Reviews
for Cedarhurst Senior Living of Nicholasville
I have been there a couple of times for their community events and everyone is so nice and welcoming. They really seem to love the people they take care of. Staff is amazing.
I recently attended an event at Cedarhurst and the atmosphere was absolutely phenomenal! The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, making everyone feel welcomed and cared for. The events Cedarhurst has going on now and those planned for the future are sure to help the facility continue to grow and thrive. Hats off to the amazing staff for creating such a warm and vibrant environment!
I have the most amazing job with awesome co-workers and the sweetest residents to help take care of.
Beautiful facility! Amazing staff that truly cares about residents.
Great staff and we enjoy the activities for families to join into! I love the personalization and thoughtful ways they make my Dad feel at home and smiling!
Top notch place with a top notch staff!!!!
This is a beautiful community where staff and residents are so friendly and welcoming.
Great building with compassionate staff members
It is a beautiful facility with kind staff.
Love the staff and the residents
I love it because I have such great friends just like I did when I was a kid. Lori and Autumn make this place fabulous. I love all the activities and trips we take.

The team at Cedarhurst of Nicholasville are compassionate caregivers.
Beautiful place
Great place to live and Lori is so sweet. Autumn and activities are the best!!
Many smiling faces throughout the building. Love this place.
Life Enrichment is amazing and I can not say enough about how wonderful everyone is here. I’m living my best life.
Our brother in law has been there for not quite a year. He is very happy with his apartment, the services, and the people.Likewise, we are delighted with the care he is receiving. In fact, we have gotten to experience staying in an apartment for several days, enjoying the food, spending time with very friendly people, who constantly want to do things for you. I only hope that when the time comes that we need a place like Cedarhurst to call home, that we can find its equal in Washington.
the communities is beautiful comfortable. The staff us caring and supportive.
As senior living professional, & former employee, of Cedarhurst of Nicholasville, I highly recommend this community for the exeptional care & services offered. While this community is beautifully designed, it's the people that truly make it a wonderful place to live. The residents are happy, social, & very welcoming to new residents. The staff, from the leadership team to front line, are dedicated & sincere in their passion for serving older adults. Dining services & activities are very important to quality of life & Cedarhurst of Nicholasville does it better than any community I've worked in. If you are looking for Assisted Living or Memory Care south of Lexington please see for yourself & visit Cedarhurst of Nicholasville.
We have just completed moving my parents in and the staff have been very accommodating and are always happy! We’ve enjoyed their dining experience and it is equal to any fine dining restaurant. I believe my parents will be happy here.
My experience has been positive. I considered several communities and chose Cedarhurst for my partner and I.
When I tell my kids everything the staff does for me they can't believe it! The staff is super sweet and go above and beyond to care for all of us!
We recently came from out of town to visit a friend. Upon entering the parking lot, the facility has a fresh, almost vacation feel. It is beautifully lancscaped. Upon entering the building, we immediately felt welcomed by the staff who knew our friend was expecting us. Inside the facility you experience a warm and cozy atmosphere. Meeting up with our friend who was excited to show us around, the staff was amazingly friendly. You felt that they were your friend too. You knew they respected the residents and were very caring. The staff seemed to draw the residents out to keep them involved and occupied to a purposeful life. It appeared that there were many activities and social areas to keep residents interested in their surroundings. Residents we met seemed happy, Our friend seemed to enjoy mealtime and the companionship it offered. It appeared to be a very vibrant encouraging place to live.
I like the staff, activities and my neighbors!
Cedarhurst is a home. I hope I never have to leave. This is not a nursing it's a family and living home!
I like the safe living in my apartment and the separate bedroom.
I can't think of any place better they have been fantastic on care and the facility!
My folks moved in August 3rd and have loved it. Everyone is so warm and welcoming!
One thing I am concerned about is the high turn over in senior staff over last year and a half. New senior staff seem more corporate than client concerned, but residents seem happy. Some concerns about "cost cutting".
We are very happy with Cedarhurst overall. It is a new facility that is bright and airy. The memory care unit has several windows and a very nice courtyard area. The activities director is wonderful. Most of the staff are very friendly. Cleanliness has not been an issue. Most importantly, [name removed] is much happier in this community. She eats her meals out in the dining area with all of the other residents. They take a field trip once a week. Sometimes they go get ice cream, visit the dollar store or just take a ride down the road.
When making the difficult decision to move my mother to assisted living, we looked at several facilities. We chose Cedarhurst but then I read some of the Google reviews and was apprehensive. A close friend of mine that had a family member there assured me that they were making some positive changes to improve their community. I can verify that this is the case. A new director and nursing staff have made a positive impact. My mother was resistant to the move and they have gone out of their way to help her adapt and feel at home. They have been responsive to any concerns we have had. Their activities director, PT staff, food director are amazing. Staffing at any assisted living facility is a challenge. With one possible exception, we have been pleased with the care my mother receives from staff that assists her daily. We are happy that Cedarhurst has improved my Mom’s quality of life.
Great Community, Great Staff!
Such a welcoming environment, great and friendly staff who care about the residents like family.
My father in law was a memory care patient there and they waited three days to call and tell us that he had not had anything to eat, drink, or his medications. We had to take him to the hospital and the nurses who admitted him were appalled at the condition he was in. He had a bed sores and the nurse remarked that his diaper looked like it was a week old. While this place looks great from the outside they have serious staffing issues. Three directors in a year since they have been open and at least three nurses. I do not recommend this place because they are owned by a private equity firm and all they care about is making money, not staffing the facility to give great care. Jeremy Taylor-Eames
It was literally the only place that would accept my husband in his current state. It was a good experience. And they tried to help my husband as much as possible.
The facilities are beautiful…the level of care is very inconsistent. My very good friend is there, and she is paying a premium price for subpar care. She is often neglected, forgotten, or just given a minimum level of care in a hurried fashion. There is a great deal of staff turnover, which is not good for continuity. I know they’re relatively new, but the level of care has declined, rather than improved, in the last 11 months.
Very welcoming, friendly staff and residents. In what has been a very, very difficult time for me.
Every staff member is always smiling and very helpful. When ask about something concerning my Dad they do everything they can to help and answer any questions.
Communication is best in person though with the shortage of workers you have to be persistent and patient. If you need to communicate from outside of the facility, it is best done by text or appointment. For communication not in person that requires more immediate response, calling is best but again be persistent and patient.Very friendly caring staff that are very willing to work things out with family for your loved one's best interest. They are however are a little short staffed. Beautiful well planned out facility with many activities, hair salon, library, movie theatre and PT on site. Open to accepting pets within their guidelines.
Some of there employees there are very rude and very unprofessional. Especially Candice she was rude and hateful to me and won’t apologize… So sad of a person….it’s so bad there that many people are quitting. It’s a very political place to work too many people in other people business and back stabbing people.
Super friendly and very helpful staff, positive and upbeat environment. Dad has been very happy. I would recommend to others.
Great place for Seniors to call home! Friendly and caring staff that give great care to the residents.
We toured Cedarhurst of Nicholasville. It's a fairly new place, just a year old. It was still very clean. The staff was very friendly. They showed us everything, and they answered all our questions. The rooms were bigger compared to the others, and they were clean. They had nice-sized bathrooms.
I helped my friend move his mom into Cedarhurst Nicholasville today. The staff was very nice and friendly. The common areas were very inviting, bright, and airy. The room was laid out nicely with a large outdoor window, plenty of space, and a large bathroom with open shower, toilet, sink, and closet
