for The Spring House at Louisville
Don't let the sales director or administrative staff try to sell them. I also wouldn't waste my time It's awful . Awful. Awful . This has nothing to do about one person directly . The entire facility is ran poorly . And my mom wasn't a priority They didn't follow through with the things we signed off on and had every excuse as to why. Poor communication skills too Let the residents sell the people . It's a ghost town . Take an entire tour of the facility even memory care. Get everything in writing . Make sure people taking care of our loved ones speak English or can at least converse.
What we like the most about The Spring House is the staff that works there
I toured The Spring House at Louisville. It was a very nice facility. It was very well maintained. It seemed to be updated, had very nice decor, and was very clean. It had a very good area for people to gather. The dining facility was very nice. Everything about it was very nice. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, very friendly, and very professional.
My Mom was only at Springhouse for two days before she passed away…please send me an assessment form to complete on the rehab center she was in before coming to Springhouse…it was The Willows at Springhurst on Hurstborne Lane in Louisville, Ky.
Hats off to all the staff. My mom is happy there the rooms are nice. The place is huge. They are phenomenal facility. My mom has made lifelong friends her and I truly believe that those relationships are adding to my mom being alive. I count it a blessing. [Name removed] and his staff are great.
Great Facility! The staff is like Family and treat the residents with exceptional care. I highly recommend looking into this new gem in J-town
The Facility is nice and well put together..[name removed] is an excellent General Manager and cares about the patrons at Spring House at Louisville..The care is excellent and is highly recommend for anyone that wants to move into their facility..
I liked everything about The Spring House at Louisville. I would live there. It's beautiful, spic and span, and meticulous. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and professional. They gave me numbers that I could call even though I couldn't use their services. It was immaculate. They had a couple of different dining areas and they were huge and had very comfortable seating. It's friendly and welcoming. The room size was adequate. The layout was very nice.
Spring House has been wonderful. They have been understanding, helpful, and even attended a Dr appt on my behalf because I couldn't be there. They don't have a lot of residents yet but really want to be there for them and care. We recently had to call in hospice for extra support and they have been really good with them coming in. Staff is friendly, of course everyone has their moments that you wish or know they could do better. The director [name removed] has been great to work with.
You all did so much for us and you all looked out for my grandma and you all took good care of her while she was still there but I just can't believe she wasn't here for valentine's day it's so hard without her were all going to miss her like crazy now that she's up in heaven with my grandpa and my Grammy and they all now crossed the rainbow 🌈 Bridge 💖😢😭
I can't convey enough how pleased I am with Spring House at Louisville Senior Living. Thanks to the over-and-beyond meticulous attention and assistance overwhelmingly provided by the director, Jason, my sister's sudden need for placement turned out to be without stress and an absolute positive experience. Through the entire process, Jason helped to ease the anxiety for both my sister and family. He proved extremely capable in solving challenges, making my sister feel comfortable and at home with a wholehearted welcome and personable personality. Most important, recognizing the need for my sister to continue with necessary medical healthcare including seeing her primary care doctor and cardiologist, Jason immediately reached out to both offices and made the appointments. Likewise, he reliably keeps me posted as I live out of state, proving himself to be caring and efficient. Lastly, no one looks forward to putting their love-one in assistance living, but when necessary it has to be done. Thanks to Jason and the entire Spring House staff, I and her family feel better and confident we made the right choice with Spring House. While I'm not sure how the assistant living community's vision statement reads, I'm pretty sure Jason and his staff team undoubtedly exemplify its mission. Thank you again. Regina W.
Dementia is not one size fits all, and neither are memory care facilities. My partner has been living At Spring House for 2 1/2 months now, and I absolutely love this place for him! It’s HUGE and it feels like hotel living, not memory care living ! The rooms are amazing, They are freshly renovated, large and have really nice bathrooms and showers that can accommodate wheelchairs if needed . They have their own chef who prepares really amazing meals and makes the best cookies I’ve had in a long time! Because the facility has recently opened after being renovated from a convention center, there are not a lot of residents right now. This has actually been great for my partner. He does not become overstimulated , and gets lots of extra attention from the wonderful staff. The staff are extremely sweet and friendly, and I always look forward to seeing them when I visit. They take really good care of my partner, much better than the last place he was at. The general manager, Jason, has gone above and beyond for me. He actually brought my partner and the larger pieces of furniture over from the last facility because I didn’t have anyone to help me move. I can’t recommend this place enough! I wish I would’ve known about this place much sooner.
The rooms are about average in size but there are no closets so creativity using space saving storage furnishings is a must. There are long entry halls into the rooms which made a nice spot to place a portable closet for my mother. Floor cabinets in the bathroom work well for towels and wash clothes as well as personal care items and a narrow multi-tier floor shelf by the sink is helpful as well. The inside of the building is beautiful and huge. There is a lot of space for visitations from family and they have lovely spaces to gather in. The staff are very kind and attentive. I am still getting to know several of them but the ones I have met have been great. Some of the staff do have heavy Latino accents and might make communication a little challenging at times. I have a hearing impairment, so this is a little uncomfortable for me when it happens but you couldn't ask for nicer people. They truly are a caring and polite bunch. My mother's condition improved greatly immediately upon moving into the facility. I remember her very first reaction when we pulled up to the facility to take a tour, she gasped and said "They have Mayan columns!" My mother has been to Cancun, Mexico more times than I can count. It is her favorite place in the world aside from where she was born and raised. It was a good sign and a great start. Prior to going to Spring House, she stayed in bed, rarely ever left her room, she wasn't getting any exercise, she was losing weight from not eating well, among other challenges. Once she moved into Spring House, she immediately began spending long periods of time out of her room in the dining area, her appetite has greatly improved, she's been taking with other residents and she has even watched some TV in the entertainment area in what I am just going to call the great hall because that is what it reminds me of. It's a dining room and entertainment room combined and it's massive. I hope in time they will put up some privacy fencing and create some outdoor gardens. At present there isn't a very pleasant view out the window of my mother's room but I am working on creating a window garden to make the window beautiful itself. I'm also planning to put a hummingbird feeder and bird house outside her window. It's a new facility, so it's a work in progress. I look forward to seeing what they eventually do with the outdoor areas around the building. The facility my mother was in previously was horrible so there is a stark difference to me so far with Spring House. I also feel like my mother is much safer in this facility as well as the area. They have a great referral program. I hope to be able to refer a few new people to the facility with the hopes of being able to save enough money to obtain a Handpan eventually (they are incredibly expensive), learn how to play it and then play for the residents. They have the most lovely, soothing, relaxing sound which I feel would greatly benefit the residents and to my surprise, I cannot seem to find any Handpan players in the Louisville area (I was going to see if I could find someone willing to volunteer some of their time) or if there are, they are well hidden or perhaps learning still how to play themselves. If you are bringing your loved one to Spring House, I hope we will meet and be friends in the near future. The staff will know who I am and you're welcome to reach out to me if you have questions you'd like to talk with a resident family member about. I wish you and your loved one all the best. God bless!
The Spring House facility has been a wonderful choice for me to make for my husband. The staff from [name removed] who is the director, [name removed] the receptionist and all the aides and nurses are the best. They all really care for my husband and all residents. Their patience with all the residence is wonderful and it’s not an easy job. They know how best to navigate each person needs.
Spring House of Louisville is the most wonderful place ever to put your love one the coordinator all of the staff are the greatest and so pleasant and understanding. The employees all of them are the greatest ever. I love each and every one of them. I am so grateful to each and every one of them. I would recommend them to anyone to put your loved one in this home.
We chose The Spring House at Louisville for my brother-in-law. It's an unbelievably nice facility where the food is great. The attention to his care is top notch and he seems to enjoy it and like it. The staff is very attentive and extremely professional. This facility is a renovated hotel complex, so his room is very nice. It's a large room. It has a very safe and large bathroom with plenty of safety features. Other than that, it has a nice big window to look out, plenty of room, and extremely clean. For memory care, they have a very large common space with couches and a TV that my brother-in-law can walk down to. There are several tables where they have card games or other things that he can participate in. The amenities feel very spacious and new. It doesn't feel like an old-age home facility. It's very, very new and modern.
My brother in law moved in 2 weeks ago. After an extensive search we chose Spring House for his memory care living. The managers and staff have gone above and beyond to make things work smooth and as effortless as possible. Great peope, great care great food. Can
This new facility created out of a convention center with hotel! The rooms are warm and inviting and the activities are amazing and includes a complete movie theater! The food is presented by a chef with excellent choices. The General Manager is concerned and connected to every admission!
