Reviews
for Berea Health & Rehabilitation
Place was nice and clean but the aides there were rude and hateful!
maryann is an awful person
First thing I want to say is thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing my uncle Artie for the month that he was there the compassion and the love and the trust the whole staff including the administration was awesome I would highly recommend this place to anybody for their family member always clean always somebody there to answer questions my uncle was taking care of very well there his care was their number one priority the whole staff kept me well informed on his care and updated me all the time thank you again from the bottom of my heart for giving my uncle the last month of his life a place to be to be at peace and to be treated with compassion I would truly highly recommend this place for anybody's family member thank you again from the bottom of my heart ❤️❤️
My dad was here for rehab for 3 weeks earlier this year. While there they continuously gave him the wrong diet, he needed gallbladder surgery and could not eat fatty foods yet they would serve him these things even after we told them multiple times, it was in his orders. He couldn’t feed himself so I guess since he did not have assistance eating it didn’t matter what they served him anyway! He would have dirty clothes from spilling things when he tried to drink on how own. Old dried coffee on his tshirt. After being released, when he maxed his time from insurance, home health and PT came 2x weekly to my parents home. I was amazed by the improvement he made and wish he would have just went home initially. This is your worst nightmare of a nursing home. There are some caring nurses and CNAs but most are not. Former coworkers of my dads had family there and checked on and cared for him better than the staff. I’m thankful for them. If anyway possible and you or a loved one needs rehab or long term care go elsewhere. I feel for those without family visiting regularly and advocating for them.
This place is far from suitable for those needing care, particularly the elderly. The staff provides minimal assistance, if any, and shows little concern for the well-being of their patients. I wouldn't suggest placing your loved ones in this home.
Demonic spirits run that place ! I was treated terribly! Took my first vacation day got it signed off by my Director and Hr who we went and asked if the administrator needed to be asked first and she said no so came back next day and then was told that the administrator said I should have never been able to take that day and HR doesn't know how to do her job correctly obviously and then said I wouldnt get paid and started yelling at me and trying to turn it around on me when I pointed out she had told me it was ok and that wasn't it her job to know these things beforehand ? Tried to stay for the residents but when God said no more I decided my peace was worth more than the abuse I suffered daily from those who care nothing about these residents but only protecting themselves! who lie and try to turn everything around on you when you question their behavior! Most of the real workers are fantastic some are not snakes in the grass ! This place Needs new management and someone who knows how to lead and care for the residents and workers and not just about themselves and management.! Your peace is not worth this place. And I pray for the residents who have to miss the good workers because no one can stand the abuse from this place.
My mother is in Berea Health Care Center. The staff is friendly. It's clean. It's a smaller facility, which I like. They have a variety of activities regularly.
Absolutely no care for patients. My sister's mother-in-law has been a patient for over a year and has been completely neglected. They are supposed to be a rehabilitation center and she actually broke her hip in their care. She is left unattended for 6 hours and finally helped to the bathroom. I would not take a loved one to this establishment.
Cindy Hollis is a Awesome Administrator she deserves a raise.. she came in and really started making some changes for the better been here as a resident for almost 4 years now and the staff had changed through the time here, but they always show compassion to us! No place is going to be perfect, They are really trying their best to make sure that we as Residents feel at home.
Excellent administrator and staff. Highly recommend this facility for any of your needs.
All the staff try and work together to create a humble atmosphere for the residents!
I personally love the facility they are good with the residents and they love and care about them
My home away from home for 13 years! Love the residents and staff! Very caring team
Great staff to be around!
Very clean facility, staff are friendly they try to go above and beyond to help you and others, and the residents too!
Caring and compassionate nursing team. The interdisciplinary staff also go above and beyond to keep the residents happy! A great management team that work hard to keep all staff and residents happy to work together to improve care daily.
Good place to wrk
Very caring and wonderful staff. They go above and beyond each and everyday to care for residents.
Very clean facility and friendly staff!
Cares more about money than they do their staff.
Wonderful facility with dedicated and compassionate staff! Highly recommend!
As a travel nurse I have experienced plenty of facilities. This one by far exceeds expectations!! I worked there on a travel COVID assignment and was impressed by their ability to protect their non positive patients as well as take care of the ones who were positive. They always have plenty of PPE to keep staff safe as well as provide an excellent level of service to their patients. The facility is also clean and well cared for. From management to the floor staff everyone you can tell they take pride in the level of service they provide. Highly recommend.
I just want to say thank you to Berea health care and their organization for helping transition my sister Charlotte from Tennessee to berea. She is very appreciative and said they are providing great care.
If we didn’t go in several times a day wouldn’t know if she was ever cared for staff is severely lacking!!
I just want to thank everyone here for their kindness, respect, and compassion. We recently had a family memeber pass away who spent the majority of her care at another nursing home, which does not compare to Berea Health & Rehab. I wish she was able to receive all of her care from you guys. There is no doubt in my mind that she received nothing but the best care here.
I've had my father on the waiting list for months. Beds open and the admissions department refuses to call me back. Then a week or more later I finally get her on the phone to tell me they have no bed available. The young lady that answered the phone knew me by name. But the admission coordinator acted like she never heard of me. It's sad when someone gets a denial for palliative and hospice care. Esp a Vietnam veteran and retired state trooper that served this country so long. Now I'm stuck finding a place close for him to peacefully pass away. The biggest issue with these nursing homes is the politics in management. Or reimbursement ratio to the for profit facilities. Just Sad to me.
Commpasionate care.
Wonderful staff Loving residents
Berra Health Care Center staff worked very closely with my family when my mother needed respite care. She is a very particular lady, but it did not seem to bother the staff. The center has been offering services for nearly 30 years, and it really shows. You can tell that the staff are experienced and educated in making people feel comfortable and welcome, as well as providing the vital medical care that they need. One of the recreational programs that they offer is an on site beauty parlor that my mother really enjoyed. She became a frequent visitor and it really helped keep her spirits up, plus it was a great way for her to meet new people and get involved with some of the other ladies staying at the center. Berea Health Care Center works very hard to make sure that their residents are happy and receiving the care that they need.
