Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

I did a surprise inspection as I live out of town with my mother who is a resident; it was marvelous!! My mother’s treatments were beyond exceptional and her feet were fantastically cared for. I was very surprised and recommend this place for family that you care about.

This review has been removed when there were no violations of Google policy! I am the type of person who will always try to do the right thing! Character, integrity, being ethical, fair and providing/presenting top tier quality and professionalism are things I hold dear to my heart. Will your ppl be cared under the Nursing staff! I believe so! Would I send anyone to work under it's leadership and they be treated fairly from the top?! Probably not! So I would tell anyone to be sure you are able to not only interview with the leadership staff but also ask to speak with others in different departments to get a feel for their experience. One of the top questions to ask anyone there is if they feel like it is a fair environment. Then take it from there! It was a pleasure and honor getting to know the residents while there.

This review is on behalf of my mother-in-law who has been WELL taken care of. The staff and administration have been absolutely wonderful. She has been very well taken care of and attended to. The caring, friendly and respectful care has gone a long way and has certainly made a difference in her healing. We cannot think the staff enough for the care and concern that has been shown to our loved one. We could not have asked for better care. My experience with Rivers Edge has just begun. Admission Director, Damita Adams has made my sister's move from a rehabilitation facility to Rivers Edge possible. I spoke with her after learning my sister could not return to assisted living. Her efficiency made the move happen quickly and I was able to do my part from Texas. She was delightful & patient in helping me help my sister through a process that we were unfamiliar with. I will travel to Louisville in the next few days & I look forward to meeting & thanking Damita, Admission Director in person. Kathy Low, Tx

My dad is staying at River Edge Rehabilltation Center. The staff is very scheduled orientated. The facility is well kept along with the great food they serve. They also involve families to interact with the event they have for their residents. My dad has come a long way within two weeks of his stay. This is a 24hr facility in which you can come and go at anytime. I would like to thank Ms D. Adam's for a job well done ✔️ and for the hard work that came along with the process. Thank You River Edge Staff!!!!

I recently admitted my mother to this lovely facility. It is in a beautiful quiet setting. My mother has Alzheimer’s and was no longer safe to live on her own. This was a difficult decision for me to make, but with the guidance of her doctors, referrals were made. My experience with Damita /Admissions director and Christy/activity coordinator, went far better than I ever could expect it. I had So much anxiety regarding this transition and I left feeling very confident in the care she was going to receive and that she be safe. Thank you to every staff member that has cared for my mother thus far, it truly is appreciated.

My dad was place at River Edge Nursing Rehabilitation after a long journey for placement. Thank to Mrs Michelle John putting his name out there. I received a call from Ms Damita Adams that she would like to come and visit my dad. At the age of (90) my dad fell and broke his hip this is the first time my dad has ever been in a hospital. He was released to Park Terrace Health Campus. At the stay there my dad had two falls back to the hospital he went. Park Terrace listed that my dad was combative which he was not and with that listed he was not excepted into other facilities. When Ms Damita Adams came to visit my dad at the hospital she listened and seen that my dad was not that way yes after surgery he was confused. Ms Damita Adams spoke with the case worker Anthony and my dad nurse got them to update my dad paperwork according to his condition . After that Ms Damita Adams had him ready to go to River Edge. She then call me back and told me he could not go because River Edge was not in the network. I then said to her oh my God I can’t believe this. She told me to give her till the morning which I did. She call me the next day with good news. My dad was headed to River Edge. After she got the hospital to update paperwork everybody wanted him. She said to me I’m not going to just let anyone take my dad whom did not want him at first after the foot work she had done. My dad is getting Baths , PT, OT, Speech and eating good . Thank You Ms Damita Adams for your hard work and Thank You River Edge and Staff for excepting my and his family to become part of your family. 🙏🏾G Breckenridge 2024

I have a family member that has been there for the last year. I am grateful she is there. She is well taken care of by a professional staff. Her mental and physical health have improved dramatically from when she was living on her own. Putting a loved one in a nursing facility is never easy so internet reviews can't reflect the reality and complexity of the decision. There is more to this but here is the shortened version. And see any decent reviews were done 2-4 yrs ago so don’t let that fool you. Saw another family post about their family belongings being stolen. Happened to my parents things too. Brand new clothing and new prescription glasses. I took pics of everything to keep track of it all. After they had been moved to a hospital, on separate occasions yet close time frame, I had a call one day telling me to come get their things and the next day when I arrived they didn’t know where they went to. How convenient. RIP Mom and Dad. Wish I would have been wealthy enough to gotten you into a better place or taken care of you at home. Please forgive me. Would NEVER recommend.

I thought my mother was being sent to a "4 star" facility but thanks to this place, my mother died of covid19. Nobody called us to inform us that she had covid19. My mother's property is missing too. They told us to call the ER to find her stuff but they told us she didn't arrive to the hospital with anything. Thank you for robbing us of a wonderful mother, wife, aunt, and friend
