for Massey Springs Senior Living
Our family could not be more grateful for the care and support our parents receive at Massey Springs Senior Living community. Both of our parents live with dementia and finding a place that allows them to maintain their independence & dignity while providing the assistance they need has been invaluable. They enjoy the comfort of living in their own unit while benefiting from nutritious meals each day, have help with dressing, laundry, dispensing of medicine & light cleaning. All administered by an attentive, caring, truly dedicated staff. There is a hairdresser, physical therapist, & nurse practitioner on site & a nail tech that makes regular visits. These caregivers, lead by a knowledgeable, & caring Administrative Director, Allyson, consistently treat residents with kindness, patience, integrity, and respect. Giving our family tremendous peace of mind. The facility is modern, comfortable, clean & efficient. They make a special effort to ensure comfort to all residences while providing a safe space. One of the most outstanding features of Massey is the wide variety of activities they offer. There is always something meaningful happening, helping residents stay active, social and connected. The administration & staff go above and beyond to create a welcoming & vibrant environment where residents can thrive not just survive. Knowing our parents are safe, cared for, and treated as if they matter means more to us than words can express. We highly recommend Massey to any family looking for exceptional senior living.
If you are looking for a senior living community where residents are genuinely loved, respected, and cared for, Massey Springs Senior Living is exceptional. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth and compassion that make this community so special. The Resident Services Director, Allyson Ouellette is truly the heart of Massey Springs. She is loving, caring, and deeply committed to helping both residents and their families. Her compassion shines through in everything she does, and it is obvious that she genuinely wants the very best for every person who calls Massey Springs home. She takes the time to listen, support families through difficult transitions, and ensure residents receive the care and attention they deserve. The staff is equally wonderful. Every caregiver, employee, and team member treats residents with kindness, gentleness, and respect. They go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable, valued, and loved. It is reassuring to know your loved one is surrounded by people who truly care. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Residents are well cared for, and there is a strong sense of community throughout the building. There is always something fun happening, with daily activities that keep residents engaged and active. From crafts and games to Valentine's dances, holiday parties, and festive celebrations throughout the year, there is never a shortage of opportunities for socialization and enjoyment. One of the things that stands out most is the variety of services and programs available. Residents enjoy singing activities and church services on select Sundays, providing both entertainment and spiritual enrichment. There is also an on-site hairdresser and manicurist, helping residents look and feel their best. Having a physical therapist and nurse practitioner available on-site provides additional peace of mind for families and ensures residents have convenient access to important healthcare services. Massey Springs Senior Living has created an environment that feels like family. The combination of outstanding leadership, compassionate staff, engaging activities, and excellent care makes this community a truly special place. I highly recommend Massey Springs to anyone seeking a safe, caring, and vibrant home for their loved one. --Dedra Duvall Sledd
Excellent community for seniors! Kind, Caring & Knowledgeable Staff who provide compassionate care to residents. Beautiful campus providing independent, assisted and memory care. Highly recommend!
Massey Springs Senior Living is a truly wonderful place. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the residents. The community is welcoming, well-kept, and feels like home. I would highly recommend this facility!
My MIL lived here for several years and was faced with many issues with staff, management and residents. The staff is incompetent and unable to manage elder care. If the resident poses any issues that are common with elder care they refuse to deal with the issue. They are not capable of handling even modest elder challenges. Instead always stating this is beyond our capabilities. They will make excuses to remove the resident instead of addressing issues. Don’t have anything of value cash, jewelry in your room as is likely to mysteriously disappear. Research carefully before becoming a resident or placing a loved one in MS.
My mom spent seven years at Massey Springs. She was always cared for with respect and love. Their staff treated her like she was their mom too. Choosing someone to care for a parent is hard. But I will never regret choosing Massey Springs. They were a blessing for both me and my mom.
We toured Massey Springs. They had 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms. As you went out the door, it had a closed patio or porch side where you could sit. They had a place where it was safe to walk around. They seemed to have some activities. The place was nice and clean. It did not have any smells. We liked it, but we didn't have a good feeling about it, like we did with the other place. The person who took us around was nice, but not as personable or accommodating.
Massey Springs was a wonderful experience for my mom during her stay. Great staff. Would highly recommend!
Have two different friends that are there and they enjoyed being with the people they know. They seems to enjoy the food and feel safe in the building.
I have been involved with Leigh Mooneyhan and the staff at Massey Springs for the last couple of years. In my opinion you would not find a better community and staff to care for an aged loved one. I have moved my mother from the Villas at Massey Springs, to the Senior Living housing, to home with me, to back at Massey Springs. While I was trying to please my mother, it was Judy Ferrell that helped me understand and recognize my mother's need for stability and consistency, which of course are provided every minute of every day at Massey Springs. Judy has been involved with all aspects of dealing with the dementia and confusion aged parents sometimes suffer from. To this day, I can go to Judy with a question, concern or just call and see how things are and she is always readily available to help. Kathy Greene is available as support person and activities at Massey Springs. Her genuine concern and love of the folks that live at Massey is amazing. She does her best each day to see that all are involved and active and participating in planned events. Kathy is open to suggestions and ideas for events and activities and is always searching for an idea or newsworthy event to invite all to participate in a discussion. Leigh has been available to me through all the financial and realistic aspects of making such a move. She even had my Mother's villa repainted to her favorite color! It was newly painted no one had lived there prior, but that was what my mother wanted and Leigh made it happen. Her knowledge of this business and her ability to personalize the move was so reassuring. All my questions and concerns were addressed and solved to my satisfaction thanks to Leigh. No one wants to move an aged parent out of the comfort of their own home, but when we all realize that such a move is necessary you will not find a better place for them to live next than Massey Springs Senior living community. I highly endorse and recommend Massey Springs. Bowling Green. Kentucky if you are looking for a loving, stable environment for your aged parent to live next. Cameron Koven Pauquette
My mother spent many years at Massey Springs and loved every minute of the experience. The staff and management were always professional and ready to help. They would call us to let us know of changes in my mom no matter how small. She was always treated with respect and attended to in a timely matter. The building and grounds were very well keep and clean. There were always decorations for each holiday and they seem to go all out. We would visit my mom at all different times of the day and night. There was always someone there ready to answer questions or help out if needed. I could go on and on about Massey Springs and how great it is. The bottom line is when my time comes this is where I want to go.
This is the best assisted living facility in Bowling Green. My mother and father live there. They have been there for about a year.My mother needs extensive care which they provide. The employees are professional, personal, and caring. They notice potential problems and are always helpful. The facility is bright and cheery. My parents love the food!
I have often told staff, "I want to live here when the time comes, please save me a room". I visit nearly every week, different times of the day/different days of the week, my brother visits two or three times most every week. My 96 year old mother is a resident since January 2014. We were greeted and helped so very much in the beginning process by Judy F. Judy recognized that this transition time was very stressful for our entire family, especially my mother. She worked with us and Mom to make it possible to choose the very best place for her, Massey Springs. We could not be more pleased with the care my mother receives. Her room always, always is clean, neat and always fresh. Attention is paid to Mom regarding safety issues and she always has her alert necklace around her neck ( which she really doesn't want to wear, however, it is obvious someone reminds her of the need to do so). She is cared for with sweetness, concern and compassion by all staff. The staff is always friendly to me, helpful and willing to discuss any issues arising for my Mom. Meals are terrific, often served with homemade items such as bread and deserts. I must especially praise Kathy the Activities Director! She approaches the residents as if they are her own family. Kathy provides a great variety of activities that meet the specific and unique desires and needs of the residents, understanding that one size does not fit all. She is warm and affectionate with residents, knowing that often older folks are lonely or have outlived many of there friends or close relatives and lost their past active lifestyles. I would recommend Massey Springs to anyone and I truly thank God for the blessings our family has received through our association here.
When my husband passed away, I moved to Bowling Green to be close to my one and only child. They have retired and they're going to be to Iowa because that's where my daughter in-law came from. I am just confused as to what to do right now, whether to stay here in Bowling Green or to be in Iowa. I still went to visit Massey's Springs and I find it very nice. The only problem is it's a little more than my monthly income. Everything there was very nice. It's a new facility but I was just a little surprised with their rooms since they looked small. I was not able to eat there but I heard that it's very good. The residents get 3 meals a day.
