Reviews
for Bradford Square
This place is BEYOND disgusting. I went to visit my grandparent last weekend & let’s just say.. I feel sad for ANY elderly person whom is place here, I would not wish this place upon my worst enemy in their last days. It’s so bad that I’ve decided to take my grandma & have her live with me (while also raising an autistic toddler.) It’s gonna be a lot of work but I’d do ANYTHING over having her in this place.
My mother is currently there for therapy and is now able to walk with a walker and sometimes without. The therapy dept is outstanding. The bldg is currently undergoing updates and has improved after another company took it over in 2024. The nurses and CNA staff treat my mother like she is family to them and she loves interacting with them as well. I can rest assured knowing she is in very capable, competent and caring hands. The nurses and CNA staff have all made my mother feel safe and well cared and that’s important to our family. The staff from the front office Administrative , Housekeeping and Dining Hall are so kind and welcoming. The bldg might not be in the best shape for now but like I said they are making improvements and things are getting better. If you have a problem the Administrator and Director of Nursing are always willing to listen and address issues.
The staff are very friendly and compassionate to the residents.
Dad moved to Bradford Square and he is happy there. They're taking good care of him. They have nice and clean facilities. They have a room where they can all go and be together to play games and stuff like that. In their rooms, they have their TV and restroom. The food is healthy. They are a little short-staffed, but the staff that I have met has been very friendly and helpful. They're a little expensive.
This place is disgusting. If you send a loved one here, you obviously hate them and want them to die. The only capable people seem to be the respiratory and therapy staff.
One star represents the staff that still care about the residents. My family member contracted an infections disease due to lack of grooming at Bradford Square. No one was notified of his condition.
I was told several negative and concerning things about a family member’s well-being today. I called the facility and spoke with a staff member named Jeannie who was unbelievably rude when I asked about my family member. She would not allow me to speak, speaking over me every time I tried to voice my concerns. Because she continuously interrupted instead of following the normal patterns of telephone courtesy she repeatedly misstated what I was asking. When I tried to clarify my concerns, she became defensive and condescending. This person was so rude it was stunning. Why would they allow her to represent them? If she responds to a politely stated question this way it’s concerning to consider how she may treat patients who do not have the power to end the call.
There is so much wrong with this place. There are a few decent staff members. Most of them have been there so long and are so overworked that they forget that these patients LIVE THERE. The condition of the building is absolutely horrible. They need to remodel. They recently had a flood. My mother was there and was not well taken care of. Horrible staff members that scared her and treated her like she was less than human. The DoN and Social Work director seemed to try to help but was overruled by the facility administrator. This place absolutely must be shut down. Paper charts are kept to where anyone walking through the facility can see them. Computers on med carts not locked. Power outlets arc when plugged in. They will not have necessary equipment or medications present when your loved one arrives. There is mold, peeling old paint in rooms, frayed call button cords and so much more. DO NOT SEND PEOPLE HERE.
I've had a pretty good experience with Bradford Square. The staff is pretty nice. They just don't have enough help here, but they work their tails off (and no health care facility has enough help nowadays). We only got two maids for the whole joint, but other than that, they do a good job for all they have to do. The food is pretty good. They play bingo just about every day, and go on trips to Walmart or wherever. Right now, they're redoing the whole place, so they've cut down on a lot of the activities, but they still have quite a few. There's two beds in my room, so it's kind of tough to manipulate around.
I was there for rehab all I can say is the physical therapy lady shelly is an awesome lady she obviously loves her job an helping people get better the other physical therapist are good to but I mainly had shelly as far as the nursing staff I had no issues with them but one nurse named Melissa she is very very rude an shouldn't work in the health field other than that it was a nice place to stay at also got to mention bree an georgina they are awesome
the therapy was the best thing there. Of course there was 1 bad nurse with an attitude and a therapist there was a bully. The food was so bad that I wouldn't feed it to a dog!! Had to wait for the nurses aids to decide to get to you to help. I have waited over 30 minutes.
My mother who has dementia has been living there for 3 years. The staff is hardworking and as attentive as possible in spite of the apparent lack of onsite administrative personnel. I find staff to be courteous and eager to help solve issues. At the end of the day, it is still a nursing home with typical nursing home issues. My mother is happy and cared for, so that's the most important thing.
Took care of my sister in her time of need. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
There's a urine smell in the whole building. Staff is over worked and RESIDENTS NOT GETTING BRIEFS CHANGED WITH BED SORES AS A RESULT.
Please put your loved one else where. Understaffed and negligent.
Low rating is for the overall experience with Bradford Sq. The nurses and rehab staff deserve five stars because the are hard working and kind. However, they are overworked and I’m sure under paid. You are expected to know the facilities’ policies that are not in writing or discussed. There is not enough staff to change residents’ briefs timely. There is also no grooming services, I don’t understand how COVID would affect grooming, I would think cutting nails, hair and beards would just be good hygiene required by Medicare/Medicaid. Also, parking is aways an issue, a lot of times visitors have to park at the government building next door. I understand the building is old but I think more could be done with the overall upkeep of the facility. Unfortunately, there is not of local nursing home choices for Medicare/Medicaid individuals.
My brother-in-law is there for rehab. No air conditioning in room. This is ridiculous, unable to open door or window due to himvtesting positive for Covid.
My mother-in-law was there for rehab to get her walking again after a hospital stay. She is 78 and needs to be able to do certain things in order to move in to assisted living. She laid in her bed for 5 days after admission before they got her moving! That is completely unacceptable! The place also stinks throughout, which indicates a huge issue. She has since been moved to a different facility!
Awesome group of people to work with who truly care about the residents!!
Frankfort's first choice for rehabilitation and LTC.
My mother was there for three weeks. She was well taken care of, clean, well fed, and medication was administered well. Staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. The front office worked with me regarding payments. The nurses were very responsive to my mother's needs and communicated with me promptly about any difficulties. And a special thank you to Sally Johnson, the social worker. She was very patient with me and my million questions, and was able to locate a wheelchair for my mother prior to discharge. They are doing a great job in a very difficult situation. If Lester is there, ask him to sing you a song!
My dad was at Bradford square for several months before he passed away. The office staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything he needed was taken care of. The nursing staff was so patient and loving toward him. He was not an easy person to take care of, and they made it look easy. He had dementia and was very confused at times. They comforted and made him feel safe. The night that he passed, the nurse stayed right there with us and made sure he was comforted. Thank you Janie Cunningham for taking care of daddy just like he was a part of your family. Love you all and thank you!
The staff at Bradford Square are utterly amazing. They are caring, kind and knowledgeable. They treat each resident as family. We couldn’t be happier with all the service they provided. I highly recommend them.
My grandmother has had the best service and care by the staff at Bradford. Sadly she passed away today, but I learned that the staff stayed with her through the night to make sure she didn’t pass away or suffer before we got there. They have the best food and the best care! Thank you Bradford staff and Dr Quarles for taking care of Dodo especially when we couldn’t be there!! ❤️
I had to spend 7 days in rehab in November 2018 and received excellent attention and care from the administrative , nursing and overall staff. Food was very, very good. I strongly recommend Bradford Square!
My father and grandfather received excellent care during their separate stays at Bradford Square. The care and devotion of the nurses and staff were not just like any other facility but they felt like family. My father spent his last days surrounded by a team of people who put his comfort before all else. I could not recommend the facility more highly. Truly one of the best in central ky.
Several of my family members have been cared for at Bradford Square. The staff is professional and friendly, and I had no doubts that my loved ones were in good hands.
My grandmother, great grandmother and multiple family friends have lived at Bradford square at separate times. The nursing staff are compassionate and caring treating my loved ones as if they were their own family. I’ve had family in other nursing homes in and around Frankfort and trust me nothing compares to the care and love they received while there. I’ve watched their interactions with the patients and it’s just so warm and welcoming. If you want your family or family friends cared for , Bradford is the best.
Over the past 10 years I've had many family members stay at Bradford Square. Every one of them had a good experience and enjoyed their stay and their care. It's good to have Bradford Square in our home town to support our aging family members. Thank you
My father was a resident at Bradford Square for just under 5 years. He was always very well attended and I NEVER worried about him. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would have not lived as long as he did had it not been for the care he received while at Bradford.
I spent a year at Bradford after the hospital had washed it's hands of me. I was supposed to die but here I am writing reviews. I couldn't have done it with out them and when it was time to leave the staff went above and beyond to help me get situated back in the real world.
The staff goes out of their way to plan special events and make their residents feel at home.
Great facility with caring & knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!
Has a lovely woman Amanda Jones who has a heart of gold
Bradford square is an excellent place that takes great care of your family. Clean and exceptionally great to the residents.
My Uncle has been at Bradford Square for several months now and he has been well taken care of! I also have a couple of relatives who currently work there and I can honestly say they are some of the most caring and hardworking people I know. They definitely put their hearts into their work!! Keep up the good work Bradford Square!! Frankfort needs to know that they have a quality healthcare facility for it's seniors!
Great place!! They took great care of my family member. The place was always clean and everyone treated us great.
Clean facility and excellent staff. Residents treated like family.
Very nice place
Exceptional facility and staff.
I visit often. Residents I speak with have no major complaints. Staff is always helpful and friendly.
Bradford square and their staff took wonderful care of my father while he was a resident there for therapy for over a month. The nurses were very understanding and caring for not only my dad but the others I came to know while he was there. The doctor and nurse practitioners are very knowledgeable and very involved along with the nurses and CNAs. The CNAs went above and beyond to make my dad feel “at home”, they were all so very sweet and kind to him and all of our family that came in to visit. I highly recommend this facility and it’s staff. The building might not be the most beautiful on the outside but the staff sure makes up for it on the inside.
The building is run down, the entrance and lobby smells like urine and feces, and I seriously doubt they take good care of the residents. My father came in with a small diaper rash, after 2 weeks the rash had spread down his legs and his skin was peeling. Based on that and the laundry we brought home, we think they let him sit in his filth for hours at a time. Within 3 days of moving him to a new facility his rash was gone. Bradford Square told us they were putting medicated cream on my father, but I highly doubt that was true since it only took the new facility 3 days to clear the rash with cream.
THE PLACE IS DECENT ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE TO LEAVE THEIR FAMILY FOR REHABILITATION AND LONG-TERM CARE IF THEY NEED IT
If you have a loved one here, visit them regularly.
If I could give zero stars I would worst place in the world.they neglected my grandmother who was moved to another place thank god we got her out of that hell hole.their nurses set in patients rooms on their phone on Facebook or playing games she has a feeding tube which got infected and backed up sevral times she had to be taking to the hospital serial times she was always dehydrated her teeth have now completely rotten because she never got dental hygiene.she always had scratch marks and bruises on her this place is terrible (PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE) the nurses are DISRESPECTFUL the older nurses were the ones doing their jobs and telling families everything and they got rid of them....
They do not work with you at all and harrass you too over the phone did not feel safe with my friends mom being here at all
This facility was such a disappointment in all aspects. My loved one died in the facility , not due to the facilities negligence(I hope), but the conditions were horrid and undignified. There were several issues with missing personal property, and the cost was very high for the conditions of the building and rooms. The facility smells and the workers show little compassion toward the residents. I would never put a loved one in this facility, nor would I ever want to be a resident.
