We toured Massey Springs. They had 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms. As you went out the door, it had a closed patio or porch side where you could sit. They had a place where it was safe to walk around. They seemed to have some activities. The place was nice and clean. It did not have any smells. We liked it, but we didn't have a good feeling about it, like we did with the other place. The person who took us around was nice, but not as personable or accommodating.
Massey Springs was a wonderful experience for my mom during her stay. Great staff. Would highly recommend!
Unspecified · September 2015 Have two different friends that are there and they enjoyed being with the people they know. They seems to enjoy the food and feel safe in the building.
I have been involved with Leigh Mooneyhan and the staff at Massey Springs for the last couple of years. In my opinion you would not find a better community and staff to care for an aged loved one.
I have moved my mother from the Villas at Massey Springs, to the Senior Living housing, to home with me, to back at Massey Springs. While I was trying to please my mother, it was Judy Ferrell that helped me understand and recognize my mother's need for stability and consistency, which of course are provided every minute of every day at Massey Springs. Judy has been involved with all aspects of dealing with the dementia and confusion aged parents sometimes suffer from. To this day, I can go to Judy with a question, concern or just call and see how things are and she is always readily available to help.
Kathy Greene is available as support person and activities at Massey Springs. Her genuine concern and love of the folks that live at Massey is amazing. She does her best each day to see that all are involved and active and participating in planned events. Kathy is open to suggestions and ideas for events and activities and is always searching for an idea or newsworthy event to invite all to participate in a discussion.
Leigh has been available to me through all the financial and realistic aspects of making such a move. She even had my Mother's villa repainted to her favorite color! It was newly painted no one had lived there prior, but that was what my mother wanted and Leigh made it happen. Her knowledge of this business and her ability to personalize the move was so reassuring. All my questions and concerns were addressed and solved to my satisfaction thanks to Leigh.
No one wants to move an aged parent out of the comfort of their own home, but when we all realize that such a move is necessary you will not find a better place for them to live next than Massey Springs Senior living community.
I highly endorse and recommend Massey Springs. Bowling Green. Kentucky if you are looking for a loving, stable environment for your aged parent to live next.

Unspecified · February 2015 My mother spent many years at Massey Springs and loved every minute of the experience. The staff and management were always professional and ready to help. They would call us to let us know of changes in my mom no matter how small. She was always treated with respect and attended to in a timely matter.
The building and grounds were very well keep and clean. There were always decorations for each holiday and they seem to go all out.
We would visit my mom at all different times of the day and night. There was always someone there ready to answer questions or help out if needed.
I could go on and on about Massey Springs and how great it is. The bottom line is when my time comes this is where I want to go.
Unspecified · January 2015 This is the best assisted living facility in Bowling Green. My mother and father live there. They have been there for about a year.My mother needs extensive care which they provide. The employees are professional, personal, and caring. They notice potential problems and are always helpful. The facility is bright and cheery. My parents love the food!
Unspecified · September 2014 I have often told staff, "I want to live here when the time comes, please save me a room". I visit nearly every week, different times of the day/different days of the week, my brother visits two or three times most every week. My 96 year old mother is a resident since January 2014. We were greeted and helped so very much in the beginning process by Judy F. Judy recognized that this transition time was very stressful for our entire family, especially my mother. She worked with us and Mom to make it possible to choose the very best place for her, Massey Springs. We could not be more pleased with the care my mother receives. Her room always, always is clean, neat and always fresh. Attention is paid to Mom regarding safety issues and she always has her alert necklace around her neck ( which she really doesn't want to wear, however, it is obvious someone reminds her of the need to do so). She is cared for with sweetness, concern and compassion by all staff. The staff is always friendly to me, helpful and willing to discuss any issues arising for my Mom. Meals are terrific, often served with homemade items such as bread and deserts. I must especially praise Kathy the Activities Director! She approaches the residents as if they are her own family. Kathy provides a great variety of activities that meet the specific and unique desires and needs of the residents, understanding that one size does not fit all. She is warm and affectionate with residents, knowing that often older folks are lonely or have outlived many of there friends or close relatives and lost their past active lifestyles. I would recommend Massey Springs to anyone and I truly thank God for the blessings our family has received through our association here.
When my husband passed away, I moved to Bowling Green to be close to my one and only child. They have retired and they're going to be to Iowa because that's where my daughter in-law came from. I am just confused as to what to do right now, whether to stay here in Bowling Green or to be in Iowa. I still went to visit Massey's Springs and I find it very nice. The only problem is it's a little more than my monthly income. Everything there was very nice. It's a new facility but I was just a little surprised with their rooms since they looked small. I was not able to eat there but I heard that it's very good. The residents get 3 meals a day.
