I toured Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It seemed very well organized. The staff I met were friendly, and it was very clean. They had enough activities to keep my father active, which is important for him. It was a good facility. It was very spacious and had easy access for wheelchairs.

This facility hosted an egg hunt. They provided a lunch and had prizes. This facility was very welcoming. Thank you everyone who helped this Easter be great.

My mother , Bobbie, has been at Bridgepointe for 6 months. She had to moved suddenly after being totally independent and this was very difficult for her and our family. The wonderful staff at Bridgepointe made this difficult transition so much easier. My mother feels safe and cared for and our family is at complete peace with our decision to move her to Bridgepointe. This is a Christian community and these staffers live out their walk with the Lord. Denise, Ronica and Brandi and all of the aides have been so very kind and helpful and ALWAYS available . Many of my friends parents or loved ones have resided at Bridgepointe in the past and all recommended my mother moving here. Highly recommend .

If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with dignity and cared for with love, Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods is the place to look. My Mom has been a resident there for an extended period of time now and she has always been treated with kindness by staff who are well trained and caring. And, the apartments are very roomy, making it easy to arrange an at-home atmosphere with the resident’s own belongings. I looked at a number of other places, and nothing else I saw even came close. If your loved one is unable to live on their own, Bridgepointe is the place for them!

We signed a contract with Bridgepointe on 7/2/24 to have my mother placed in the memory care unit and she passed away on 7/6/24. Consequently, I can’t say what the level of care was provided during that time and certainly would not say that the care was associated with her death. In fact, we appreciated that they would admit her considering her condition. However, the contract called for a prorated refund in the event of death and we have yet to receive it. Furthermore, I have left numerous messages with the billing department to inquire about the status of the refund and have not even received a response. Considering Christian Care Communities portrays themselves as a faith-inspired, non-profit organization, I consider their lack of response and failure to remit a refund in a timely fashion to be unacceptable and to constitute a breach of contract. It appears that others have had the same issue. As an attorney, I feel I may have no choice but to file a lawsuit against the organization and potentially seek to have their non-profit status revoked since it appears that making a profit may be one of their primary goals!

They were a slightly above average facility but there were some very special caregivers there. Safety from falls were the biggest area that they were weak in. Food was a lot of carbs with gravy and scrambled eggs not done. More variety and if resident isn't eating food offer other options. [name removed] lost a lot of weight because she didn't like the food and and wasn't always offered other options). Activities on calendar were fine but not always done and participation was low. Overall I think Bridgepointe does a pretty good job in a very difficult memory care population.

I was able to visit Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. The problem is the memory care there is $6000 a month, and that's way beyond our budget. The staff was wonderful and very professional. They were aware of the need for one of the staff to talk to me alone and another staff member came and took my wife to show her another part of the facility, which was great and I could answer a couple of questions in confidentiality there. I enjoyed it. They know what they're doing. The place was impeccable and very well organized. It was fun seeing the ladies in their carts going up and down the halls and whatever. It's a first-class organization.

Acquaintance · May 2024

There were not as many activities offered in memory care as in other places she was at.

I have been so impressed with how Bridgepointe shows such dignity and respect for the folks living there. It is also the cleanest senior care building i've ever visited .

When it comes to the meals and dining service, our loved one complains that the food is bland. It seems they are just fixing things like the school cafeteria. I wish it had more of a restaurant flare spices and herbs. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

My uncle is on a waiting list at Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It was a very beautiful place, and the employees seemed like they were caring and concerned about others. From what I understand and from talking to the other people who are living there, the apartments are very pleasant, wonderful, and warm. I had seen their cafeteria, their eating areas, and the outside. It's a really warm place, and they offer all levels of care. It's very clean.

The place wasn’t a good fit for my brother so he moved out October 5 after paying for the full month. We’ve been promised a refund that would take 30 days to process. It’s now over 60 days without the refund. The accounting department has not returned my numerous phone calls. I’m very frustrated.

I looked at many, many facilities in the area before choosing Bridgepointe to care for my mother. In the year she has been in care there I am assured each and every day that I made the right decision. Every staff member is so well trained and treats each and every resident with care and compassionate kindness, attending their every need. From the moment one steps through the front door the special bond, not only with the residents, but between staff members as well is palpable. It is evident that each and every staff member truly cares about the residents. A true family atmosphere.

Acquaintance · October 2023

Overall pleased with care and communication with us on how the resident is doing. Do not see many activities happening or success in getting resident involved.

My ex-husband will be moving into Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It was clean and very well-kept. It was located in a great area and they were affordable. They offered meals and activities. The staff who assisted us was very accommodating at first, and then kind of dropped the ball afterward. She was good, but she lost my text messages and she didn't know my name. She lost my email and she thought I was somebody else. It was very confusing. And then it turned out to be OK. I know the rest of the community was on top of it, but this particular person that was in charge of helping us get the room was a little bit inexperienced or unknowledgeable. The community was great, but I don't think she defines everything about that facility.

Unspecified · August 2023

The entire staff is absolutely awesome at Bridgepointe. I rate them a"10" out of 5!! YES a "10" out of 5!!! Ronica/Brandi are professional, knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Talking to them is like talking to "FAMILY"!!! Our Brother who is normally a loner loves living at Bridgepointe. He talks and smiles more than we've ever seen him do. Their facility is very clean and ran efficiently . We definitively made the right choice out of the many senior assisted living options we had available to us.

Unspecified · August 2023

The rooms are spacious with ease of moving around. The staff are courteous and welcoming. My brother has not participated in activities. I’m still hoping he will. He’s had some interaction with other residents. He seems to be content here. He’s only been there 30 days so he’s just getting used to the facility. The food appears to be good. He is a very picky eater and they have options to accommodate his limited palate.

My mother is a resident of the memory care unit at Bridgepointe. She has been there for about two months and my family and I are so pleased with the care she receives. All of the staff are so patient and kind. I have noticed that every employee knows each residents' name, and that all of their interactions are filled with compassion. Alzheimers is a wicked disease, but my mom seems more of her "old" self since moving there. She is more alert and active than she was before moving to Bridgepointe. She enjoys the staff and the other residents, and they talk and laugh together. It is comforting to know that she is well taken care of, and my family has been able to rest knowing that she is getting the around the clock care that we were struggling to provide at home. I believe the socialization that she has at Bridgepointe plays a huge part in her renewed quality of life. She participates in the fun activities they have, and it is wonderful to see her laughing and interacting with the people there. We toured several facilities before choosing Bridgepointe and we have been so pleased with our choice.

Unspecified · May 2023

My father who has Alzheimer’s was at Bridgepointe in the memory care unit for 20 months. The facility is very nice inside and out. It is very close to my house and I liked having him there so I could see him often. But I feel like a fool now for leaving him there that long. I did not feel like I could leave him there and he would be taken care of unless I had a sitter with him. They seem to be way understaffed. They have about 40 residents in the memory care unit and most nights I might see only 2 or 3 people watching them all. It was not uncommon to walk the halls for 15-20 minutes just trying to find a nurse or aid if I needed something. We paid for sitters for 16-18 hours a day to make sure he was getting the care he needed. My sitters and I saw lots of concerning things regarding lack of care for my dad and also other residents. We had MULTIPLE incidents that had to be reported to the KY Office of Inspector General. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease and the strain it puts on families is also very tough. It makes it so much tougher on families when they cannot feel that their loved one is in a safe place that is taking good care of them. I cannot honestly recommend putting your loved one here after what we went through. My dad is in another nursing home facility now.

Acquaintance · April 2023

Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods is beautiful when you come through the front doors, but behind closed doors it's a whole different place. I would rate the Care at a zero, if that was an option. They allowed my loved one to be saturated in urine. The whole floor in his bathroom would stick to your feet because of all the old urine on the floor where he wasn't able to go to the bathroom anymore. The smell would knock you down. No one helped him and they didn't put Depends on him. His feces was on the floor, his shoes, and his walker. I had to tell the nurses, nothing was done. I told the supervisor, nothing. Then told the main lady. They shampooed his carpet and cleaned his bathroom, but in a few days it happened again. My loved one had Dementia- they knocked on his door and said supper is ready and left. My loved one was confused and did not know how to get to the dining area! I was furious! They never groomed him. I had to clip his nails, help him brush his teeth, etc . He was in Memory Care. He was having chest pains and they never had him checked out. I had to demand it numerous times and it took several hours that day just to get them to call for an ambulance for him to go to the VA for evaluation. The nurse at the VA would not put his clothes or shoes back on - she said they were saturated with urine....even his shoes! My loved one did not return to Bridgepointe.

My mother in law was happy while a resident at Bridgepointe. She never had a bad thing to say about any of the staff. Even a couple of the aids came to visit her at hospital before her passing. Every resident that we came to know seemed to while she was there seemed to be very happy. Overall experience was good.

Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods miscommunicated with me before my tour. They said they had several one-bedrooms available for independent living, and that's what I was interested in. When I went to take the tour and talked to the lady in charge, she pointed out that there were only two one-bedroom apartments for independent living. There was a waiting list of more than two dozen people to get these two units. I was pretty upset with the miscommunication. She wanted to show me one of the studios that was available in the assisted living. It was very nice, very clean, and very bright. The shower was almost as big as the entire studio, and they have very safe shower facilities. I was pleased with that, but it was very small living quarters. Their amenities were OK. It wasn't anything outstanding. They offered a regular menu of daily activities, about three or four things a day. Then they have chapel services. It was a religiously affiliated compound. They had a small exercise room and a bistro/cafe style for late night snacks. The menu looked appetizing. You have more than one choice for entrees and so forth. The grounds were nice outside, too. They had big community areas for functions/games. Overall, the community layout was well thought. The lady I talked to was pleasant. It's a fairly new building. It was nice and clean. You could tell that it was recently constructed.

My mother has been at Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods for a little over a week now and it's been going pretty well. We've been very pleased, she's had a really good week. The staff is very, very hands-on with her care. Even some of the administrators are down there helping out and feeding the people. We've just been very pleased with everything we've seen so far and she's adjusted very well to it. She is there for memory care and I would say the security is very high. It's behind locked doors and when you get there, someone walks back with you and lets you in, and then someone will walk to the door and let you out. They make sure the residents stay safe there, and the way it's designed, you're never too far away from help. They have different kitchen areas throughout the memory care so that you're always eating in small groups and you're always really close to where you need to be. I think they do a really good job on that. They're still kind of getting into the activities and kind of figuring that out but they have activities every day, we've been to a couple, and they've been good. It's a very new building and everything is just immaculate and beautiful. It's less expensive than many of the other options we looked at, but we're very pleased with what we're getting for it.

Unspecified · March 2022

I went to Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. The area itself is tucked back a little ways from the major thoroughfare, so there's not a whole lot of traffic there, which is very nice. The building itself was fairly new. The areas were nice, open, and bright. We saw the food menu. It's not as varied as the others, but it's still very nice. We talked to a couple of staff members and they were very polite. We saw several residents as well, and they seemed to be very happy. They would wave when my mom would wave, and they would say hello, so that was pleasant. We only saw a studio setting. I think they have other apartments there, but the studio was a lot smaller than I would expect. There's not much to it, not very many frills, but each has a bedroom, a little sitting area, and your standard bathroom, and a little kitchenette. My mom liked it, but personally, after seeing other really nice apartments, that's a bit shocking. All the open areas where residents can mingle and socialize were clean, bright, and very open, which I really, really like. Everybody's been very pleasant.

Unspecified · March 2022

Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods was a beautiful facility. Everybody was nice. We were not there long because it was not a place for my uncle. It just wasn't the facility that could handle him. They just didn't have what it takes to care for him. They could care for him OK, but he needed extra care and they couldn't provide that. But it's a very beautiful facility, and I would recommend it for anybody else, but just not for him. The room was beautiful. It had enough room for himself. He had a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice and well-kept. It's a very, very nice facility, and it's in a nice location. Everybody was very attentive, very nice, and very knowledgeable. They know their job. I can't say anything against them. It was assisted with personal care. I know they have an exercise room, a library, and a chapel. The whole facility was beautiful. However, he wasn't there long enough to do activities. The food was very good. They were one of the cheaper places that we looked at in the area.

Just wanted to take a moment to commend the entire staff at Bridgepointe. We visited other communities in and around Lexington, and felt that Bridgepointe was the right place for our loved one as soon as we walked through the doors. The facility is so nice, the communal areas are “just like home” and the Memory Care rooms are perfect! We’ve been able to relax and trust that the very best of care is being given. Thank you, everyone at Bridgepointe!!

This not the place you want to send a love one... If you do get a irrevocable power of attorney and register it at the courthouse...they meddle in your marriage and finances. Not a nice place...

I am a caregiver with Visiting Angels and sit with one of the residents at Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods so I have the opportunity families don’t have to observe day to day care, attitudes and treatment by the facility staff. I can honestly say this is an amazing place with excellent staff. I would have no reservations at all recommending this place. The staff are caring, compassionate, kind and competent. The facility is a nice, clean, beautiful place.

When I visited Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods, the lady that did the tour was very nice. We just couldn't have asked for better people. It was very nice and very clean, and the people were very friendly. So that was it, everything's fine. The staff, she kind of managed the place; I think she was very good. She's just very nice, they would give me the answers to everything I asked. They were ready with an answer and were very efficient. It's very clean and neat, and well maintained. It's fairly new, so they certainly did not have any rundown appearance at all. They were very, very upscale. It was so nice, clean, and had a friendly feeling; there was nothing amiss. They had a nurse on duty, and they had little tables everywhere, where people could gather and be friendly with each other; that was important.

Bridgepointe at Ashgrove is without question the most efficient and caring nursing home I have been in.. I have watched activities there for over three years.. including day care, memory care and physical disability.. and always been impressed with staff attention to details from facility cleanliness to patient personal care. I would not take my loved one to another place.

Bridgepoint has been an excellent choice of care for my mom in memory care. Even with the challenges of Covid the staff has been very kind and accommodating. I’m thankful for a place she can call home.

When we first came to Bridgepoint the nurse stayed after her shift to get Mom into the computer system so her meds would not be delayed. My mom later transitioned from assisted living to memory care. Everyone was very kind and helpful in making this transition. We have been there three plus years and EVERYONE has been helpful and kind. I consider many of the staff as friends. They have offered me help through workshops and guest speakers so that I can help care for my mom. They communicate lovingly and well.

My mother moved into Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It's absolutely wonderful. It's exactly what my mother needs. She's well cared for. Lots of daily activities to keep the elders entertained, and she's gained weight since she's been in there. Overall, I see a huge improvement. I couldn't be happier. They have bingo, cornhole, crocheting, they have Bananagrams, and they have balloon volleyball. They just have an endless list of activities for the elders to enjoy. They have Whirlpool, on-site laundry facilities. She has her own apartment, which is handicap accessible. It's a perfect size for her. It doesn't have a stove, they have the kitchen cabinets you need, a full-size refrigerator, and a full-size sink. They have a walk-in shower with a chair where she can go in and just sit right down. I think you just need to give it a chance, tour the facility. I toured it alone, and then I took my mother back because I wanted her to make sure that was a place that she wanted to be, and I didn't choose that location. She gave me the "Yes, go ahead. I'm ready to move in."

I visited Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It was absolutely beautiful and would have been a wonderful place to stay. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I wouldn't have wanted to have to get dressed and go downstairs three times a day to get meals, for me that's a little bit much. It was very nice, and the little girl that helped us was very, very nice. You couldn't have complained about anything. The facility was very nice. I would have loved it if I hadn't had to go downstairs to eat three times a day. I just love the rooms. I always wanted to live in New York, on one of those streets that had trees on it, and it reminded me of New York and living in an apartment like that. So, I really was crazy about it. I would have liked it, but I got home, and I got to think about that going downstairs three times a day, and I couldn't do that. I liked the library, and I liked the art class, I thought it was just a great place to live. The dining area was beautiful. They were having lunch when we were there, but we just went ahead, then we saw the room and we looked at everything; but the dining room, it was perfect. The staff was all very nice. They were very helpful about questions, or anything that we wanted or thought we might want to do; it was just great. I had my daughter with me, and she enjoyed looking at it so much, and I couldn't get her away from there in time to go to another one. So, we only got to see that one, and then it was perfect. It was lovely.

My parents have lived in assisted living at Bridgepointe for 5 yrs. It is difficult to rely on others to care for your loved ones, but It is apparent that the nursing and administrative staff love the residents & try best to provide for their individual needs. It was very difficult for my parents to leave their beloved farm in another county, but now they admit this is the best place for them. This has been so reassuring to me, especially during COVID. Although, the restrictions have been difficult for all the residents & families, they have gone over & beyond to fill in what family members usually do & to provide a safe environment where all have remained safe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bridgepointe as a second home for your loved one.

I’ve been a part of the Christian care community family for going on 7 years now . Everyone works together & we are like family . I love seeing the smiles on the resident’s faces every morning as they enjoy their breakfast and a cup of coffee with their daily chronicles to read and soft music playing in the background . The laughters heard through the dining rooms as they socialize together and reminisce of days past , sharing about their grandchildren & memories of childhood growing up . Joining together as a group to sing Bible hymns , (Amazing Grace being a popular choice around here ) or anything that comes to mind . Ice cream socials are enjoyed by everyone , especially in the warmer months when the courtyard is able to be utilized. Bridgepointe is the closest thing to home , where love grows & friendships turn into family .

The facility was clean and very impressive at first. The administration was very enthusiastic and appeared caring. They really sold us on the care. We started to notice things that made us uncomfortable right away. We gave notice and moved my family member after just a month. Medical issues were not addressed. My family member was xrayed and the only reason given was, "they said their hip hurt." Documentation was only recorded as anecdotal notes on the residents fille. Conflicting or evasive responses were often given. Preferences were not honored. My family member was fed food that we had listed as hard to chew or upsetting gastritis. Mail was not delivered and was returned unopened after we moved. Clothing disappeared. We had to replace about $200 in clothing. When we left, my family member was dehydrated, withdrawn and afraid. The administration was not visible on site very often and has ignored questions and concerns. We were often told that the administrator had an emergency and had to leave. When we gave notice the only reply was "when are you leaving?" A call to the corporate office had the same result. You can tell where the lack of concern originates. Really research this company. The very high charges do not reflect the service provided. I would look elsewhere. After over$10,000.00 billed for our one month bad experience, I feel like I would love to warn anyone even thinking of approaching this property.
