Reviews
for Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
We have had a good experience with the management at this facility. Ashley and Heather have always been there for every question and concern we have had. The care givers have been great, they have some of the friendliest staff. Maggie is an amazing caregiver!
Ashleigh in admissions is the best! She goes above and beyond for each patient! Most importantly she listens to the patient and talks with the staff to come up with resolutions!
I would like to take a minute to recognize Ashley T. She is a true blessing to Oakview! I am a DON of an assisted living near by and I recently had a resident of mine spend some time at Oakview for rehab. Ashley was extremely helpful during his stay and played a big part in his quick recovery. Since he returned to my facility Ashley has done alot of follow up and has even stopped in on her own time to check on him. She has a heart of gold and it is HUGE! This woman is amazing and will always go above and beyond for her residents!!
I only recently went to Oakview to visit a family member, I had not ever been in the facility. I had always heard not the best things about it, but since I had family there I wanted to go visit, I finally can say for myself, the facility is great. The staff, the homelike atmosphere! Really shocked by it, honestly. They've recently had a change in administration and administrative staff, and it's really a great place. Super impressed to say the least! They're working on the cosmetics, but very good home for the residents who live there or decide to rehab there. I will definitely be promoting this facility as it does not get the credit it deserves!
Amazing facility!!!!!! Ashleigh Thomason goes above and beyond for the residents along with the family members and staff. She plans great events and is kind and very giving of her time with it all. I highly recommend the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to any and all who need help or guidance in this field. Just ask for Ashleigh and she will take care of you.
(Posted for my mother, Carol Marler) From the time my husband was admitted to Oakview, Ashleigh Hill made sure he was comfortable and worked to make his stay as pleasant as possible. I was always assured when I couldn’t be there that Ashleigh and Cara Allard would check on him. The rehab department was amazing especially Cassidy and Denise. These ladies along with Keli Tolbert made what can be a bad situation more tolerable. No one wants to be in a facility but when there are such great employees, it makes the stay so much better.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Oakview, and especially about the incredible support I received from Ashleigh, the patient liaison. From the very first moment I spoke with her, I felt like more than just a patient caregiver — I felt genuinely cared for. Ashleigh went out of her way to make sure I understood everything and was always available to answer my questions, no matter how big or small. Her kindness and patience made such a difference during what could have been a stressful time. She made everything easier and made sure I felt supported every step of the way. It’s rare to come across someone who combines professionalism with such genuine compassion, and Ashleigh does it effortlessly. She truly made our experience at Oakview exceptional. I’m so grateful for her help and the level of care received.
Though Oakview was not our first choice, we couldn’t have ended up in a better place for my dad. Only God knew where he should be. Ashleigh made us all feel comfortable and became Dad’s first “girlfriend”. Cara, Cassidy, and Denise were next making him feel even more special during daily therapy. They sat and listened to his stories, making his entire visit seem like home. They became family, and once my father passed away, the care didn’t stop, with texts and calls coming to check on our family as a whole. Oakview is highly recommended!
Oakview is awesome! Ashleigh is amazing, her care for each person and their family is unmatched. I can’t thank her enough!
Great facility! Ashleigh Thomason goes above and beyond for the residents!
Oakview nursing home is a joke in a month there my g/f got pneumonia broke her back and the day they got sick of taking care of her they sent her to senior behavioral at Jackson purchase medical the day she left oakview senior behavioral discovered her lungs were full of blood clots from oakview not giving her a low dose aspirin and keeping her sedated the entire month she was there(note she was there for short term pt for a broken hip)…. The first night she was there her phon charger and plug were stolen out of her room… when she was sent to Jackson purchase medical center they lost all of her personal property 15 sets of clothes 2 backpacks pair of house shoes sneakers etc….tried to get recompensated for all this stuff they told no unless i had all the receipts for everything… dont trust this place administration and staff are all garbage
Horrible care has been given to my great grandmother in the SHORT amount of time she’s been there! Do NOT take your family member here for REHAB. 😑 ETA; Most of the 5 ⭐️ Reviews are from Employees and NOT actual residents or family members. The staff should treat the Residents BETTER than you would treat your own family. The residents shouldn’t have to keep their lights off if they don’t want to, they shouldn’t have to freeze to death, they shouldn’t be WORSE OFF a week later. The care is atrocious!
Amazing Staff, very well maintenenced. Would reccomend
I am very impressed with the facility and the employees. The amount of care and compassion goes above and beyond.

Been with Oakview for 2 yrs now and have enjoyed being part of a team that care about our residents. Resident care is everyone priority in each department. Happy to part of this team !!!!
Team work, clean and friendly atmosphere, residents are happy and employees are always present for their needs
Love this place!!!!! Clean and a good team of people ❤️
I visited the facility this week to meet CEO, Peter Kiongo. I was very impressed with the presentation of the facility upon arrival and the welcome of the receptionist. Mr. Kiongo is friendly and exudes a caring attitude toward the residents and staff. I recommend stopping by for a visit!
Mom has only been here a couple of days, but the staff has been great. They all seem to be really happy and the interaction with the patients shows the care. Watching the interaction in PT was great.
Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a long term care facility located in Calvert City, KY. When you walk in the door, you realize that it has a homelike atmosphere and the staff are very attentive to their patients but also to the families. The atmosphere is happy with lots of activities going on everyday. The patients are happy and well groomed. Lots of laughter and smiles noted throughout the building. Lots of Praise given back to God daily.
Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was nice and very clean. When you walk in, it's a very welcoming atmosphere. I talked to the director there and she was very nice and very informative. They took us around and showed us the rooms. You felt like your loved one was not just going to be another person. I felt like they really cared about them. The facility was well kept. I just saw an empty room, but as you walk in, it's welcoming. It's not dirty. The carpet is not bad. It's kept very clean from my observation. They had a nice dining area. The director was really nice. I met the receptionist and a nurse, and they were all very friendly. I didn't have a bad feeling about any of it, although I didn't see any residents. I would place my mother-in-law there.
The pictures are very wrong for that place
Blessed by God to be close to the church 🙏 still adjusting
Oakview is a wonderful facility filled with caring, compassionate and competent staff. Residents feel at home and taken care of. Families know their loved ones are in good hands at oakview nursing and rehab.
If I could give no stars I would! This place is dirty and the staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. My father was there for no more then 24 hours and had only 1 sweet tea the entire time, they left him to lay in bed for an hour while pushing the call button before helping him and then on top of that and countless other things they refused to acknowledge their wrong doings and continued to call my father a liar. I would strongly recommend using a different facility if you love and care about the well being of your family, friends, etc.
Our family is very thankful for the care Dad is receiving at Oakview. They keep us well informed of his therapy progress, health concerns and his well being. This has been a blessing since we could not visit in person during the COVID pandemic. There are fun events for the residents each week celebrating holidays, having arts and crafts time, and playing games of all kinds to keep them active!
My name is Susie Smith. My mother, my brother and my father-in-law were all residents at Oakview Nursing Home. I would absolutely recommend their facility to anyone in need of rehab or long term care. They have a very homelike environment and everyone treats you like you’re family.
I’m Sherry Vinson and my aunt is in Oakview. They are wonderful to the residents and so kind to their visitors. They’ve done such a great job keeping the Covid out of their facility. I totally recommend Oakview to anyone looking for a rehab and nursing facility.
I wanted to give an updated review for Oakview. Times and have been very challenging for nursing facilities so I want to give a BIG shout out to Oakview's administrator, Jennifer and her amazing staff. They have went above and beyond keeping residents and staff healthy. My mom has lived at Oakview for over 2 years and Jennifer has always been very transparent with me regarding moms healthcare, activities and other matters. I also have to praise Dawn, the Laundry/Housekeeping Director for always making sure moms clothes are laundered and room is clean. David, the Dietary Director always makes sure mom has her favorite foods to eat. Mom's regular nursing staff, Malinda, Amber, Cristina takes excellent care of ALL moms needs and wants. I would recommend Oakview to anyone. Still 5 stars across the board after 2 years. Oakview's staff is definitely part of our family. Thank you again for still taking great care of my mom. We are so blessed to have found such wonderful and caring staff at Oakview. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure mom is comfortable and happy. There are fun activities everyday for the residents to participate in. Delicious and nutritious meals and snacks served in a family oriented dining area. I cannot say enough good things about the care and attention mom receives at Oakview. 5 stars across the board for Oakview staff. A big shout out to Roni the Nursing director and Megan the Social Services Director for great communication to our family. Thank you for taking such good care of my mom.
A very caring and uplifting facility for its residents and employees. The world needs more places like this.
The staff is friendly, helpful and caring. They care for the elders like family because that’s what they are here...family. They not only care for the body but the soul as well. A well rounded facility!!
Very loving and caring staff!
We were blessed to have such a loving staff to care for my father-in-law during his last days with us. He passed this morning, and your staff was amazing. So loving and cared for my mother-in-law as well as she wanted to be by his side. Thank you! May God richly bless you all
Wonderful caring staff. Always pleasant and professional. Great communication to family. Nursing director genuinely cares about staff and residents. She's awesome. Fun daily activities for residents. Delicious meals and snacks served in a family set dining area Found the perfect place for mom. Would recommend Oakview to anyone for long term or short term care.
Homelike atmosphere with caring staff.
Homelike atmosphere with caring staff.
This place is unhumane. My grandfather fell while under there care for a week of Physical therapy. He suffered a broken jaw, cheekbone, collar bone and fracture in his pelvis. After an entire day of me insisting on x-rays he finally received them the following day.. Needless to say I immediately removed him..
It feels more like a hospital than a nursing home!
