Reviews
for Vitality Living Springdale
The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because they have an amazing activities team. The best I've ever seen. The food is awful, worse than the cheapest frozen dinner. My family members room smelled like old moldy carpet.Again, the activities team is top notch.
My loved one went to Vitality Living Springdale for a respite stay. The staff were all very attentive and easy to reach when I wanted to check on my loved one. The only thing that was disappointing was that they were private pay only. I would recommend this facility to others.
Vitality Living Springdale was extremely nice and clean. The staff was great. The food was good, and that was a big thing. It was a nice place. I like the fact that they can order off of a menu; I like that a lot. That is one of the big things. They have an exercise area and a movie theater. And then they have snacks and stuff for the residents in the dining area.
Thank you team for taking great care of my loved one. I appreciate Ashley's time and patience with us, as we looked for a new area of care for her. We appreciate you!
Horrible place and mgmt. Is very unprofessional. I wouldn't leave my dog in their care.
After a year of our grandmother staying as a resident at vitality living we can confidently say it is a very welcoming home, we are blessed and thankful for the community. She has enjoyed every second while staying there and we feel 100% comfortable with our decision.
This place was the most welcoming place for my family ! Love it !
The patio with the rockers are so inviting. I have seen residents enjoying it very often. The care staff CARES and it is very reasonably priced. The food is very good. The entire place has been remodeled and is so bright and welcoming. The directors are always available and love the residents! My mom was very reluctant to come but really likes it. She can be more independent at Vitality than at home. It is small enough that you don't seel overwhelmed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a family member!
I can't say enough great things about the staff. They have very low turnover so Mom gets to see the same staff consistently. They always keep me in the know with my mom's care needs. The rooms have been completely remodeled with lots of storage and closet space. Although she doesn't participate in activities, there is something for everyone! The food is awesome and mom can always find something she likes! I have been in the memory care and it is always clean and the residents are always engaged in some activity. The directors are always available and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the residents are safe. I highly recommend Vitality Springdale for your loved one!
I find it a very nice, friendly, enthusiastic community. They are sometimes understaffed, but then everywhere is these days.
I have worked at Vitality Springdale for over four years. This is a great community with staff that truly cares about the residents. There are great bonds with all residents. I couldn’t think of a better community to be a part of!
Beautiful place and feels like a real "HOME"! Everyone was friendly especially the Business Manager Leslie Estes! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones!
Leslie Estes is the one to talk to she is caring and will listen to your needs and concerns she is really helpful and willing to do what it takes to satisfy your needs
My loved one was transferred here. It was not perfect, but the directions and most of the staff members were great to us.
We moved my mom in about 8 months ago and have been very pleased. We feel mom is safe and well taken care of. All the staff I have encountered have been very helpful and pleasant. There are many activities throughout the day and opportunities to go on outings if the resident's want to participate. My mom enjoys living there and stays busy with all the activities.
Everything has been good, but it is very expensive. They have great staff. They have been A little lax in cleaning residents' rooms. Overall I would recommend Vitality Living Springdale to others looking for care.
What we like the most about the Vitality Living community is their ability of contact to get update on my family member during her respite stay. We would recommend this community to other families.
The staff are caring and there are always activities scheduled for the residents. My mom has lived here for a year now and has received excellent care. Everyone at Vitality has been very kind to my mom. I am grateful for all they have done for her.
We moved our mom into Vitality and she is thriving. She is so happy, I wish we would have done it a long time. The food is great, the caregivers really care and treat my mom well. We might have to move her to the memory unit and she has already been spending time with the folks back there. I feel relieved my mom is in a place where I know she is loved and taken care of.
My aunt lives at vitality Springdale and she loves it. Our family is so happy she is in a safe place where we don’t have to worry. She is always doing fun stuff and has really made some good friends.
Vitality is a wonderful community! Our entire family felt welcomed there after our grandmother moved in. They offer so many activities to make sure she was happy and the staff was absolutely amazing!
So far, my mother-in-law seems to really like Vitality Living Springdale. She has been involved in a lot of the activities that they've had. She seems to be coming out of her room, which we were worried about. I think everything has been good. She talks about some of the foster cats that they have on campus. She likes animals, so that was a good thing for her. She talks about their outdoor courtyard space. She loves going out there to sit. She seems to be thriving. The staff are great. I have not had the food, but my mother-in-law seems to be enjoying it. It's pristine, very clean, very well organized, and taken care of. They are in the last stages of updating. They all got fresh paint, and all the rooms got fresh flooring. They're still finishing up for the most part in the memory care portion of it. It's just about done, and then they're going to start on the other part of the facility that has assisted living, so it is getting updated too, which was nice to see. With regards to activities, they are nice in getting everybody involved, which is great. One of the biggest things that we were worried about is that my mother-in-law was not going to want to participate, but they geared everything towards them. A lot of the residents have memory issues, Alzheimer's, and dementia, so they get them involved to use their minds daily. In terms of value for money, we visited probably nine other facilities and Vitality Living Springdale was right in the middle of all of them. It is right where we want it to be.
The community is very close to our family which makes visiting very convenient - that was a deciding factor for us. Even though our loved one does not always participate in the activities we appreciate how encouraged the staff members are to our loved one. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend Vitality Living to other families.
I toured with Vitality Living Springdale and really liked the facility. It was very nice and the staff were all wonderful. I took my brother here and he just did not feel that it was as vibrant and active as what he was looking for.
Toured this assisted living and I have found the place for my parents to go . Beautiful and inviting!! Staff is so friendly and welcoming . Such a great experience.
The staff and residents are absolutely amazing! Since joining the team a few months ago, I have seen first hand what Vitality Springdale is all about and it is nothing short of wonderful! Tenured staff, a positive/caring group of directors, kind residents and activities each and every day make being a part of this extended family so worth it!
The sales director [name removed] was absolutely amazing. I was looking for personal care at first but ended up needing memory care for my loved one. The facility was just too large and we were nervous she would get lost.
Good community, not as many activities offered.
I lived here for 2 months while recovering from a physical problem. The staff was beyond excellent, made me feel safe and secure. Of course I will be happy to be back home. But if I need to come to an assisted living. Again, I will come here its like the song from Cheers. I will come where everyone knows my name. (A wonderful experience)
My dad enjoys interacting with other residents and the setting is wonderful.

My mother has been an assisted living resident at Atria-Springdale for three months now. We were warmly welcomed during our initial tour and the same warmth, kindness and genuine sense of caring by the staff has not changed since she initially moved in. The atmosphere is peaceful, well maintained and staffed by kind and caring professionals.
I have lived at this Atria for yrs. I know we are at the best place. I have friends at other Atria's & they don't get to go places I think we have the best employee's. The driver's; are very kind & thoughtful with a smile.
Very kind helpful. Staff. They seem to care, not just get a paycheck.
We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The location wasn't as central for our family as we would have liked. It was very clean and nice. It was a good place.
The staff is very caring and I am glad we made this choice. The community is neat and clean and they take good care of my loved one. The food is good and they have activities available for the residence. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
We chose Atria Springdale because I liked the look of the facility, the rooms, the staff were amazing and it just felt like a place that my loved one would be comfortable in. The room sizes here are really good for the value, they also have options on sizes as well based on your needs. The staff members have been great with communication, especially with not being able to go inside the facility. They are very responsive and helpful and I would recommend them to others who are looking.
I think the thing that I didn't know that I would have liked to have known is that it can be difficult to have your loved one reevaluated for level of care needed if they improve. Our loved one went in at a higher level of care that was more expensive because she was recovering from a surgery, so we thought she would get down to a lower level once she recovered. And now that she'd doing better, I've been asking for months for her to be reevaluated and running up against a wall. So if your loved one is improving, just know it has proven difficult for us to obtain a new evaluation. I'm also frustrated that there's no consistency in friendliness of the staff. Several times they've let me push my loved one back to her room, and other times I've been confronted kind of rudely with no solutions offered - like, oh we'll do it, or if you're wearing a mask or vaccinated, it's okay. That lack of consistency is the worst part. I feel like she's gotten great care, and they seem to help her as much as she wants them to. The limited amount of areas I've seen have been very clean. The residents have just lately been able to get back to eating in the dining room. Any friction we've experienced has been about communication. At this point, I'm just feeling like they don't want to revaluate her and take her down a care level, which isn't sustainable for us.
Excellent care for my father in law!!!
My mother has sundowners and her cat helps her out during these times. Atria has helped with any concerns mom has about her cat and it helps out a lot. The staff is so polite and caring. They treat everyone and animals like family. When you walk into Springdale it just feels like home. I might visit my mom, but I am also visiting my other family.
Great Covid protocols
Went to get covid vaccine for my job. Present place
I visited later in the evening. I was not able to tour because of Covid, but the people there that came out and spent time with me, after hours, were very warm, and they have followed up. That would probably be a good place. I didn't get to go see the inside, but they were all busy decorating for Christmas and everybody seemed happy. I could only look through the windows, but there were a lot of seniors visiting each other. The outside appearance was very nice, just having to look through the windows. It looked modern and fairly new. They were nice and lovely. I was impressed by the staff.
My mother has lived at Atria for over 4 years. She started out in the assisted living side and now lives in memory care. Staff at Springdale love her. They have really done a great job during this pandemic keeping everyone safe and keeping us informed.
I have been a caregiver for a few months now, and I can honestly say I love it here. I would feel completely comfortable sending my family member here.
A wonderful facility full of kind, compassionate, and caring people. Their jobs are currently being made much more difficult as we all struggle through this pandemic. I appreciate the way they try to engage the residents during this difficult time.
Just had to move my Mother from the Atria on Springdale. Due to their rigid Covid-19 policy my Mother really suffered mentally and physically the last six months. Her mental decline was astonishing and she lost ten pounds. I am heartbroken how she lived for the last several months. When I went into her apartment to pack her things it was FILTHY!! I was horrified. Clearly, no one had been cleaning it. In addition I had been paying for laundry service that was not being done. She tried to wash it herself and it was stolen before she got back to finish it. Perhaps the saddest was a incident where the aides had been taunting her that one of my Mother’s neighbors reported to me. They were short staffed and not all the aides should be caring for the elderly. In my opinion it seems that protecting the facility against possible litigation from Covid-19 is of greater importance than their basic humanity of caring for their residents.
We couldn’t have picked a better place for Mom. It was hard convincing her to move from her home, but once at Atria, Mom started to thrive. The activities, the friends she made, she was smiling and soon enjoying life again. I would love to eat lunch with her in the dining room. The food and atmosphere were very nice. Mom had choices with every meal, she loved being able to choose her favorites. My only regret is not getting moved to Atria Springdale sooner. Her quality of life was so much better there, and the staff truly cared about her!
Just wanted to leave a Short note about the excellent care that Atria provided for my grandmother. They were awesome with catering around what her interests and hobbies are when she was on assisted living and allowed her to keep her cat. Taking her keys was perhaps the biggest issue with her moving in. They allowed us to keep her car there in the parking lot where she could see her car every day. She quickly realized that she didn’t need her car because Atria had transportation that would take her anywhere she wanted to go. This made a hard transition so much easier because we were able to make small changes at a time rather than take all of her independence at once. When she got a little older and the dementia started getting worse, they helped make the transition to the Life Guidance as seemless as possible. She was able to live a dignified life. Thank you to all the staff that made this possible.
