Reviews
for Harrodsburg Health & Rehabilitation Center
The staff here treat these residents like they are family. The activities department is amazing. The bistro has some yummy food. The leadership and therapy department are amazing.
This home is so welcoming! Everyone is smiling and interacting with each other. The frontline staff provide amazing care! I highly recommend this place
Wonderful place to work and great teamwork! I would recommend this facility to anyone including my own family.
Met the CEO of this home and she goes the extra mile to make sure the patients and families are taken care of . A great home that gives great care
My mom spent the last few weeks of her life here and the staff could not have been nicer. Nurses, assistants, administrators, maintenance crew, custodians, doctors, therapists and others all gave her the best possible care and more importantly constantly showed her love. Administrator Jessica Toth just sparkles as she goes about doing her job and anything else she sees doing but yet found time to visit with my mom. My mother thought aides Maggie and Felicity were her granddaughters because they treated her so well. If she needed something, someone was always there and willing to help. They made a difficult time easier for her and us and I will never ever forget what this staff did for my mother.
I love working for this facility! The communication amongst staff is the best I have seen
My Mother is currently there for rehab, I’ve been here for 6 hrs today and nobody has come to check if she needs to be changed! The bed is very outdated, told them when she arrived she try’s to get out of bed and they might want to put up side rails, the side rails are about 12” wide and at her shoulders!!! I’ve stopped her from trying to get out of bed 3 times today and when I say something about it it seems to get laughed off! Thinking about getting her moved!!! As for your reply, I’ve already met with social worker there yesterday (Aug. 14th) and expressed my concerns, She was transferred out this morning to Haggin Swingbed!
Unfortunately this place reminds me of the old days when society would drop off people they couldn't care for or didn't want. Sadly my wife had to stay here a few days because I couldn't take care of her while I worked. My family could not help and I had no choice at the time. She needed constant monitoring because she had heart and lung disease issues. When I got off work I showed up and she was having heart rhythm issue, light headed, and low blood pressure, I had to ask them to call 911 because they didn't understand the seriousness of her health or didn't care about her concerns. She is not stupid and was young enough to be taken seriously age 43. A nurse at any hospital would know this stuff but they didn't seam to care. So after she was admitted to hospital for treatment, I didn't send her back and found a way to care for her myself. Thankfully She is better today but remains on oxygen and lots of meds. If you are considering a patient with the health issues for close monitoring, I recommend some where else. Also alot of the other complaints from other reviews are valid stuff goes missing and it smells.
I give negative 5 stars it was Horrific and barbaric as I sat alone with my dying mother the nurses laughed loudly and did nothing to redirect the other resident in the room who kept coming over pacing and yelling about wanting my mom's side of the room because of the window. My mom was so under nourished, dehydrated and neglected in every way. My mom died within 24 hours of being switched to comfort measures only (morphine) nurse did say it was to speed up the process. This is the most uncaring - nasty in every way place in addition to being cruel. I've seen how comfort measures are correctly handled and I've been in a lot of nursing homes. This place is blatantly uncaring. Being myself disabled I took care of my mom for as long as I could. She was at this nightmare facility for 8 or 9 months. And that was too long. Spending onre day there is too long. Poor poor living conditions.
It’s an absolutely beautiful facility, and I recently had the opportunity to speak with the facility administrator and she was extremely pleasant and helpful. We are all very confident about our Mother’s Stay.
This a great facility to bring a loved one that needs care. The administrator is wonderful and very helpful. She’s really a delight to be around.
The leadership of this facility is great.
Is the option for zero stars available? We had the unfortunate situation where our mother was placed in this disgusting place. It is hard to decide where to start. * The urine stench hits you as soon as you walk through the door. * The food is unidentifiable, always cold. * The wing my mother was in was without hot water for 4 days recently. * My mother was left with a wet diaper without anyone looking after her for hours. * Bed sores. * My first encounter I had to ask for soap and hand sanitizer for her room because both dispensers were empty. * Her clothing kept disappearing. (shoes included) They told me they would reimburse me for the clothing...I am still waiting. * Her toothbrush was taken...two of them. * I called and the front desk woman thought she put me on hold but didn't. She told the person I had asked for "If you don't want to talk to her, I can just hang up on her" and the phone went dead. * The restroom in my mothers room was filthy. No one ever flushes OR cleans the area. There are so many problems with this facility, a complete overhaul of personnel AND deep cleaning of the building is VERY necessary. We were lucky. Found a wonderful place that actually cares about their patients and the facilities cleanliness!
Harrodsburg health is a beautiful facility. Great staff that are always kind and willing to help. The residents are sweet and always doing fun activities.
I want to give a shout out for Jennifer Phillips in her working with a referral, in helping a family receive the services that they needed. Thank You for all your assistance!!
Here at Harrodsburg Healthcare we have an amazing team of therapists and nursing staff in this facility! We all are like family here and our residents and their families become part of our family as well.
I think this facility is a great accommodation to our community.
Great place to work or live.
They treat my grandmother like a queen! They keep it nice and tidy and new paint! There’s no other place I would want her to be at!
From employees to residents this facility is a team turned into a family!
Harrodsburg Health & Rehab is the greatest facility to work with. Always friendly and wiling to help in any way!!
I only gave this place 1 star so that I could give it a review. Office/Administrative were super great and helpful, some nursing staff were very sweet. However, this is the dirtiest, nastiest place I've ever seen!! Paint chipping all over, nurses leaving dirty gloves, etc on floor, dead bugs(hopefully not live) were behind and under beds and such a noisy place with nurses hanging out and talking so loudly, patients can't sleep!! We couldn't get our loved one out of there fast enough!!! Please, until/unless things change, DO NOT take your loved ones to this place!!
Its a very great place. The staff is friendly and they treat residents with the most respect possible. Tons of activities and overall a fun environment! I recommend highly to all families to bring your loved ones there.
My Grandmother was placed here for short term rehab after a stroke. She lost her left side. No neuro deficits just left side weakness. She was in the facility for about six weeks where she underwent extensive rehab. The therapy team and nursing team worked together well to make sure she received the best care possible. The facility had just went through a refurb where they put in a new bistro and buffet. It was a positive thing. The food was great! If she should ever need care again it will be a no questions asked, she will go to Harrodsburg Health and Rehab. She is doing well since being released from the facility. She met so many friends there that she typically visits each month.
The building is clean. The staff are welcoming and happy. They treat the residents like their own grandparents. There is always plenty for the residents to do and the activity staff are so special. The food is good and the new addition of the the buffet is a huge hit.
This is a good facility. It has a real small town feel and the staff are caring and friendly. I toured the building and found it clean and it smelled good.
