Reviews
for Morning Pointe of Lexington
My husband has thrived since moving here a year ago. Very clean and excellent nursing services. Therapy services are the best. Lots of fun activities most of the day. Monthly family dinner/party nights. It is a real family here w such a loving atmosphere. My husband has made lots of new friends w the residents and staff. Highly recommend.
The staff from Morning Pointe of Lexington was very kind and tried to be helpful, but they were too expensive for mom to go to. They were very informative, and they told me everything. And all the questions that I asked, they had the answers, too. So I was very pleased with the people that I talked to. I also remember the facility was nice and clean. And their dining area seemed very nice.
Wonderful community with great staff!
This is a wonderful place that truly cares for seniors. Watching them engage and the joy they bring is so heart warming.
Great environment both for associates and residents. The homelike feel is unmatched, and the care and hospitality are something to be proud of! I’m so blessed to be a part of this team and to have the honor to be just a small part of our residents lives.
I would recommend the community. The best part of the community is they take care of my loved one, this allows us to be family. There is nothing at this time that I would change about the community.
I placed my mom there several weeks ago and let me say this was not an easy decision but the staff and residents there made her transition seamless. She was welcomed by each director and several resident ambassadors. She raves about the food. There are tons of activities to keep them engaged. I cannot thank them enough for all they do!
Love seeing the smiling faces as I walk in the doors! ❤️
I would give this facility a 10 if I could. My mother was reluctant to move out of her home but needed help w insulin injections and other medication and health issues. After much research and several recommendations we moved her into Morning Pointe. The facility itself is beautiful...looks and feels like a "home". Lots of wide hallways to walk in and rooms for every kind of activity..of which there is a daily large selection. The thing that makes this place a 10 though is its staff. From the front desk to the activities director to the nurses and the incredible aides, the people providing the care are amazing. Caring and compassionate, energetic and motivating. All the days I visited I never saw any staff member in a mediocre or bad mood. They truly love the residents and appear to be especially chosen for that trait. They would joke with and cajole my mom, make her laugh and help her curl her hair and put lipstick on. I would name names but I don't want to leave anyone out. The nurses were in contact with us whenever necessary and were totally on top of her health issues. It is impossible to recommend this place too highly. Being in the medical field I know what often is available for our seniors...this place is somewhere I would move into!!!
My father moved to morning point in 2014 and he loved this place. There were a few things to get use to because he was a very independent individual but the place really grew on him. The staff was great and caring. The administration was very easy to work with and understanding off all our needs and his stubborness. I would highly reccommend Morning Pointe for anyone's loved one. Five stars hands down. Thank you from the Johns Family.
My 83-year-old aunt moved into Morning Pointe three years ago this coming St.Patrick’s Day, and both of us could not be happier. I visit her everyday and look forward to the visits. The facility is beautiful - it has Stickley furniture in the common areas 🤯. Morning Pointe does not look or smell like a lot of nursing facility. Always spotlessly clean. Meals are served in the dining room with tablecloths, cloth napkins, seasonal centerpieces, and - best of all - really good food. The staff is extraordinary! Activities daily for those who wish to participate and lots of special events throughout the year. I could not be more impresses with Morning Pointe; my aunt loves it there, and I know that she (at this stage of her life) is receiving exceptional care. Thanks, staff! 👍👍
Take well care of the residence
We chose The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Lexington for my mother because we felt comfortable with them and partly because they were very close to where we live. They have very good service, the food is excellent, and the staff is great. We're not having any issues. Everything is fine.
I have had to provide the care my mother was supposed to receive i. e. assistance with bathing. had to clean bathroom. change bed linen, make the bed and do her laundry. The workers relied on me to do what they were supposed to do. When I was not able to do these things. I was confronted by the workers demanding that I do what I had been doing.
We visited Morning Pointe of Lexington. Their memory unit was detached from the assisted living unit. The staff was friendly and gave us a good tour. It all looked presentable and acceptable to us. One of the things that kept us from seriously considering them was that they felt like my Mom would have to go in to the memory unit instead of the assisted living unit. They gave us the impression that she wouldn't qualify to live there in the memory unit. My brother had a former neighbor that was a resident there and we visited her and she was quite pleased with the place. It was one of the newer places in Lexington.
Amazed
Dignity, respect and compassion. For me three very important words used to describe how my father was treated by the wonderful caregivers and staff at the Morning Pointe East Facility. Very late in my father's remarkable life he became in need of 24 hour professional care. I am so thankful I discovered Morning Pointe as I couldn't have asked for, or found, a better facility for him. The level of care he received was top-notch. He truly was treated with dignity, respect and compassion which I know he greatly appreciated as did I.
My aunt is in Morning Pointe of Lexington. She's doing very well there, so we're going to have her stay there. The care seems to be good. They didn't come up to the room too much, so we did talk to them about giving her a bath more frequently. She's getting to know the people that are around her, and she's meeting new people and getting friends there. At first, it was a little difficult, but she's starting to like it. They have a lot of activities for her. She was doing bingo, and she had her hair done there. They play cards, and they have a cafeteria. They let your family eat there when you go to visit, and the room seems good. The food is not too bad, but it's not the best. There are different varieties of food.
This senior living facility is beautiful! I love coming to visit my friend here. The staff is so pleasant, the food is great and the activities are wonderful! My favorite part is they are pet friendly so my friend is allowed to keep her fur baby! I would recommend this facility to anyone.
I visited The Lantern at Morning Pointe. It was fine. It is something we would definitely consider when the time comes. They had two buildings, and one of them was for memory care. The staff was fine. This community was very impressive. Everything was satisfactory. It was very acceptable.
Carefully consider what exact needs your loved one has prior to visiting here. Very disappointing experience where money is the bottom line.
Morning Pointe is a new facility. They told me they had full staffing as far as a doctor and a nurse, but they had not completely filled their staff yet. They were versatile. They had rooms where you have a couple; they had small and large rooms. If somebody feels like their family member needs medical attention 24/7, Morning Pointe will be the place.
My mother-in-law is in the Morning Pointe and it is excellent. It's an Alzheimer's center of excellence. They keep them in groups of 7 and 8 with 2 or 3 attendants and they are watched very carefully. They are doing a really good job. You can walk in at any time, and there's no problem. Everybody knows what's going on. You will not find any surprises. If you have any question about the bill or rules, they know it and if they can't answer, they will refer you to the manager. They have it together. They do have a good communication with the family. They call me about her clinic care or if there is anything that she likes or what kind of interest that she has. They don't know when I am coming, but every time I go there, it is the same. They have her in group and they know exactly where she is. If anybody has any questions or concerns, they call me. Every month there is something that makes her life valuable -- like hobbies. They are really into it. We had family day in September and we had dinner with her. We ate salad, lasagna, bread, cheesecake, green beans, coffee and it was good. It seems to me they serve a good diet for her. She didn't have any teeth, so lasagna is good for her. I will recommend it to anyone because they do a fantastic job.
The one off Richmond Rd, is not good. Couple have had bad experiences and the people cannot get their act together and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. SO expensive. I had 7, yes SEVEN tell me to try Sayre Christian Village, ( 2 were ombudsmen who do not have this as their territory and not associated with it) What a difference and much, much cheaper. They go out of their way for the residence. Sayre in for the care, not the profit. Amazing the difference. They (Morning Point) wanted to put mom in memory care, they day we were to move in, changed their minds. Wanted to up her room several thousands a month. Her doctor said she didn't need it!! They had no idea why they wanted her in "memory care." Mom fixes own breakfast, and attend sewing classes and exercise classes and many other things. She is so happy. All Morning point wanted was her money. She pays almost 4 grand less a month where she is. I'd think twice unless your loved one has lots of money. There are two well known people at Sayre, and they love it there also, can afford allot more, but prefer Sayre. I can see why. If you have the money to spare, go to Morning Point. You'll run into problems there.
Morning Pointe was brand new and very nice. They seemed to be well set up and well organized. I saw a typical model room. Everything looked good and positive.
