Kenton Pointe Assisted Living Community

Getting my mom into Kenton Pointe was never part of the plan after my father died in June, but after multiple failed attempts at finding a "new normal" including me living in her house in Ohio and then her living in mine in Maysville, by August I was desperate for a solution that would provide her with the supervision she needs while also detaching from the power struggle of sharing a home with me. At Kenton Pointe, she is supervised and safe, but still very much "Queen of her Castle" in her beautiful apartment. Within days of moving in, it was clear that Kenton Pointe was the answer to a prayer and exactly what she needed. She had a reason to get up and get dressed every morning, began taking daily walks with a new friend, and enjoys breakfast, lunch and dinner with friends in the cozy dining room. Her favorite event: HAPPY HOUR ON FRIDAY! Yes, they enjoy a weekend libation and a trivia game to kick off the weekend on Friday afternoon and I may have joined them a time or two! And staff, what can I say? They are angels among us. Katherine, the director, saved the day in a big way when Mom began hiding her wallet and Katherine never stopped looking and found it after three day! And from the Director on down, this level of attentiveness is given to each and every resident from every staff member I have met so far. All of them bring their "A Game" so your loved one can live in peace, safety, and prosperity in their later years. And finally, I will address the aesthetics of the facility. Every single friend of my Mom's who has visited her there has made a special point of calling me after their initial visit to exclaim about how clean and attractive Kenton Pointe is. It looks good here. It smells good here. If FEELS good here. This is not a step down by any stretch, this is "home" in every sense of the word.

I am in the process of selling my house so that I can move into Kenton Pointe Station Assisted Living. I took a tour with a wonderful person named Katherine. This place is like Heaven on earth 🌎. Plus, all the things they offer will definitely help me survive in my later years, things that I need some "assistance" with, hence the name. I pray to God every day to help me sell my house so that I can make the move. EVERY single person I met during my tour was warm and welcoming. I can't wait.
