Reviews
for The Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility
The one star is for three or four people that work there. My mother was there for short term rehab. I have never encountered such unprofessionalism. Rude and absolutely no compassion. One of the nurse aides was argumentative with my mom and seemed like she hated her job. No compassion whatsoever. I reported her. I was there when she was so inconsiderate. My mom was in ICU, no one from facility called until over a week later to “check on her”, left me a message stating she was officially discharged from nursing home and what do they need to do with her things. Tried to call to talk to the person who called, all I ever got when trying to talk to her was voicemail. Left a message, never heard from them again. Very inconsiderate , no compassion and have absolutely no empathy.
Do NOT leave your family member here if you have any other option. Although, there is a handful of people working here that truly care about the residents and try to do their job, they are completely overworked because most don’t care and don’t want to actually work. The administrator hides in his office with his door closed. Office staff are useless. Most of the “nurses” get mad every time you ask for anything. Meds are rarely given on schedule and everyone has an excuse for everything. The most unprofessional group of individuals I’ve ever dealt with. I was lied to on more than one occasion. I had to ask same question numerous times to numerous individuals to get answer. No one in building could actually make a decision. Rooms were not always clean or in good repair. Sadly, patient care is not their top priority. Like I said, there are 5 or 6 individuals that I will never forget for the care and kindness they provided to my mother. As for the others, I will never understand why you chose this profession, because you truly don’t belong in a residential care setting. Between incompetence and lack of caring, I honestly don’t know where you should be working.
My dad was there for rehab for 6 weeks. Everyone was great--very freindly and went out of their way to help my dad and get him whatever he needed or wanted. The place was very clean and smelled wonderful.
This is not a nursing home for caring, compassionate and knowledgeable staff: from the medical director to the aides. The staff is directly responsible for multiple injuries to residents. They don't try to help residents. The call lights go off for hours on end or they just go in a reset it to make it stop going off. I have had a family member at this nursing home for a while now and I fear they are slowly killing them. My family member needs assistance with being fed and never gets the assistance. in the morning, family member is not woke up to eat breakfast. Family member has wounds due to not being turned and let sit/lay too long. I have seen too much going on in this facility to suggest it to anyone. If I could give it negative stars, I would. It really needs to have its Medicare/Medicaid certification revoked due to endangering the lives of others. I HIGHLY ADVISE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER NURSING HOME, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PLACEMENT OF YOUR LOVED ONE! Don't let the nice-looking building deceive you - remember, don't judge a book by its cover. Don't expect it to be a fairytale book when in all reality, it is sad tale of lack of empathy, care and compassion.
My father-in-law has been at The Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility for five weeks. This facility is very clean. The staff and nurses are friendly, compassionate, and caring. We are pleased with the care he has received so far.
This is the absolute worse facility to take your loved ones. When I say neglect, I mean neglect. If u want a pretty facility, the Terrace is where u go to, but if u want care for your loved ones, please go somewhere else!! I’m giving a one star because my loved one has been one to not been taking care of. If u have love ones in there, get them out.
My mother went to the Terrace about a month ago and their rehab(pt,ot) are amazing. In six days they had her up and going!!
The terrace is a wonderful place for your loved ones , my dad has been in there for 3 months and I could not ask for better care for him it is very clean and always smells great when you walk ,in all the nurses have been wonderful and very helpful and Ashley and Brooke is wonderful always willing to help in anyway they can , it is a great place if you ever need a nursing facility for your loved ones , thanks to all the staff there for caring for my dad
A family member has been at the terrace for a little over a week now. The staff seem to be very kind and treat the patients with upmost care. The facility is a beautiful place, so far I have been very pleased.
Great place! great people! the residents all seem very happy and well taken care of!
My mom was at The Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2004. She had excellent care then and returned home only to return to The Terrace, in 2010 after I started working there just a few days earlier. I work in the Activity department bringing some cheer to our precious residents. My momma was there her last days, as she suffered from Alzheimer’s. I could not have asked for better care for her and it was such a Blessing to work there and be able to spend time with her. I must say, The Terrace has been so very good to me, during my time with them. When difficult times arose in my life, they stood beside me through it all. The loss of my mom & brother as well as my husband’s MVA 10 years ago which , completely changed my life. My coworkers were there for me. I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing coworkers and precious residents as well. I often say, it is my second home and family, for I work with some of the best folks around, that truly care for our residents & one another. It is our goal to encourage, lift their spirits, spend time with them as we work together to give them the best quality of life to live. Many have come there for rehabilitation, we have many who call The Terrace their home and are happy to do so. I’ve watched people come for short stays to heal and go home, to say they will miss us. Many have chosen our facility, to live out their last day's, with us. We have residents who’ve moved here from other states, who say they are so happy they are there with us. I must say, it is an honor to care for them. We do an array of different activities to keep our folks happy and feel loved. I know this has been a bit lengthy, but I must say, I have been so very blessed to have spent the last 13.5 years with some of the most amazing folks I’ve ever known, that have come to stay with us at The Terrace. I know there is no place, like home or that is perfect. But we strive to do our very best to do just that, as we make their lives easier and happier as they adapt to their new surroundings & home, with us here at The Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. . I encourage you to come, take a tour if you are looking for your loved one’s long term home. I feel and pray, that you will go away thinking, this is exactly where you’d love to have your loved one. Trust me, I know how hard it is for them to give up their independence, but we strive to help make it a good adjustment. Last but not least, I want to express how happy & blessed I am, that The Lord led me to The Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to enrich the lives of our precious seniors.
Clean and friendly environment. They really care for their patients.
My grandmother has been here for almost a month and we couldn’t be more pleased! Super clean facility the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping were amazing! And the CNAS are all wonderful and extremely caring! Would highly recommend
The director is a horrible human. Do not trust him with your family!
My mother was a long-term resident at The Terrace. We were very pleased with the staff and her care. When it came time for my father to get the same care, my siblings and I definitely wanted him at The Terrace. We are again very pleased!
Understaffed. Several grumpy and unhelpful workers. My grandmother and her roommate had to yell for an hour to even get any assistance after my grandmother fell.
This is a clean facility with friendly staff!
This place is horrible!!!!!! My dad was placed here for rehab. Has gotten worse. Due to the Covid Virus we have not been able to see him. They leave him laying in the bed for days. He is a chronic pain patient and they have let his prescription for pain medication run out twice within a week. When they have the round call table meeting they are not prepared to answer questions asked about his health. Seem to just be going through the motions. He constantly complains that he isn’t getting enough food to eat. We get little to no information on progress or health. After having doctors appointments or test done there is no feed back. Takes several phone calls and days to get results. They have staff positive for Covid on a weekly bases which keeps them on lock down and prevents families from seeing residents. Almost feels like a way to keep families away so you can’t see what is going on. I wouldn’t recommend this place for an enemy, much less a loved one. Wish I could give zero stars!!
my mother was placed in this facility yesterday 2/13/2020. approximately 1:00. At 5:30 when I enter the facility I herd my mom from way in the back of the facility begging for help. I found her on the floor in her own feces. I could not get anyone to help me lift my mom and get her cleaned up. Finally when the CNA and KMA showed up they informed me of the new law, patients " have the right to fall" "They are used to people screaming, and did not respond to cries of help" The patient must hit the call button. In which my mother had done. At 5:30 my mothers BS was 515, at 9:00pm she had never received her insulin and her BS was to high to register. By midnight, she still had not received insulin. I cannot believe how badly the elderly are treated. It was a seen out of a horror movie. I am speaking for my parent, but their were so many others begging for help. I got in trouble with my family because I did not take a picture of my mother when I found her in that condition. However, in my state of shock, I was simply trying to get my mom up and out of rolling around in her own feces.....
This is the fourth rehab mom has been to. The facility was clean and therapy dept was good. The rest was the worse we have ever encountered!
Very clean and tidy Nursing home, friendly staff and very welcoming environment. Usually Nursing home’s aren’t as nice as this one, but The Terrace is by far one of the best nursing homes in the region.
Sorriest excuse for a medical/nursing/rehab facility I've ever seen or heard about. Dont even deserve a 1 star rating
Top of the line have two relatives here I doubt their is any better.
Wonderful atmosphere for the elder.
My grandmother is living here and the care she receives is excellent. I've been to a few other nursing homes in my life, but none compare to what I see here. Keep up the good work.
