i was seen by nurse PA-C Flem in the ER. she came in and listened to all my concerns and took the time to address them all despite being super busy. she really cared about my condition and provided me with the best care possible and left me feeling reassured at time of discharge. she defiantly deserves a shoutout for her excellent care and compassion. if someone from the team could pass this on to her i would greatly appreciate it thanks!

CT Scan hidden charges… They never told me that there will be a charge from the CT scan technician… months later we received a hefty bill from (radiology associates of Northern KY) , is this even legit? Why don’t you inform your customers of this charge upfront?????? This is stealing.

Well I have not came to the hospital in a long time now they’re remodeling the inside and adding another building which is close of being done it looks much nicer and the employees are knew I haven’t seen here at st. Elizabeth Florence before they have been working pretty quick on July 1st 2025 11:14 a.m. I got checked in got my vitals checked x-ray done already results be back soon they are much nicer then the old employees that use to work here they was rude and disrespectful so this time I have a better experience I’m getting respected they showing respect asking if I need anything etc there are nurses and doctors they do and there patients it’s all about there patients and not because just money the other employees that use to work here I think it was all about money not there patients thanks guys for the help if there is another time I need to come back to the ER I’ll do another review and do more stars if I get the same how I got treated

The hospital itself is great, very clean, friendly staff, good food (even the patient food looked really good). The ER room we had to go through before hospitalization was not the greatest, which I understand with it being ER and can get very busy. Very long wait (both the lobby and once you are taken to a room in the back).

Update 6/25- This hospital allowed & assisted a relative of mine(Timothy Hampton of Dillsboro IN) in stealing MY car from their parking lot. I was never asked if he was allowed to take the car nor did they ever notify me he was taking it(I have seen it in his driveway, verified it is my missing vehicle). Tim is good buddies with the hospital staff(it us mot the first thing he has stolen from me). I intend to take drastic action against both St E and Tim for stealing my car. Also as a leftist I will never step foot in a "religious" hospital again as they are all terrible. ------------------------------------------------- Updated review 12/24- Due to the following mistreatment, I intend to contact attorneys licensed in KY to sue St Elizabeth for malpractice. I went to the Florence ER again on 10/14 for and enlarged boil expecting an antibiotic prescription, as I had no choice in where else to go. Instead their ER team insisted the abscess required immediate surgery. After the surgery I had brief heart palpitations due to my stomach being empty(normal for me) and they refused to even give me a sip of water. The decide I now need an angiogram as they are certain I am about to have heart failure. They want to transfer me to Edgewood & constantly try to guilt trip me over the fact I am trying not to lose the room I rented or my belongings in the room. After arranging to have someone collect my things, they finally say they can do the angiogram at Florence, which showed NOTHING wrong. They REFUSE to listen to patients so they can run needless, expensive tests. 2 weeks in the hospital recovering with an 8" deep hole in me from this surgery, which I am now convinced I did not need, but surgery makes them more money than prescribing drugs. After that they arrange to send me to an off-site care facility to further recover. Upon being transferred I resume taking y own OTC vitamins which they denied me, seeing the wound suddenly start healing much faster. They promised me that my car would be safe in their parking lot. Last week an acquaintance checked the lot & surprise, my car is missing. Calls to their security only get me clueless & vague "we don't have record of towing It but we might have by mistake" so it Is unlikely that car will ever be seen again. Unnecessary surgery, unnecessary tests & my vehicle is now likely lost when they promised me they would keep it. On top of that they never once brought up the lung cancer diagnosis from August. I can not believe all those doctors looked at my chart & did not see that, so they did not care about my long-term health, only in making money. Under no circumstances will I allow St E to treat me for any reason in the future. The health insurance they have on file for me is also no longer valid & they will not be paid if they treat me against my wishes. ------------------ Original review 08/24- Went in dizzy, difficulty breathing, etc. Sat for 10 minutes unnoticed by staff until I walked up to the desk. ER waiting room and way out were dirty due to "construction". Was taken back, blood taken, EKG performed. Led to a room, barely able to walk, by a nurse moving faster than me. Sat on a bed that felt like a steel slab. Given IV then they had to take more blood anyway. 2 chest x-rays performed then abdominal CT scan, waited 5 hours for results they said would take 30 minutes. Other doctor did basic feel tests. All of that so they could give me a vague idea of the problem, if I want a more thorough diagnosis I would have to schedule more complex (and expensive) tests. No meds, some sent to a pharmacy I am not fit to drive to. Discharged when walking in a circle for 10 seconds did not make me pass out. Unfit to go home, staff said would call contacts but apparently did not happen. Have advanced lung cancer but they could not tell me that? Staff were sort of courteous but acted disinterested in me. They never even asked for a photo ID at check in which was odd, I could have given any info.

The nurse Ashley in post op is the most disrespectful rudest insensitive meanest person I have ever had to deal with. I had a conversation with my husband she rudely intervened and as I kept telling her to leave me alone she kept pushing her opinion. We will never be back there and I highly suggest others as well to seek other hospitals. I hope this is not the first complaint on her and she gets fired because hospitality is not for her.

Terrible experience! Again and again and again, I call St Elizabeth to get a quote on my procedures and I am transferred from one department to another to another to another. Today, I spent about 4 hours on the phone with Saint Elizabeth's trying to get a quote on my upcoming colonoscopy. I probably spoke to eight different people consuming hours of their time. Finally, Heather in estimates (bless her!) got me a quote: $5,000 for my colonoscopy, not including the cost of the anesthesiologist, which is provided by a separate company that they cannot give me a quote for. I am infuriated, and I do not understand why getting a quote for a customer for an appointment that is occurring well in advance is not an automated process that doesn't even involve a single human. I should get a quote delivered directly to my email inbox within a day of making the appointment! (I am insured with United Healthcare Choice Plus, and I can't afford this colonoscopy... Hope I don't die!! If I do, I'll blame you, oh holy, saintly and benevolent Elizabeth!!)

Will never go to this location again. "Nurse Grace" clearly does not like her job in the ER. I was absolutely shocked by the way she was acting & talking. What makes it even worse, is she actually made a note that I yelled at her. My door was wide open. I couldn't have done so w/ out everybody hearing. Worst medical staff member I have ever came in contact w/ & I feel sorry for everyone in every room she enters. Someone should really check into her because she made my whole stay absolutely miserable. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

The doctors here got their medical degrees online for $7.99 a month (joke but wouldn't be surprised) and should all be fired. My son(infant) was displaying signs of having a sore throat, so we brought him in, where the doctor who took the X-ray or ct informed us he wasn't sick, but his throat was swollen and they couldn't find anything stuck in his throat. So they sent us all the way to Cinci Children's where we waited and worried for 5 hours to find out there was a plastic square in his throat. So the doctors barely worried about what was actually wrong, and were oddly gun-ho about saying it was our fault and not normal seeing as there was nothing in his throat(if only I could tell you how stupidly wrong you were)

If I could give zero stars I would, I have never been treated so poorly. I have had good experiences and bad experiences with St Elizabeth, but this was the worst. I was seen in the ED very early in the morning on Sunday May 4th the waiting room was empty and I could clearly see when I was brought back to a room nurses and staff huddled together chatting so again not busy at all, yet I was treated as if I was a bother. For me a trip to the ER is a last resort as I have commercial Anthem insurance and an ER visit is not cheap, but I was in severe pain, had severe swelling and was concerned of a bad infection needing iv antibiotics as I have needed in the past since I was getting worse on my oral antibiotics. When I arrived at the ER half my face was swollen and I was shaky from pain I was treated rudely by the triage nurse not once asked about my pain and put into a back corner room and given no nurse call light. When a Dr did see me he decided I needed an injection of antibiotics for my infection and again not once asked about my pain and not even offered an ibuprofen or tylenol. The two nurses who came in to give me the two injections again rude, abrupt and no compassion at all even though at this point I am crying from pain. I myself work in healthcare at another hospital and I thought those in healthcare were supposed to be kind and compassionate, not the staff I encountered at St E this Sunday morning. The only person who showed any kindness and compassion was the young lady from registration who confirmed my insurance information, she even told me I hope you feel better. Kudos to her for showing kindness and compassion to a patient who was very sick and in a great amount of pain. People come to you for care when they sick and vulnerable, they deserve compassion and care not to be treated as if they are a bother.

Apparently everyone that goes to the ER for a fall, broken bone, or torn ligament is seeking drugs. Saint E is utter garbage. If your hurt, sick, or on the brink of death, go to your local veterinary clinic. You'll get treated better.

When you call the number for the hospital instead of giving you the main number to the hospital you get the number for the hospital inpatient physician. What a waste of time when all I want is the patient room number.

Quality patient care is what team Debbi, Charity and Moriah excel in at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence on 3 Northwest. These three women provide excellent patient care and are willing to work outside of the box to get positive outcomes for their patients. Whether it was Moriah helping me by promptly answering my call button; or, Debbi adding a humidifier to my oxygen to prevent a future bloody nose, these women helped my body recover in an atmosphere of constant respect and open communication. Thank you, Debbi for leading by example; Charity for communicating goals of care and Moriah assisting in the seemingly endless tasks and making a concerned patient feel her care was in competent hands.

Thank you again for sending on my way and being able to continue to work. God Bless you all

These people have no idea what they are doing, My Son went in for a CT scan and an ultrasound today for his liver, they told him he had to drink this white stuff for his test well he didn't have to drink the white stuff because they do it by iv now, now we have to go back for an ultrasound because they screwed up. So now my son has to go through this again. You people are really something else.

Nurses and doctors have been great. But when you can't even get a pillow, that is ridiculous. We have been asking for one since she got in here. It's a hospital, they should have pillows! They charge enough for treatment they can afford pillows!

Icu is EXCELLENT!!! Joseph, Lucy (though she's not there anymore) and I believe ones name was Lindsey were absolutely amazing. There were others but I didn't catch their names. But they made me feel cared for and were very attentive and quick to respond to my needs. They had amazing bed side manners and really were comforting when I was scared. These are the people you want taking care of you on the some of the scariest days of your lives. However, I can't say the same for the ER department. I was neglected for 2 hours, laying in a cold sweat, extreme pain and they left no nurse light for me. I ended up having to yell out for help, and it took 30 minutes till someone finally heard me, they'd leave and never come back. I wasn't the only patient that night crying out for help so there were others not being attended to as well. It was very scary and even though my experience in other departments have been excellent, I am now hesitant to return to the ER there. I'm sure they're understaffed, overworked and burnt out. I'm a pretty laid back patient, and I don't complain much but this experience shook me up a bit. Something definitely needs to be looked into to enhance the quality of care. Update....after 2.5 years of being chronically ill and trying this hospital many many times I have to say I wouldn't go here for a paper cut. This and Edgewood are full of drs and nurses that couldn't care less about their patients.

On Thursday night 11/28/24 I want into St E Florence for a possible finger fracture. After having vitals checked I was taken back but not put into a room. Instead, I was placed in a chair 15 ft from the ambulance bay. Let’s keep in mind that it was 30 degrees out that night and the doors were constantly opening. Sat for about 15 minutes when this very cheerful nurse practitioner came up to me to say she was going to go read my x-rays. I looked at her like she had 4 heads and simply said, “what x-rays”. None were taken. She walked away saying she would go find out what was going on. 15 minutes later a girl from radiology came to get me for a CT scan. While walking there I ask her what she was scanning. She was like, your head and neck. At this point I was starting to get pissed and ask why, there was nothing wrong with my head and neck. She got smart and said “well you can refuse “. I refused immediately and she turned and walked me back to my chair. 15 minutes later, 2 x-ray techs and a portable x-ray machine came up to me and took 3 pictures of my hand. Eventually the nurse practitioner came back and said it was not broken and someone would be back soon to discharge me. Not one single person touched my hand. The wound was not cleaned up and the finger was not wrapped. I was sent on my merry way. Monday morning, after a painful weekend I decided to see my primary care physician who immediately referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. Let’s also keep in mind that I had just received in my my chart a radiology report stating that my finger was NOT broken. Was able to get into an orthopedic surgeon right away and he pulled up the x-rays that were taken Thursday night. Immediately he stated, oh it’s broken here and here. Not only did I have one break but 2. So much for the incompetence of the hospital and the radiologist. Ultimately, I’ve ended up having to have surgery to put a 3” rod in my finger. This has been a rather painful, traumatic and expensive ordeal with no one from St E other than my primary care physician and my orthopedic surgeon giving a crap about this entire ordeal. No one has responded to my repeated requests for information. I’m ready to go to social media and possibly even a lawyer. Let’s see what this platform provides!

I have had the most extraordinary care during my stay St Elizabeth Florence t 2South. Dr Renard is a wonderful doctor that has great bedside mannerism and explains things to you as if to let you know he cares. The nurses the CNAs the RTS housekeeping and kitchen helpers have all been wonderful. All willing to go above and beyond to help. They all did this with smiles and pleasant personalities what a great feeling when you are ill. This unit has set the bar high. Thank each of you for everything.

This hospital has MONOPOLIZED ALL of Northern Kentucky to include independent physician practices they took over. They fought Christ Hospital from opening up in Northern Kentucky for years. They have no competition and their services are well below subpar. Sad that this has been allowed to happen! This will speak volumes..... A friend was having a heart attack and was being life-flighted to St. Elizabeth. Life-flighted mind you. He told them DO NOT TAKE ME TO ST. ELIZABETH. They argued with him, he won and was taken to Christ hospital at the risk of his own life. Let that sink in. More than likely, you will leave in worse condition than when you arrived at this hospital.

Was here for over two hours. Came in because passed out. Had blood pressure 175/125. Never did hook me up to anything just did a ct scan. Drew blood and left in the room for over an hour without anyone coming in. Would think if my blood pressure was this high in the ambulance they would have me hooked up to something. But no. Dr just said we will come in later and check on you.

So as I lie there pain begging for help nobody came to help me, there was no sympathy, come to find out I had septice this blood disease which caused a muscle infection in my body which rapidly kills your muscles at a very rapid rate and causes severe pain! It takes over a year to recover. I was great pain, if you value your life or your loved ones life do not take them to this hospital!

I'm not happy with the service I received. Went in with high blood glucose (over 200 and had nothing to eat all day), nauseous, dizzy spells, and extreme fatigue. They wouldn't let me have water. They put an IV in but was not given saline solution (which would have brought my blood glucose down). I feel like they treated me differently because I am homeless and on a state insurance. The nurses were nice, but the acting doctor didn't do anything to help my situation improve. Instead, I was sent home (to the hotel I am staying in) with high blood glucose (over 200 & has been that way for weeks, sometimes going higher). They should have given me a saline drip. That is what other hospitals do every time! St. Elizabeth Hospital Florence needs to do better!

Took my mom to see her foot doctor in the medical building and the set up in the handicap parking area is a mess. We had to walk past the entrance to the building and then walk back up after crossing the street. All because there is gravel lined along the street which blocks anyone who is using a wheelchair or a walker from being able to cross in a straight line to the entrance from where you parked. Not a very good design when you are walking with an elderly person that already has problems getting around. Maybe try adding another place in the middle for a crosswalk.

Came in with a possible broken ankle. After waiting for quite some time after being taken back, someone finally brought me some ice to put on it, while I was in horrible pain waiting. They took xrays, told me it was indeed a fracture but I wouldn't need surgery, it would heal on its own and orthocincy would put me in a cast or boot a couple days later. 4-6 week recovery. Go to orthocincy two days later, they retake xrays and low and behold I do need surgery, screws & a plate, 8-12 week recovery time. How do they misdiagnose something like that so badly when they also took xrays... unbelievable

My daughter is currently in ICU at this horrible place. Today was my first day at this place. The Employees was very disrespectful, rude and prejudice. I am 67 years of age a very nice and laid back person. I was very disappointed at their rudeness and behavior. They treated my daughter as though she had AIDS which she DONT. Before going to the hospital I called to get the status of my daughter's condition, only to be spoken to in a very unpleasant manner. He deliberately slammed the telephone down and hung up. I am waiting on the Patient Advocate to return my call. They probably won't but I will certainly take this matter further.

Dr. Soung H Cho is an amazing dr! He actually listens to his patients and shows empathy. Dr. BANKS...is one of the best doctors I've ever had. I'm hospitalized quite often. So I've had very good stays and traumatizing stays. But everytime I've had Banks as my dr, I know that I'm going to be taken care of. He is top notch. He takes his time, involves the patient in the care plan, always makes sure my pain is managed and I'm comfortable. He never just randomly pulls the rug out from underneath you, he makes sure that you're both in agreement to the care plan before he leaves your room. And he's truly full of knowledge and wisdom. I wish he was my doctor all the time because it's so refreshing to have someone who actually cares about you as a patient. You're not just a number to him. I've had truly horrifying experiences with other drs. One time I was waiting to be transferred to ICU as a burn victim (I had SJS, blisters were popping up all over me and lips felt like they were peeling off my face. PAIN was almost unbearable. And I had a dr refuse to treat my pain while I waited. He looked right at me and said "your pain isn't my problem" I was speechless. All I could do was just cry. I'm not a difficult person. I don't cause a scene and I'm pretty much a door mat when it comes to standing up for myself. Drs like that are absolutely detrimental. It made me so scared to return to the ER that I refused to go for days when I really needed to go asap. I won't say his name but i hope someone reports him. My pain was his problem. And his treatment of me could make me so scared to come in that I ignore my symptoms and die. Don't become a dr if you don't want to help people!!
