I would recommend this facility to anyone
One star is too good for this place. I had my brother there for rehab. In the 2 weeks that he was there they never bathe him. They let him fall. Blood pressure dropped rapidly and he passed out. They never called 911 and they let him lay in his stool for over 10 hours at a time. He has sores on him and I went there and had to call 911 to get him help. I would not take a dog to this place so if you love your family, keep them away from this place
My Mother was well taken care of at this facility during her 2 week stay for rehab. The staff is genuine & kind and very supportive.
I was treated exceptionally at this facility. The aides and staff are great!
Amazing care team members that truly care about the residents and their loved ones in this community.
Mother as well as our family received excellent care while there
This facility takes great care of their residents and really puts their heart into the care provided. The environment is clean and they’ve made updates to the building over the years.
My families experience at Wurtland was top notch! Excellent care provided by an excellent team!
Would not recommend. Heartless staff and dirty place.
If I could rate 0 stars, I would. First off I want to say I am AMUSED at the amount of FAKE reviews! They have to be…., I mean, there are either 1 star or 5 star reviews. Seems fishy. Anyways, my grandma, who’s name I will not say for confidentiality, is residing in here. I unfortunately am up late at night looking for a different place for her to stay, because every. single. time, I come to visit her, the aides are short staffed and struggling to keep up with care for their patients, and those nurses are NEVER in my grandma’s room! They are always sitting at the nurse’s station, laughing and talking like they don’t have anything to do. My grandma has ROACHES in her room; I even found one on her bed. I try to do what I can, but giving that I’m a full-time mother of 6, it’s hard to make it there every day. WE PAY TOO MUCH MONEY TO GET SCAMMED LIKE THIS! This place needs to be shut down.
Absolutely terrible facility, I wouldn’t trust most of them to take care of a goldfish let alone my family member.
Friendly staff and caring atmosphere!
I was there Tuesday to see my mother and the nurses up front is unbelievably rude to us and other coworkers. They were saying stuff to their aids out in hallway, if they need corrected fine but don't be little people. Then when I was leaving I heard them saying nasty stuff about them I'm disappointed l. Ps to the female nurses up front plz don't think your better than your aidss.
The Director of Nursing is very attentive and involved in the care of the residents! She is very approachable and listens to concerns. The staff is caring and treats the residents very well!
Their facility is one of the finest in nursing home and health care in the area. Their staff are caring and loving of your loved ones. They do their best to treat their residents like family, as some have none. The care from the staff and workers are warming and heartfelt for the elderly and sick. They take pride in their facility and care. An amazing place for your health care needs!!! đź’•
Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of activities to keep residents busy. The local school FFA frequents the facility with flowers to decorate the outside and bring animals for the residents to enjoy!
Caring staff that does an awesome job!
Very nice and clean facility. The staff is awesome and caring to the residents. If I had to send a family member into a nursing home Wurtland would be my first choice. Family friendly atmosphere!
The staff has always been so willing to help and goes above and beyond!
Caring and attentive staff.
Very caring and helpful staff!
Great experience, Amazing staff!
The employees are extremely nice and caring for their patients. They treat each of them like their own family! The facility is also clean, which is soemthing I also take note of when visiting nursing homes.
Great caring staff!
Amazing team that provides the best care!
Love our residents and care team members!
The head nurse at her tea was fantastic. She was pretty cool.
Avoid at all cost! Damage done from bed sores and overmedicating is more than enough to qualify as elder abuse.
My family told nursing over and over we thought my grandmother had a UTI. They wouldn’t do a urinalysis and when we finally convinced them, she was in kidney failure. Took her to hospital and won’t be bringing her back here. WE are the only advocates for our family members in these places. Never stop advocating for them. I had high hopes since they’re “under new management.” If this is considered better, I hate to see what it was like prior.
Worst place ever. The nurses are awesome but way too few. So you have to beg nursing aids to get off their phones to get blankets for residents and the most simple of tasks. I listened to one woman ask 5 times to get out of bed to get dinner. Everyone gave her the run around. So sad that you can't get enough help or the ones left don't care.
It sucks. They don't do their job there. They need to be shut down and the patients need to be moved to a better nursing home
My dad fell and broke his tail bone. He was 83 years old. He went to the hospital they sent him to a nursing/rehab. place to get him able to walk again with a walker or cane. This place they sent him to worked with him for 6 weeks. Then said he would never be able to walk with a walker or cane. The way our house is made dad really needed to be able to use a walker or cane in order to come home. Otherwise he would of had to of gone to a nursing home to live. I decided to try a different nursing/rehab home to see if they could help him. He was there for only 4 weeks and was walking with a cane. I can't say enough about the care the Wurtland nursing home gave to my dad while there. Had they not taken him in and worked with him he would not have been able to come home plus, they had no long term care beds available at that time so, the one place I could of put him was not a very nice place and I really didn't want to put dad in that other nursing home. Wurtland just took a chance on dad and worked a miracle on him. It is a small nursing home but, their rehab is much better than the first place the hospital sent dad to and that one was one of the newest nursing homes in our area and said to be the best. Well, I know that is not true. Wurtland is the best as far as I am concerned. This was two years ago and my dad has since passed away. But, they gave him a little more quality of live time by teaching him to walk and allowing him to get to come home to die. I really thank them for that.
