Reviews
for Florence Park Care Center
Please avoid sending your loved one here if possible. The place smells like old pee. The first night that we were there, the nurse was screaming at the other staff in front of residents and families. There were a few staff members who were nice, especially Abby. Everybody else sucked. The first night my dad got woken up every two hours because they changed his roommate because he kept overfilling his bag. The food was always cold, and the staff took over half an hour to respond to Call lights So my dad ended up having to go to the restroom by himself, which he wasn’t supposed to do. Thank God, we were able to get him out of there and get him to a much nicer place pretty quickly.
Staff was extremely helpful and patient. Thank you!
If I was anybody do not put your loved one in this place worst people ever some of the staff are very rude and disrespectful and don't do what they're supposed to do to take care of the elderly that live there worst nursing home in Florence how pathetic
Buenos días. Hay una amiga que quiere trabajar de housekeeping en este lugar . Me darían alguna opinión al respecto por favor?
Well I can tell I have. A best friend in this place and it's a place that morning will not get patients out of bed 😞 they have to wait til next shift or get up at 430am what kind of place is this you get plenty of money and the workers get paid to take care of these patients please take take of these people would ya like to be treated like this NO WAY STOP 🛑 AND THINK START TREATING THEM RIGHT and make them feel wanted some DNT have Family nok so treat them with dignity and and wanted lovet hem
The staff was friendly and nice, clean facility!
This place is awful the head nurse Monti (think that was it) was extremely rude and condescending the entire time I saw her. Some of the staff is nice which is the only reason it even gets one star. Other wise they deserve none. Place is filthy. First day my mom was there the room had black stuff all on the floor, used thermometer covers, trash was full, a resident came and got his stuff out of the room. Bugs in lights, cobwebs all over. The nurses are rude and it’s honestly no wonder they work at such an awful place.
the place is under staff and the day shift is the worst. I do not recommend this place to anyone who is not independent
If I could give a 0 star I would not a safe environment for the residents or the Staff.
Although Florence Park has had its share of challenges in the past, I must say that I have been very impressed with the care, commitment and cleanliness of the facility. It's very conveniently located in Florence and yet, it's peaceful, quiet and the garden is beautiful. The staff are top-notch and did I mention how CLEAN it is? It has a very family-oriented atmosphere and the management's offices are right off the lobby. The Administrator's door is always open and there's a real sense that customer service is their #1 priority. Highly recommend!
On the morning of Sept. 25, 2019, I found my mom sitting in her chair at the breakfast table. It was as though she could not hold her head up and she wouldn't eat, which is not normal for her. I talked with a nurse and asked her if she knew what was going on. She said she'd been like that for a couple of days and maybe they need to do some lab work on her. By lunchtime, she hadn't improved, the lab work showed that she was dehydrated, her sugar levels were out of whack, her potassium wasn't right, and some other things were not normal. They sent her to the ER. The ER doctor shows us a picture that you see on the right wanted to know if we knew about this. This shows a level four pressure wound at the lower part of her back. We knew there was a pressure wound there but we had no idea to that extent and she was not even sent to the hospital for that reason. Two days later, she goes in for surgery, a deridment, because it's so bad. She was hospitalized for nine days. The morning of October 14th she passes away. I asked the surgeon how it gets that bad. He said it could be that she's not being turned enough or she's being left wet or with feces too long/ not being changed often enough. I'm saying this to let you know if you have a loved one, family member, friend, anyone who's in the nursing home, please ask questions(get their name), check their body parts, look them over, especially if they're in a memory care unit.
This place is an extention to bridgepoint corporate ran for profits and minimal care my mother suffered there and they all were aware she was neglected at another home and florence park makes it sound pretty but its a nightmare just like bridgepointnursing but i got my mother out of this corporate hell hole and shes home with us ive posted photos of there neglect on this site the corporations in this broken system are killing our family members solely for profit margins
Facility is always dirty and smells awful. Staff especially nurses are rude and unprofessional they use profanity at other staff members as well as residents. There long term unit isn’t fit for a dog.’
Now my mother is in hospital because of the neglect they said nothing was wrong with her and she had nothing but blood in her catheter and her catheter bag let her lay for hours in her own s**** her bed sores were heal now she has them back she is to be turn every two hours doctors order but the nurses there don't do there job all the nurses and staff that work there only care about there next paycheck
Horrible horrible horrible coming from a past employee. I called 2 weeks ahead of the time I needed to get my my TB test results from the HR scheduler lady named Marsha. Nobody answered so I left a message this was on a Friday. I called again that following Tuesday and the lady that answered said she was on vacation and just came back was catching up with things it’ll be Thursday or Friday before she could get it. That’s fine as long as I have it by next Friday. Well Friday came and went still hasn’t heard anything. So I called again Monday. She then told me she didn’t know where it was because it’s all thrown into a drawer and it’s not organized it’ll take a while to dig through everything and it wasn’t a priority. She has other things to worry about she will get to it when she gets to it. Pretty sure you can’t keep medical information from someone. And had something been seriously wrong and she needed to locate that test she wouldn’t have been able to. I still haven’t heard back from her either. Glad I left when I did because this place doesn’t seem to be going well.
Absolutely love this place! My grandma has been somewhat of a frequent flyer to their rehab unit, she looked forward to returning each time! The staff is always kind and attentive to residents' needs. Would definitely recommend this place to those looking to place family members in a long term care facility.
All I have to say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
This place should be shut down. Filthy with the stench of fleeces as soon as you begin walking down the hall. Please Please Please never take a a family member here. It's truly a nightmare.
My elderly aunt who just underwent cancer surgery has developed a kidney infection which has been ongoing for a week now with no Dr visit or transport to an urgent care to resolve her issue. She sounded miserable on the phone today. What kind of CARE is this?
My father was there and took me four days to get him out of there. Bed linens were dirty, took for ever to get a response to the request for assistance and help was not very skilled. Would never put a relative here again.
I don't think the sanitation is good in Florence Park. My mother broke her leg and she was bedbound and a couple of times she had to lay there on her own spills for quite a while before someone came and it usually happens on weekends when they are short of staff, but through the week, everything seems to be handled pretty well. I don't think the rooms are as sanitary and clean. The people are just fine and I have no issues. They came every time we had to address something. The cleaning staff need to make sure that the rooms and bathrooms are clean and disinfected definitely. They need to be more alert especially on weekends.
Staff could be unfriendly at times but my family wasn't the easiest to work with. We had many communication problems regarding payment. Staff did not inform us of one member of the family's delinquency in payment for my grandmother until it was very behind and she was on the verge of being kicked out. The actual wing my grandmother stayed in smelled bad and did not seem clean but the facility had nice common areas for visiting. However, to get to them you had to walk through hallways where patients would be "parked" in while sleeping or just sitting there. Was not a pleasant place.
I feel that my grandmother is safe here. My grandfather and family members have become very close with some of the staff. The facility is always clean and they have even updated it in the past year with new furniure and flooring. The gardens are tended to and the residents seem to be clean. There is an abudance of food served with three meals a day. The down side is there are not enough workers. The food may be there but there are not enough people there to feed them the food. Many of the residents are bored and do not have enough engagement because of the lack of people. Not for sure if people don't want to work there or if they only will pay so many. If there were more people there the patients would be a lot more happier.
