Reviews
for Magnolia Springs Florence
A client of mine has recently moved into Magnolia Springs and even though it's going to be a big adjustment for him, I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They have been over and above helpful and kind, helping us get settled. The facility is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. And I can tell by the atmosphere, that it's a very good place.
The friendliness of the staff, the activities offered, the meals, the overall experience and the professionalism of the staff, the excellent results of the therapy.
Was told that I was liked etc at interview and that she would get back to me pretty much said I had the job then said she chose another candidate 20 years experience and they led me on and made me think I had job . Guess they don’t want actual ppl who are interested and want to work Also they are still hiring candidates so they definitely lied to my face feel discriminated against and they don’t care
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is always very clean very accommodating.
My mom moved out after a couple weeks. My dad is still there, but we're looking at other options. The rooms are nice, staff worked to help get the rooms setup. Memory care does not do a lot with grooming/bathing.
I spent time w/ a sweet lady from 8am - 12 noon today. We had a good day. We walked the hall and talked about the lovely Easter decorations and photo's if the residents having activities. I sat & assisted her w/ her for Breakfast and lunch. Overall a pleasant morning.
Magnolia Springs had a policy in their memory care unit that if the resident had a communicable illness (flu, etc.), they were not allowed in the building. My mom picked up Flu while staying there. I was sick, myself, which made it difficult to care for Mom at home. That was the whole point of sending my mom to Magnolia Springs; I needed her cared for while I had my own medical problems resolved. Other facilities, such as [community removed] , just isolate the resident if they have the flu. They don't kick them out of the building. Magnolia Spring did not disclose this policy in their contract.
Horrible management. Be better for your residents
Virtually everyone at Magnolia Springs really has a great attitude. The cleaning staff was second-to-none, and the dining there was a terrific experience. The place needs a better exec director and business admin, but otherwise it's great. The cleaning staff especially went all-out to keep the facility clean and beautiful. The staff members were very friendly and kind.
When entering Magnolia Spings, the facility seemed like a 5 star hotel- extremely clean throughout the entire facility, welcoming staff from every corner and the overall experience from entering Magnolia was inviting! One of my favorite things about Magnolia springs is what they have to offer! The activities indoors along with exciting outings make each day something to look forward to! Each room in the building is decorated with colorful, charming decor, making it feel like you’re truly at home! Another one of my favorite things about Magnolia is their dining experience! Residents get to choose their meal from a menu and feel like they are eating in a fine dining restaurant! You can see the passion in the eyes of each staff member. They love what they do and want to give the very best retirement community experience! I cannot say enough positive things about Magnolia Springs- their efforts do not go unnoticed!
Looks like a great place. The person we were there to visit is pleased with the facility and very happy
Resident had plumbing issues, did not have working toilet ,there maintenance could not fix , resident had to call me to get working toilet, had to have resident pay me to fix magnolia springs plumbing.
I had the opportunity to tour with [name removed]. The community was beautiful. The first floor has received a “refresh” but honestly it wasn’t needed. The 2nd and 3rd floor are just as beautiful. The thing that stick out to me the most is the bistro, there is food with substance available 24/7. The staff was another indicator that this is the place to be. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I could not believe the amount of people that asked if I needed anything. When it is time for my mom to take this step. I will look no further than Magnolia.
Not sure what these one star reviews are about. My mom has been there for several years and is very happy. The communication has dramatically improved over the last few months.
Magnolia Springs by far has the best memory care unit around Northern Kentucky. The caregivers care and love all of their residents. Even the guy that works in housekeeping has a loving and compassionate heart, always ready to help one of the residents. I am here mornings and see firsthand the love and compassion that surrounds the residents.
I also want to mention that Magnolia Springs was recently acquired by another company and they are working on a facility refresh and they have hired a new chef to improve the dining experience. I would recommend Magnolia Springs. They are very kind to my mother. The on-site occupational and physical rehab services are very convenient, and they do update me if there are issues my mother does not share.
I came in last week for a interview, upon entering i was greeted by michelle, who was very sweet, and guided me to the bistro area where i was waiting for my interviewer. I waited for nearly 45 minutes before i decided to get up and ask if i had been forgotten about. I sat back down in the bistro for another 15-20 minutes before a different lady came in and told me that my interviewer was in a meeting and asked if i had the time to stay and wait or if i had something to do. I had to pick someone up and the wait was already taking way longer than i expected so i had no choice but to leave. I received a voicemail explaining how they were sorry they could not meet with me and how they would keep my resume on file incase i ever wanted to be employed in the future and basically declining the interview process on their end. I feel as if it was highly unprofessional and it resembles how much they really care about their future employees. Also i didn’t apply and accept a interview for future employment as i need a job at the current moment. The facility looked beautiful and the elderly looked very well taken care of but if you are coming here for employment, just be aware you are just another number to them. Nothing more, Nothing less.
We visited Magnolia Springs Florence for my father. The person who took us on a tour was a nice lady. The place was nice. The common areas were nice, too. They just didn't have two-bedrooms. They had a library there and I saw a garden area from the balcony.
Beautiiful place for your love one to call home. Everyone friendly starting with the receptionist when you first walk in and extends throughout magnolia each day to residents and family. Management wonderful in working with each resident and getting to know them . Happy my mom is a magnolia knowing she is under great care. Anniversary of my mom, Florence Fledderman death Monday September 30th and my memories include the wonderful care they gave my mom, she was home with friendship from the staff throughout. I will always be thankful for their kindness and care they showed my mom every day . Joe and Scott , Michelle and entire staff of caregivers were the best in every way. It's been a year as of Monday since she died, we miss her dearly but are thankful she had a wonderful home at magnolia. This is the only place for your family member or friend to spend their ongoing years with a staff that becomes family.
As an RA who takes pride caring for senior residence who pay good money to have a clean, respectful, safe and accurate environment. I am disgusted by the lack of empathy and responsibilities of not only the caretakers but also management at this facility. It is sad when the residents are neglected and when management only cares when there’s higher people in the building or family. Not only are the caregivers not heard with ongoing issues but also current residence that are not getting the care, that should be provided . I do not recommend this facility for anyone’s loved ones. It looks nice on the outside and on the inside, but as far as listening to concerns and making it a happy safe place to live for our senior community I would not recommend this place.
I cannot say enough positive things about Magnolia Springs Florence. My parents, moved there in 2017, and my mother continued living there after my father’s passing in 2021. The staff is so genuine. So caring. Joe Guy, the executor director, deserves a big shout out. The heartfelt care that he gave to my mother cannot be surpassed. I will miss seeing everyone there! Highly recommend Magnolia Springs if you are looking for beautiful, safe accommodations, and true care for your loved one.
We felt very pressured to take an existing opening by [name removed] and [name removed] in the Memory Care Unit. Their main selling point was the attention given to the patient. Over and over they said the patient would be treated like family. We were assured [name removed] is very available to all. Unfortunately, our loved one was taken to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital, shortly after moving to Magnolia Springs. We were never contacted by anyone from Magnolia Springs to check on her condition. So much for being treated like family. Naively, we thought someone would reach out to us. Possibly [name removed], “ the patient whisperer “. After a few days, we called and spoke to the Memory Care director. She was kind and concerned. We are thankful to her. Our loved one passed a week later. Our experience was not at all like their sale pitch.
Staff was very friendly and took great care of my father. [name removed] , the kitchen manager was amazing. He went above and beyond for my father. We would definitely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far
I toured Magnolia Springs Florence for a friend. I liked everything. I liked the dining room and the amount of selections on the menu. The rooms are very spacious, which I love. The lady on the tour was great showing me all the different amenities and everything else. They gave me a pie when I left. So, I enjoyed the whole tour and felt very good about it. The residents have outings. They even have a 50s room that looks like a 50s diner or something with the jukebox. The seating looked just like something out of a diner. They have church services frequently. They have an area off the dining room where the residents can go in and grab a drink, a cookie, or a cup of coffee. It was just a nice little area where they can go and get a snack.
I was there as a healthcare worker. Very nice facility. Everyone seems to be very nice. Thank you
There to visit a resident. Best facility I've every been in. Previously given tour and was in awe of Magnolia Springs. Beautiful decorated inside and architecturally pleasing to the eye.
The staff has been very responsive and compassionate. Overall, very good experience. My sister doesn't participate in activities.
The staff is incredibly nice, the food served is terrific and the building is more than adequate. However, there is an unusual policy in place. If the resident has an active contagious disease such as even the flu, they are not supposed to be in the building. In a community such as this, people will pass bugs around. One would hope for something minor, the resident could just be isolated and monitored for a couple of days. Instead, they are sent back home. If they have no home to go back to then what? Anyway, check 7.1.6 of the contract.
The residents at magnolia were nothing but amazing people. The management however ruined the whole place for me. Management will scold RAs for going above and helping residents with something that they may be able to do themselves. Work their assistants understaffed 99.9% of the time. And they talk to the assistants like they are nothing to them, when the resident assistants are the ones taking care of everyone. They only care about how it looks on them, they will do whatever it takes to make it look a lot better than it is. Only planning activities in memory unit when there is a tour for example.
They took excellent care of my grandmother in both the assisted living area and later in the memory care. The facility was well maintained and the majority of the staff kept me informed and treated her very well. She made friends with a lot of the staff. I felt comfortable she was safe and looked after. I really appreciated everything they did for her and were able to give her as much independence and companionship as they did.
We moved my mother to Magnolia Springs in July 2021. She moved from out of state, so it took some time for her to get acclimated. The staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and welcome. They encouraged her to go to the dining room for meals and to join in the activities. She now tells me that Magnolia is home!
I would like to invite you to visit Magnolia Springs! My husband and I have lived here about two years and have become part of a special family! Living here is like a joyful resort. We have all the amenities everyone enjoys. The staff and RA’s make our lives so pleasurable, more importantly the residents become your best friends! The social community is outstanding with entertainment activities weekly and our daily meals are delicious! Come visit with us soon.
Our experience will Magnolia Springs started with meeting [name removed]. She was very informative about the community and finding the best fit for Mom. The caring and friendly staff of Magnolia Springs start as you enter thru the front door. The memory way director Christine and her staff in memory way care about the residents and it shows. We are very pleased with how the community makes sure the residents join in activities and keep them active.
Mom enjoyed the time she lived at Magnolia Springs. She said it was a good place to be if one couldn't stay at home any longer. The staff is great and she loved the food. I appreciate all you did while my mother lived at Magnolia Springs. Thank you for making her life a little better.
The staff is kind and compassionate with their residents. They call the residents by name and answer any of the residents concerns.
My parents are residents in memory care. They need so much help. The staff is creative about helping them to eat well, move regularly, and sleep on a good schedule. I just love the staff. They love mom & dad.
I cannot express fully in words how grateful and happy I am with the caregivers in memory care. And Joe who is always ready, willing, and able to help in a multitude of ways. Michelle at the desk is nothing short of fantastic.
I so appreciate [name removed] in Memory. She is kind enough to keep me informed concerning my mother. And she is very pleasant and kind to my mother and myself. I couldn’t say that until Christine came. My mother has been at Magnolia going on 3 years now. Thank you Christine !
Your staff is wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. Thank you!
It was a wonderful home to visit. My family is very happy there, my sister Joan thank you for having us, and being so courteous. Langda Martin
The facility seemed more suitable to my mother's style of living. I would recommend to other families.
Excellent staff and lots of activities to keep your loved ones busy!
My father moved to Magnolia Springs and we have been very pleased with the experience. Where Magnolia Springs excels is with their top notch staff. They make sure Dad has everything he needs without it feeling like an inconvenience. The staff know his name and has been wonderful helping him and his faithful pup in this transition. I would highly recommend Magnoia Springs to friends and family.
They staff are friendly. The facility offers the residents a variety of activities.
We had an in person tour with Mangolia Springs and overall the tour experience and community was great
My mom has been living in the memory care unit at Magnolia Springs for the past six weeks. The grounds, the facility itself, and the food have all been excellent. Their staff including everyone from the executive directors, caregivers, maintenance, housekeeping and kitchen staff are exceptional. They have done an amazing job of helping my mom (and us) feel at home. It is obvious that everyone involved in memory care has a heart for the residents they care for.
My dad moved here from New York State a few weeks ago. The staff made the transition very easy, from early meetings with Susie to move-in day. They were very clear about all the options and pricing so we could make the best decision about the level of support needed. Dad has been raving about the food - both selections and quality - and everyone has been so helpful to make sure he has everything he needs to be comfortable and safe. Dad is very glad that he moved to Magnolia Springs and I feel the same way!
From the very beginning, I was extremely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of the executive Director and the marketing Director. I was treated with such respect and friendliness that I knew that this was a facility. I was interested in staying at. Although I did not stay here due to my own personal needs for a specific geography, I would have definitely stayed here based on the kind of customer service that was demonstrated to me. There's no question this is a five-star facility. - CDBthe3rd
I am a CarePro with Home Instead Senior Care and I have serviced residents here. I initially had a bit of trouble signing in/out with the kiosk until Grace assisted me on 4/18 with my signing in. The staff has been very helpful and informative of residents' Care plan that were new to me. I find the facility is beautifully designed.
This is a beautiful facility but they did not take care of my mom. She fell and ended up in the hospital because they were not putting her compression socks on her. I was paying them to dress her in the morning. When I asked why she never had her compression socks on, their answer was "She came down to breakfast already dressed." They missed her medications several times. She had a severe UTI. It was a 30 day supply of medicine. 3 weeks later, only 1 pill had been given to her. Her shower leaked all over the bathroom the first time she took a shower and it was never fixed. She had to use a vacant room down the hall to shower. I wasn't allowed to have a meal with her in the dining room. We had to reserve a room for me to eat with her. The food was not good. It was $18 for a guest to eat with her. We spent a lot of money buying her take out because she didn't like the food. I paid [fee removed] and she was there for a total of 39 days. After she left the hospital she had to go to rehab. I told them that she would not be going back there and they still charged her for rent and care and utilities. I would not recommend this facility unless you are just looking for somebody to do your laundry, Cook your meals and maybe clean your apartment once in a while.
